Guardian Talisman Fierce bug

I have a Guardian Talisman (Fierce) bug I have tried to upgrade and evolve several times in the last 14 hours and every time when I go to exit the character screen I get a server error saying changes were not saved. I've tried on wi-fi and 4G connections at different locations with the same result. I can do other things like evolve and upgrade characters and green talismans fine (although if I do it the same time as the Guardian one the changes are lost - I have to do them separately).

I have other Guardian Talisman (Fierce) I have upgraded and evolved in the past with no problem.

Level them up. Exit to main screen, come back and rank them, leave to the main screen.... rinse and repeat. It's been reported many many times.
