Serious question here. Do you guys have any intention of releasing actual new content? I'm not talking just updated graphics like you did with the arena last year or satellite 15 which wasn't a bad thing but it was hardly anything worth waiting for. I'm talking about new playable content.

If you do, is there any kind of timeline you can give us? 3 months, 6 months, another year?

I know! I'm getting to the point of just autoplaying arena now because it means even less attention I have to pay to the game. There goal is apparently to bore all the longtime players into quitting.

I hadn't realized how excruciating it was to actually play NOTB over and over for the event missions that I quit after the 5 Gunner only battles for fragments. There was no way I was going to do 25 more for 5 souls that were going to give me 3* dupes.

Pretty much playing anything I can on auto now...

I for one am really looking forward to that fresh content, where we get some of the obvious explorations of Maiden lore - you know, the Somewhere In Time world, the abandoned Asylum that once held POM Eddie, the Operahouse where we get Phantom Eddie... none of which will EVER happen. Maiden has developed a full culture around their art and their music, one that is perfect for a game like this, and one that provides unlimited stories and ideas for keeping the target audience - the Maiden fan - completely engaged. But instead we were pacified with what, BNW? A cool land with an awesome boss, but it took 12 mins to clear a level to get extremely poor rewards. And NO storyline. Just a reskin of the LOL grind with a different boss. Honestly, I can't even remember when I played part of this game on manual or looked forward to the outcome of whatever it was I was doing - other than looking forward to it being over. Where's the 7th Son mission and the key to unlock him when you purchase a physical copy of the 7th son anniversary CD with bonus live content? No, this doesn't exist. Of course. So many missed opportunities for Maiden and the fans, it's disgusting.

This game has something that so many games wish they had - a built in audience and infinite promise. But that promise has quickly proven to be simply infinite dreams, with no delivery where it really matters. Most of us are still here because we believe in the potential, or have a sick compulsion (both for many of us). But at some point you have to stop believing that the kid will grow up and be a professional pitcher when he still can't throw a fucking ball. And I hope things change, and we get new content, and this game turns it around and starts to live up to its potential, blah blah blah. When that day comes, I'll be back, excited, and playing alongside you with the same music we love blasting in the background. But until then, my dear Troopers, I'm barely getting it done for you, and I likely won't be. So if badges are important to you then no hard feelings for the drop. I just don't have it in me to even autoplay down 20% of my phone's battery right now.

I hadn't even thought of the promotional tie ins! 7th Son anniversary edition with a key would have been awesome. Oh the missed opportunties!

I find it harder and harder to complete my daily "obligations" as well. Maybe it is time to take a break from this mess. They've beaten us down Mariner...

That sucks to hear, but it's about where I'm at as well. They couldn't even get the beast event right. Show of hands for those that think it should have been a sacrifice event. That shouldn't even have to be said. I guess they really are listening to that Britney Spears playlist.

many opportunities wasted ... I still remember when BNW was still blocked and said "play bnw to unveil the mysteries of talismans" ( or something like that) then came and nothing of that, no history, just another boring dungeon with poor rewards.
like many I still play for my troopers and nothing else, without new worlds and without even getting the new characters, there is no more to do with the game.

I've been on and off, every now and then an event has me playing it, but this shows the state of the players. Whenever I'd take a break before, I'd start losing troopers, I haven't lost any in a couple months. I have 12 inactive troopers. The longest is about a month and a half away from being gone a year, and I miss them.

I haven’t even looked at the game for two days. Just auto my troooers while it’s in my pocket. My patience with all this is about up. And I feel like we’ve all been incredibly patient. Not even any acknowledgement from the devs is really disheartening. This game is going nowhere. I’m enjoying MSF quite a bit more than waiting on LotB.

Yeah, this event and the last one have been pretty boring for me. "Oh a Gunner event, too bad I already have all the 5* Gunners". All this event really did was give my Viking Eddie and a bunch of skill shards. It also drained all of my gold away too. The Beast event was a dumpster fire, no other way of seeing it as such.

