Hey guys. We try to get to the spam as fast as possible, but unfortunately it seems like the majority of it gets posted overnight/early morning. We're looking into some new anti-spam measures since it does seem to be getting out of hand.

Like I said, why not just give a few prominent and regular posters moderator rights so they can get rid of the crap as soon as it appears?

I think that far better sollution would be permanently blocking the ability of spreading spam (IPs bans?), than allow it to happen then delete everything... I find it time consuming and NOT as effective...

I am thinking more short term while it takes however long it is going to take to look at and implement alternative anti spam systems. IP bans won't work as they are probably bouncing through proxy servers left, right and centre.

Look at tha last hour and a half - 85 posts of sheer spam posted
