I have found if I win the toss and kill an opponent on the first round with her passive disabled with my Prisoner, she can revive someone later in the battle if her passive is not disabled. This has happened several times, I believe it has happened if I go second.

Yes, this happens. Also seen this with other passive effects, e.g. immunity from the dogs or the shields from warrior troll or green valkyrie. Prisoner blocks all passives in the first round (if you don't have immunity talisman) and afterwards only for 1 enemy/round. It is a bit strange, I am not sure if I like it or not :) One could add "in the first round without block passives" into the passive skill descriptions...

I didn't realize the other passive characters behaved the same way. I was pointing out that if an opponent is killed the passive of AoM should be forfeited, as it tried to revive but couldn't. I found that usually if the opponent was killed with permadeath or doom they stay dead later, I stress usually.
I guess that it was disabled so the passive didn't count as trying to be used.i dont know if it's a bug or just a descriptive anomaly as Blade pointed out.

Here is a question, if you kill AoM first and is revive by another ally does her passive revive return?
AoM has always not really adhered to the "first dead is revived" thing. If it's passive is disabled or it's killed and revived (an no other toon has died on that side) then it revives the next to die either after it's revived or after it's passive is no longer disabled (assuming no permadeath).
Basically it has always looked to me that there is 1 trigger... that trigger remains active until it's used, he's dead, or permadeath prevents it from working.
If you kill it, then kill another toon, then revive AoM (or everyone dead)... it won't revive the next to die since 2 team members have died.

Thanks for clarifying the definition of the effects of disable passive.
The disable passive trigger may account for why some things dont always seem to follow the rules.