I understand that NF is a small crew but they really ought to hire more people, with the kind of money they make from the game, is it really that big a deal? All it would do is get more content out faster, which brings in more new players and brings back the old ones, thus making them more money to compensate. At this point I'm just full casual, only playing the game if there's nothing else for me to possibly do, because now I just don't like the game anymore. I'm thinking about giving them till either the 2nd anniversary or until the Brave New World anniversary this August. Then I'm out for good.

I bet the devs will not comment this thread.

They got till tour for me. If nothing is released along side the tour, then I have no hope.

I'm wary even if something DOES release with the tour. Say we get NC...do we wait another 2 years for more content? I certainly wont.

I agree. Something new has to come. Next wave of day one players is currently leaving. Even Slauki is really quite. Guess we have finally lost him to MSF.

Highly likely. This is the only mobile game I actually play, so if I quit it's console only for me.

If anyone plays similar apps to this, you will notice it is not new content/storyline based, that's just a backbone to support events. It's event based. Let's not fool ourselves, if nightcity is new content like BNW , it will be cleared in days and the new crying will continue.

but the other games have guilds, new game modes, raids (new challenges based on these)or even a chat with other players.
Lotb only has the arena, events based on the same game modes that we all have already passed a million times and promises that the new content is "just around the corner", after a while this only becomes boring.

I'd kind of like to redo the story mode, like have an option to turn on all in game dialogue and cutscenes as if it's your first playthrough. That would be kind of fun for a while.

But I agree, pretty much every game I play has a bursting amount of content or game modes. Marvel Future Fight is notoriously p2w but it still has a ton of content and interesting things to do, like shadowlands, world boss, alliance battle, legendary battles, and a bunch more.
I've been playing for around 5 or 6 months and there's still more walls for me to overcome. Although I stopped playing Marvel Strike Force a few weeks back in favor of more daily activities (Netflix and Comics) it was still a fun game to play. It JUST came out and it has more things to do than this game.

This game was never meant to be elaborate and was designed to be a short term money grab for the band. Bruce Dickinson did promo videos for Trooper beer. Aside from showing a teaser video at concerts, I haven’t seen any band members promoting the game. They license the art, logo and music but that was the end of their involvement. Aside from the forum members, I don’t think the majority of players take this free mobile game that seriously. The band will do a tie in tour, for some new players who might spend real money to boost a new team. Maybe they’ll release some new toy figures and comics. But after Night City I wouldn’t expect any regular release of new content... The game will die a slow stagnant death as players get bored and leave. Iron Maiden will find a new product to license and this game will be a historic novelty like the EdHunter game...

Perhaps more levels could be added to existing worlds? The art is done, the characters on the map for each battle would need sharding up and level 100 with maxed talismans and the rewards multiplied. We as a community of frustrated players wanting new content could play a "Beyond Madness" world level through all the existing stuff, no adding new enemies or animations, just changing the stats of what is already there. They could offer some more challenging play for very little effort in comparison to all the work the devs outlined for making Silent Planet or Night City operational.

Doing this may save players who have spent lots of time energy and money creating great teams and having lost their hunger for playing the game.

I actually think that this is what the the extreme difficulty event is about. The launch of a level beyond Madness for each World.

All I know is that Alexander Eddie shows up as an achievable drop via fragments or a soul during coming events.... that's it. I'm done with the game entirely.

Well I have the ut most respect for all the players who have commented in this thread, you guys are the ones that keep it real!
I thought way back when I first came across this game that the only way I could make it to the top was to just slug it out, I can't beat you guys in the PVP so I guess as the longer term players walk away from the game I'll just have to keep going till I end up there by default!
I agree with everything said above too but as boring as it can get I just set myself personal goals fitting out all maxed characters with maxed talismans and skill shards... a lofty goal I know but as long as it will take me to do it I have faith the game will change...
Hang in there somehow fellow troopers!!

What ever happened to the idea to simply give the computer the first turn on all quest battles?
That should be a very simple thing to implement, but it would change the missions completely.
