This is the main post to discuss tuning changes that are in an upcoming update.

Well it does appear Horus is coming soon :)
Interesting so much is being done to Coalgiver.
Not thrilled about G Lilith's decrease, but given that Primordials grant her Crit Strike which results in 20-30K damage.. yeah maybe. Without Crit Strike I think her MAG was fine.

One of the things I noticed about the pre-nerf of the Primordials was that any character who had Shroud would take a huge amount of damage from dual Damage dealers like Sentinel Lillith. Not too happy about the Gunner Lillith nerf either. She is one of the few characters I have that can survive the Primordial onslaught and deal enough damage to overcome some of the Blocker/Destiny builds.

NF this time deliver a nice and clean update you had a few of those in the past and we all loved them will be a good start after all the issues from the past weeks .
More ways to counter primordial talismans were needed good that those will come with the next update.
One more thing that need to be address is the tuning or introduce of a counter for the Destiny talismans giving toons all kinds of buffs at least remove invisibility with all the buffs is difficult to still it removing it will balance those talismans without giving buyers remorse to those who bought them the good thing is that those talismans were not available for everyone just for those who want to pay for an advantage in pvp but once they become available for everyone even they will not be happy with how over power those talismans really are I want to know your response about this Kaz.
A good change for Valor talismans adding perfect health as a golden buff .
Rainmaker will make his debut in pvp for me he deserved to be there how about returning Vampire Hunter to his former glory he’s a 5 stars compare with Iron Eddie a 4 stars IE is doing way better than a 5 stars with all those talismans that we have now VE is not OP anymore he needs some changes.

Good stuff on the way, I skilled out my rainmaker few weeks ago, now I'm very curious to test him after the powerful buff. Can't wait for Horus too, his skills looks very interesting.

Very cool changes and I like the tease for the gauntlet beta. I like the buffs for the Eddie's and Valor Talismans could actually be useful now, if they removed any single buff per person in addition to Golden buffs then they'd be Primordial level in my opinion.
Seriously can't wait for the Eternal Talismans because I know that it's gonna drive players insane XD.

So I'm making an educated guess here that the powers that be would like to see a bit more variety of characters used particularly in the arena and in particular more Eddies than the standard Beast Eddie, Iron Eddie, Visions Eddie etc...

Will Rainmaker Ed need more Skill Shards adding to him after this? He already takes 32! Hopefully not too many more.
Hopefully your are kind to Gunner Lilith and don’t ruin her damage. Yes with the right buffs she’s killer, but without them she’s fine.

Changes to Rainmaker ... Highly appreciated ... Finally ... He was my first 5* ever and In the beginning had the special bug (fury every turn) ... But since this was corrected he wasn't any useful .... I guess that could change now ...
Wow, and I thought that sharding up Rainmaker long ago was a total waste of Skill Shards. I think I was wrong.

I started to shard Rainmaker slowly a few weeks ago and gave him one or two SS every week. He still needs 21 to be finished. It seems like It was a wise decision and just in time before the buff. Mystic Eddie was the last Eddie I finished last month. Devs must have read my mind. :)

I recentrly got an Aset Goddes from an Nile soul, very happy about that, she s a great character, but his basic atack have an 50% chance to eliminate up to 2 positive effects. But in the battles this 50% seems lower, removing only one positive efect from 1 from 4 chracters. When theres only one enemy this triggers in 1 from 4 atacks, its really frustrating against enemys like Golden LOL. Maybe review hers % or add it up to 55 or 65, not to much, i know its like a revive-team-character

I'm sorry but kamuz got the point. I got two sets of destiny myself but I don't use it in arena. Despite their buff granted seems to work on defense only. I'm currently holding 99% attack rate because I lost only 3 matches so far. Guess which team against with? Destiny talisman equipped by magus lilith. No matter what she seems invincible. Perfect corraption, stun, nothing seems to quite her extra buff given by Destiny talisman. This is quite annoying because even the best strategy is ripped off due this situation. Gonna try new setup but so far I didn't foudn any reliable counters to those.

Hi kamuz, felice, stormseye! I'm agree that destiny and primordial talismants are the 2 best talismants sets atm :)
For the destiny tals, locking beneficial effect is a good counter (iron eddie's main skill for example)
Primordial tals can be ennoying when they put perfect immunity on a blocker who has invincibility or heal shield...

