Revive a dead ally and grant them Shroud status for 3 turns.

Great Eddie, I wish he was a bit less of glass cannon since he is not meant to inflict massive damage but rather lower enemies abilities ;-)
I don't think he's really a "glass canon". Granted he's not as resilient as the last few Eds - 7S, Clansman, Iron, Alex - but he's no Rainmaker Ed either :)

I guess you are right, i just thought he was a replacement for my Iron Eddie... I like change from time to time ;-)

So I just got him to drop from a legendary during a high sacrifice, so, how to run him? Well assassins seem to be good in his purple slots, 1 set alone and it’s already like +1,100 to attack stats. Alternatively immortal for some survivability, and fate for the same, along with ascension which could really add up in the damage. But what do we think about his free slots? My common go to is energy, especially on characters that have great basic attacks such as astra, and it adds more health than a lot of them. Any more suggestions?

After some use, I can say that beast Eddie auto AI puts a LOT of emphasis on last judgement. Almost any time I have at least 4 power, the AI will 90% use last judgement, and that only prolongs the fights when any move could take out the earlier worlds. I’d rather see the AI have a little more diversity. When it comes to the basic moves, it uses them all fairly evenly, but ONLY if I don’t have the power for last judgement, and by that logic, it can’t use any of its other power moves either

So as an update on last judgement, and the overuse of it by the AI, if you have the power for it, the auto AI will often like to use last judgement twice in a row (which literally does nothing, so that’s just a waste of 4 power and time). I even just had an instance of him using it 3 times in a row! Now that is just rediculous, and needs to be looked at. There’s no need for a character to use all 12 of your power doing the same move over and over, for it to have no effect beyond the first use, it’s not like the effect stacks, it’ll still just revert to 2 stacks
I agree, since when is the default move the power move??

Yeah, the meteor he throws is entirely out of sync with the animation.
So, animation is amazing...but except that is Beast Eddie any good? I have around 60 skill shards so i want to invest a little, but is he good investment?

I'd be inclined to say he's the best Assassin Eddie aside from Iron Eddie. If you want a pure, high damage monster who inflicts debuffs that no other characters can (Bloodlust) and can stop most enemies in their tracks. The only status effects he has a hard time dealing with are ghost, endure, and immortality. Everything else can pretty much be taken care of. His future basic attack is what I go to 99% of the time, his present basic attack is very situational, and his past basic can work very well as long as there isn't a sentinel Lilith on the enemy team. His present power ability (in my opinion) is a god send. It grants an extra turn, has low power cost, and lets your damage become a healing ability as well. His past power is good against the gunner valkyrie, and any character that heals their team every turn (it inflicts crave). His future power is okay at best, as it revives a teammate and gives them the shroud effect, but the health they revive with is very little, allowing for maybe 10 hits before they die. His fury is borderline broken against a team that can't get immunity, because it inflicts Doom, which guarantees death, Furious Burn, which allows you to basically spam his fury, and it also cleanses every negative effect that your team has. So yes, he's good, but you will need a team to back him up, whereas Iron Eddie typically backs up his other teammates. He deals huge damage, but can be killed if the enemy team's AI decides to target him in particular.
In my experience thus far.. Beast Ed is an easy kill in all instances.
And while he's an decent attacker.. he's nowhere up to Clansman, 7S, IE, or PoM attack.

I have not personally obtained this eddie but it seems poor to say it the least. I have encountered several in various setups in the arena and absolutely non of them have been a challenge.
It seems like he is a cool eddie and one for the collectors but nothing else to say - simply not up to the task of surviving.

I actually think he’s very good, but only if you can keep him alive a little. His guaranteed effects as opposed to chances are always nice to see, it’s one of the reasons I like 7Son so much.
However, that said, I do not think he is a very good character with the AI playing. My feelings about last judgement overuse aside, the more complex eddies we get, the harder it is for the AI to use them effectively. If you manually run beast Eddie, he’s quite strong, but that’s when you choose the best move for the turn, and the AI has a hard time judging what’s the best move in your scenario

If we're talking about Beast Eddie as AI, he's god awful. He's only good when a human is in control of him. Otherwise, he's useless due to his inability to pick the right moves.

