Immortal talisman bug?

Was testing some creative pvp defenses this morning and noticed that the immortal talismans fail to revive the undead axis gunner. He did not have permadeath and he had high enough hp to withstand the blow and be revived. I tested at least 8 times under different circumstances and he did not revive once.
Not sure if it is isolated to this character or not but he is the only one I’ve tested with immortal talismans that would not revive.
Might be worth looking into.

Edit: To add to the wackyness- I tried testing using the same teams and if I change the position of the toons he does in fact revive. But if I put him back in the same position as my initial test - no revive? Odd