Just out of curiosity Shaolin, are you running Primordial Set in order to achieve 99% win rate? Of course we cannot compare every players build due to relics and character choices but most people know what characters are doing well and which aren't. What was your win rate before Primordial talismans, since Destiny sets were in play already. What is your current defense hold rate if it also has Primordials? The average hold rate has spiked to unheard of percentages now and it is directly related to one set of talismans.
You have proven time and time again that you have the ability to make great top builds but I find it hard to believe you are having that much issue from Destiny talisman and have no problem going against Primordial sets builds. I try not to seem too biased in my commentary because as someone who doesn't have Primordial sets, I could easily be seen as just a complainer but I defend the people that put in the time ,resources and in some cases real money to get them. They should not be penalized due to a bug riddled event release. My feeling are the same for the Destiny set. At the same time though, looking at the two sets, one has changed the pvp arena completely and one has not. No other character or event or talisman has made that huge of am impact on the player rankings.
I know I am going off topic here as the focus should be on the upcoming changes but if we are looking at changing a talisman set then it should start with the most obvious game changing sets. As I said, I completely agree that Destiny sets are strong but they are, in my experience, easily countered and in no way game changing. I actually have more issues with a WUR equipped with Steel talismans, which I believe were also only obtainable initially via cash only. I could be wrong but I think they were later obtainable via an event? I paid real money for the Destiny set and I would not feel any slight if they were made available to anyone later on down the road.

Stormeye i been countering destiny talismans in the same way you do but im not able to apply perfect corruption or block beneficial effects if the toon also has immunity if you are lucky you will remove it in the first round but if not you end up doing 2 or 3 rounds just trying to apply perfect corruption or blocking effects because is base on RNG there is no toon that can remove effects 100% or any toon blocking effects 100% and you end up with long fights just because a set of talismans at least primordial have a counter Valor talismans remove one golden effect with every attack and with the next tuning Valor talismans will get better I use Valor talismans in every attack team that I use or maybe I’ve been doing a poor job dealing with them any other suggestions of how finish those fights faster

I know speed is your key but I guess I just have good luck with ACR and Sentinel Lillith even Prisoner seal as stopped the Destiny set from populating. You just have to hit her first with the correct character. Multi-hitters tend to cause more harm than good vs that set though. That is the reason I was disappointed when they removed ghost from the Primordial set. 80% of the time Magus would get ghost buff and then you just remove with Clansman and she dies - permadeath. Now its the Sentinel Lillith that gets Crit Strike and nothing can do enough damage to offset that. The Destiny set just doesn't cause me nearly as much issues.

Prisoner seal as stopped the Destiny set from populating
Seal is not supposed to do that seal was supposed to affect abilities not talismans effects or that’s what I thought, I’ll try seal later
Arena is so busted in terms of buffs I don't know where to start :) Buffs not appearing, appearing when they shouldn't... toons doing things they shouldn't be doing without a buff (toons reviving with no Immortality anywhere to be seen)... Buffs appearing AFTER a debuff has been applied and removing the debuff (stun with Prisoner, PI miraculously appears AFTER the hit and removes the stun)...
It's quite comical.

It's becomes Golden Buff central. Don't expect any Rare Gunner/Assassin souls in your weekly reward unless you are running Primordials. He still has to survive the Crit Strike, Immortality, Perfect Immunity character plus have Exhaust,Seal and perfect corruption on himself and I don't see him having over 40khp even on the best of days. There will be as much an impact as Beast Eddie made. Minimal at best.

But when they change a characters skill I imagine they keep in mind that many troopers have already placed skill shards in them, they would never change a character skill that would compromise skill shards someone has invested in a character would they?
Or change the number of skill shards that character holds?
People could be playing what they believe is a fully skill sharded character only to find out they were short one or two or worse still had them removed from their character....

Yes. They may INCREASE the skill shard number. That's what happened when Tailgunner got a revamp. I don't think they would ever reduce the skill shards, that would be silly of them to do. but they may increase to allow more "power" to some moves.
Honestly though.. Rainmaker is such a skill shard draining character taking I think the most, if not close to the most, of any Eddie. I can't see how giving him MORE skill shard slots would be beneficial overall. He's got decent moves, they are just a bit underpowered in today's playing field (and having little or no yellow/grey buff abilities). My biggest bitch about Rainmaker is that he's always been way way way way too low for base HP, MR, and DEF stats.

Okay. I'm not reinstalling the game any time soon then. I've never heard of Primordials.

Rainmaker was increased by 1 when they changed his main attack last year if I remember.

As Destiny Talismans were mentioned I have to ask.
Their description says;
‘Reduces all damage dealt to allies by 20% and generates a random Defensive Beneficial Effect on self when you take damage’
In my last Arena battle I won the toss and their Magus Lilith had Perfect Immunity and that was it. I attacked with Gunner Lilith and after one attack she then had Invisibility (standard against Destiny Talismans, happens 97% of the time) a Titan sheild and MR up. 3 Blue buffs from one attack.
If that’s how they are supposed to work then they are messed up and need changing. Description says ‘A randon Defensive Beneficial Effect’ no mention about multiple Effects being added.