I feel like that’s something that’s going to happen more often, with more complex characters, effects, and stuff like that’s being added. I remember back in the day grim Eddie would try to do like spell vamp or something a lot on auto, and I’m like why? 7Son is one of the few eddies I feel the AI picks good moves, then again, he has a lot of utility uses, so it’s hard to pick a bad move for him. They’ve proved they can slightly tweak a moves AI, but the AI in the game in general sucks. Don’t want a character using a crappy fury, when everyone needs revived, or something

Well there has been an update to him. His Power Present, Last Judgement, is now 5 Energy rather than 4. This is a bit annoying, but it's nothing too game changing. However, on the other hand, his Power Past, Ninth Circle, now costs 5 Energy rather than 6. This is actually amazing, because now this ability can be used on the second turn of PvP if your team goes first and he manages to survive the turn, he can now get rid of immunity and invincibility earlier, making quick work of certain characters (Azov). His AI apparently also works better now, so we'll see how that pans out.

I noticed the AI change during skull quests before I noticed the power change. Im not sure the change to last judgement is the correct way to handle it. Yes, it can’t do 3x in a row anymore, cool. And it does make it a little harder to do 2x In a row. But I feel like that’s effecting the AI more than anything. It feels like upping the power cost, artificially made the AI play better, by limiting it, rather than the AI actually picking better. Should last judgement be a 5 cost? Maybe, unsure, but it feels more like a band aid fix.
Ninth circle on the other hand, nice to see. The move wasn’t that powerful for a 6 cost, it didn’t even do damage. It just puts crave on the enemies, and is only worth it if they even have the immunity on, or they heal a lot, but you could just use baphomets fire instead.
I hope they continue to tune him just a tad more, he feels good, but I think there’s just a little more work that could be done
The AI fix seems good. Can now auto-replay and farm NotB madness with Beast Ed, Gunner CotD, and W Lilith.

Got 5 Cat Souls for 300 win earlier this week and got Beast....got 5 Cat Souls for 400 win today....got Beast again.
I have managed to win a couple matches in the current meta but I just don't feel as confident about him as an everyday attacker and I think I have only lost only a couple of matches against him so the AI is not too strong. Still experimenting with talismans and allies though I would think he needs a blocker or damage reducers class since he is still squishy.

I agree, in normal use he’s fragile. I’ve always kept Golden pharaoh dog on in pvp since I got him, and usually always kept astra. My green harpy or blue Lilith are In my other slot, I’ve found good use, I’m just not sure who I want with beast Eddie, and who I want with 7Son Eddie, as those are my 2 main pvp teams. I can say GPD and blue Lilith definitely keep him alive under most cases, barring prisoner

So his animations have been updated. His fury looks right now, and call me crazy but the Last Judgement ability has a bigger circle now.

I experimented with shadow talismans and and Assassin pyro. The first attack is like nuclear strike, took out Garden of Life X boss shield with one hit. And Assassin Pyro hits consumes burning effects of Beast Eddie fury attack. Only problem is to keep them alive in auto combat.

I know it isn't the best set but I have Fate Talismans (purple) for the Ascension, Immunity, and Immortality and Immortal Talisman as a back up. I'm seeing decent results but I'm still experimenting with the build.

i use eclipse or fate + Nightmare. I would say eclipse is better though. I prefer to use my "proc on perfect basic" talismans on regular characters, not eddies.

I know Beast Eddie isn't the only one that can cause doom but I'm curious about something. On an enemy such as the Magus Golden Son, would doom (assuming it doesn't get cleansed) take care of it's passive revive ability?
