I agree 100% with that specific example. But, as a Day 1 player who still hasn't seen a Cyborg, I'd gladly take an opportunity to get one guaranteed. I think the specific parameters of purchaseable characters have to be closely controlled (to avoid things like your example) but I support the basic mechanism of escaping RNG - preferably via in-game currencies.

I agree with this, imagine that the devs take advantage of this and put on sale a valuable character (7th Son for example), I mean, they are fair deals, but I'm afraid this is a step in the wrong direction.

I honestly think these are low price enticements for new players... there for 6 days when they start playing, then gone forever. I mean $2 for 3 Skill Shards certainly doesn't hold with normal pricing, it's roughly 10x cheaper. It's merely that it's new code and the easiest solution is to have all players see them for the first 6 days it's live. (also, that way older players can't complain new players have offers they never saw).

I had decided that I will not play this game with any hope anymore, I bought both starter packs cause well, they are a nice deal for the items they offer, so why not...

But... not anymore.

Seconds after I bought the Adventurer and Hero packs, another two packs showed up, with higher prices and a Gunner Chopper included, this sounds so shady for me... Here have a biscuit, good huh?!

So before anyone start to bash and say that I should just quit since "you don't like the game anymore", well I will just let the pros and cons about the game and why I keep playing nonetheless.

Pros:

Eddies.
Community.
Game looks fantastic for me, the recent Eddies/units are just awesome modeled.

Go and check the lyrics, the first part of the music is LotB in a nutshell, yeah, that's just how sad this is, an Iron Maiden game, that ended up being just a BS Song, punt intended).
Some dubious and shady behavior regarding souls/randomness/odds.
Starting to feel like a P2W pattern is forming.

So why do I keep playing then?

Just because it's Iron freaking Maiden with an awesome Community behind it.

With they being offered? I have absolutely nothing against then, It's just the "hidden" aspects of the higher tiered ones that I found a little bit shady, why the Legendary pack had to be hidden until you buy the Starter pack? (It only showed up for me after I bought the starter pack).

Well OFC everyone will be playing like crazy, cause well you know... Relics are here, they cost Iron Coins, only way to get Iron Coins is doing arena, so...

As boring as it is, is the ONLY way you can get the Relics, I'm not worried that people are playing like crazy, I'm worried that people can become crazy and start to get Visions outside the game too...

But, let us worry not, Gauntlet is coming soon™. /s