It is one effect per hit. G Lillith hits 4 times per attack.

Thought that could have been the case as well. Maybe they should change the description to ‘generates random Defensive Beneficial Effect on self for every hit of damage you take’ or something similar. Give more indication that damage includes the amount of hita in the attack.
Or maybe that getting beneficial effects for every hit you get is over the top and just change it so it’s one per attack, regardless of how many hits that attack does.

Are you gonna let us all in on the secret or is this exclusive stuff??
On PVP I have noticed today that using S Lilith to remove perfect immunity on a character may or may not remove the perfect immunity buff but whether it removes it or not the character (whom may still be showing the perfect immunity buff) still takes negative buffs on.
This has happened on quite a few occasions, I thought I was seeing things but apparently just another PVP bug if only a minor one...

I like your solution. I guess Destiny Talis will now disappear quickly.

I use POM Eddie fury and get ok results with this, can't wait for the Kamuz 100% trick to be revealed. I don't have these, wanted to buy but by the time PayPal transfer happened they were gone. Don't have Valor or Fate either, hope these will all be available through playable rewards instead of real cash or the even more valuable iron coin. I wonder if anyone buys any Fate talismans, or anything else other than Relics with ic? I am scrambling to stay afloat with the arms race along side those who had a bank of ic when Relics were introduced. Slauki said he had 35k? All the top arena players must have accumulated massive head start on this endeavor vs up and comers arriving late to the party!

Ok guys here a simple but very effective way of how to deal with Destiny Talismans for that you will need Magus Chopper we have so many characters that I forgot about this one his power move steal all the beneficial effects including golden and inflict perfect corruption for 2 turns with that you will take advantage of all the buffs and kill the destiny talismans with one move the rest is just easy so that’s how I been dealing with those talismans no more long fights guys \m/

Thankyou Kamuz it's very kind of you to share your solution with us, I have him somewhere too, but no skill shards as yet looking at the long list of toons I've been meaning to power up it could be a while before I get to him.... I might wait and see how popular he becomes in the arena first.

You probably wont see him on the defense side Rags as the ability is meant to deal with a specific character equipped with a specific talisman set. Most likely he will only be used on Attacker side where you can control his actions manually.

One question: Will the update also target the Unity data problem? I really hope so, because the number and frequency of freezes is just insane in the moment!

That’s exatly the point. We have sound turned off in the game, but still have sound coming through. I have to turn the sound off on my device to kill it.
They prevents me listening to music using the Bluetooth on my phone while playing, because the game sound leaks through.
You don’t have this bug Rags?

This is my issue...how can I listen to Powerslave in the car and still have PoM Eddie yelling every 5 seconds while I run auto ….wait a minute...that's so metal!!….no no please fix it...

HuckFinn150: I noticed that too. However, if you then tap the Time Rift and swipe to Silent Planet and then Time Rift back, it has a lock on it. Doesn't happen if you Time Rift back from Silent Planet to say, Underworld, so I'm assuming it's a display bug for the lock not triggering immediately.
I also noticed 2 extra challenges in the Achievements tab:
Gauntlet Gladiator I (Win 5 Gauntlet Battles)
Gauntlet Run I (Clear Grade F of the Gauntlet)
Clicking the "Go" button for the first one takes me to the Arena tab, so I suspect it'll get turned on as an extra tab in there soon enough.

G Lillith hits like wet noodle now. Think GPD hits harder. Damn shame what they did to that Lillith.....the only character who could even remotely damage the most common theme in PVP is now a trophy for collectors.

G Lillith hits like wet noodle now. Think GPD hits harder. Damn shame what they did to that Lillith.....the only character who could even remotely damage the most common theme in PVP is now a trophy for collectors.

I agree my fully sharded gunner Lilith hits for 750/hit
Even tho I built her for damage
Her damage is roughly half compared to before
It’s so weak that my 4star alliance bomb boy hits harder
I think this nerf of her needs some adjustments
Now that she is ment to be pretty much pure support
Maybe instead of smite change it to curse status and give it 100% application and keep the beneficial effect removal
Deal 4 hits of magical damage to all enemies 50% chance of stealing beneficial effects with first three hits, apply curse with the final hit
The reason for curse is so that she can support all damage types teams instead of only benefiting magic team.
Second thought
Honestly people probably find her hitting too hard only because the true damage spike that goes after people with golden buffs
I think keeping her previous damage but attach her golden buff interaction of her base attack to her power skill would be a solid balance instead of just cutting her damage output in half.
She is so weak that she heals green Krampus/Green Lilith/heal shield teams and becomes more dead weight against destiny amulet.

So what about rainmaker and mystic? Are they useful now? I'm thinking on maybe sharding one of them if i don't get nothing worth from anniversary souls.
Yesterday I put shards on Rainmaker and run some battles. He is quite fun but fervor doesn't remove golden buffs so often. Using eclipse talismans on him and hits really hard. Still wouldn't trust him to be my main attack Eddie.
Even with that changes I don't think Mystic is worth to shard.

Valor Talisman don’t remove golden Buffs when used on a newborn. They work with other chars, but not on a newborn.
They work when it is your turn, not when revenge. hope that is a bug.

Revenge seems to be bugged anyway. For example, revenge to a char with shroud does not do any damage. Also, revenge can remove buffs, but shields (e.g. void or thorn) seem to be ignored as they do not remove buffs or inflict heal block etc. thereafter.
After load screen a notice pops up stating an error has occurred and the game must be restarted. I have reported, but no response yet.

I can confirm that we are aware of these issues. They were caused by some server slowdowns, but should be cleared up now.
If this happens again, be sure to shoot our support team a ticket!

It’s not an android specific problem. Same on iOS here. I think they changed it, but can’t remember this being mentioned anywhere. I really don’t like it! Please change it back!!

Bought her three days before the notes and she helped against stacked golden buffs teams but was not a game changer like when primordials arrived.
She's now a popcorn machine gun and i feel so dumb to have spent my FC on her! :(

I have the warrior newborn equipped with Valor and as R1ck wrote in his answer, they work when it’s my turn but not when my newborn revenges. And I have to investigate how the thorn talis work on him. I’m not sure if they only trigger when it’s my turn and not on revenges. I’ll try this and I’ll try valor with the assassin newborn and keep you informed.

Edit: it’s the same with assassin newborn and valor. They don’t work on revenge.

Sentinel Golden Son does not use his power ability when in auto. It would be awesome if this gets fixed.

Oh, one other thing, if I may. Regarding Clansman Eddie Fury ability. Considering that it grants an extra turn to all allies, it would be nice if he only used it after the allies turns. If he uses it right away, it is a waste of 3 extra turns, am I right?

Hey Devs, what's the deal with Rare souls at LoL? Since last event I made probably around 600 runs and not a single Rare soul showed up. Have you guys removed it from the rewards? It's still on the reward list though.

I have a feeling that, in addition to the excuse they gave of focusing on The Gauntlet Beta, the other reason we haven't seen the tuning notes yet is because it would probably reveal the last 2 gods in the Gods Of Powerslave event. I think they want those two characters to be a surprise.

Hi DanielRacy. Rare Souls are not a common drop, but they are definitely still available from the Lord of Light Dungeons.

Just FYI the last LOL grind event produced 0 (zero) rare souls here in over 400 run. That was unlike ALL previous LOL grind events.

You answered your own question. People have asked about a defensive bonus and the devs have said there isn't one. How many times do you want them to say it before you take that as their answer?
The bigger question, is why would it matter? As long as all the defenses got the same bonus who cares. It could be helping your defense holds. The AI for the defense isn't that great, so it could use a boost.

You must be joking! Someone counted the extra turns from Magus Lilith recently for defense and attack and the result was very clear. Or take a look at how often the General steals buffs and energy on defense vs. on your attack team... Same for the proportion of perfect attacks and the frequency of triggering Talis effects.
I also follow the thought that it is reasonable to a certain extent, as the "AI" does not behave very cleverly in most situations. But still everybody can notice that difference. I don't need the devs to confirm what I see every day :)

Exactly my experiences, Blade. Blue Lilith has six extra turns in the first round. My green Lilith needs three or four turns to give perfect corruption to the blue Lilith. Teams with two or three health relics behave like they have 250% health. And when I read the name of the teams, i know before that I’ll lose the first try. Second round is easy as nothing and I use the same attack team again. And i could go on with examples. BTW, i cleared the 20.000 arena fight today, in case you’re wondering how often I play arena.

Wow, grats on that one! My counter says 11.79 K... thats about 8k more fights, times 12 IC = 96k Iron Coins more in your bank... that's heavy!
I was not very keen on PvP in the beginning, as I did not have the right toons and there still was a lot to do for me to clear the missions and BNW. But recently, PvP became the only real challenging playing mode and I got almost all (non-event) chars. So I can compete to a certain level and normally reach top 100, sometimes top 50 if I have time to play Saturday evening (or better saturday night, as the reset is at 2 o'clock at night...).
As long as the def bonus is there, we can try to adapt and overcome. For instance, it is not needed to give your def team the accuracy Talisman or something that helps to get perfect hits :D
