Alexander... is he Great?

Hello guys!

I've small question for you!
Im collecting Frontier Coins and now I have 1400 of them.
I want to buy Alexander the Great but... is he worth that 2500FC?
Its a HUUUUDGE amount of FC, maybe use them elsewhere?
Maybe buy 2 liliths or sth?

I want to play PVP, is the Alexander a most powerfull character in game or sth?
2500FC - he should be awesome strong universe devastator! Is he even usefull to spend FC on him?

Please help me what to do with my 1400 FC?

i don't have him but if i have 2500FC i will better buy near 4 Lilith than him,he is good but not deserve that high price...

If your goal is to compete in PVP, I don't think that Alexander Eddie will help you there. I don't think he's one of the top Eddies for PVP, but I'm also not one of the top players. The players in the top 100 or so would better be able to answer that question.

Alexander Eddie is, however, very valuable for autofarming Number of the Beast (Madness). To the best of my knowledge, that mission is the best for farming 3-star colorless Evo Runes. As you build your team, and especially when you're building with the Gauntlet in mind, evolving and leveling up talismans is critical. Collecting enough 3-star colorless Evo Runes will be a major bottleneck since you need 9 of them per talisman.

In short, if you want to jump into PVP right now, it's better to spend the Frontier Coins on Liliths. If you want a tool that can very much help build your team for down the road, Alexander Eddie is a good choice.

I'm a fan of Alexander. He is good in the mid tiers of PVP and he is great for farming gold and 3* evolution shards in Number of the Beast mission.
Like most characters his strength really depends on who you team him up with.
Depending on your play style and patience level (and luck) it's good to remember that NF seems to run regular events that build up to trade in for random Liliths.
And also don't forget that NF indicated the Gods of Egypt will be available for an undisclosed amount of FC after the events are over. That might also be something worth saving up for.

I use him... and finish in or very near the top 25 in PvP weekly... Might finish higher if I refilled SOW more. But I don't really strive for the top of the list either.

Is he the "most powerful" -- No, not at all. I don't know that ANY Eddie could ever be called the "most powerful". He has a specific skill set like all Eddies. Some of those skills are more useful at times than other eddies. I.E. Iron Eddie's ability to throw a shit-ton of negative buffs on enemies is null and void with Alex Ed. As is Doomsday Ed's negative inflictions -- assuming Alex Ed's passive isn't disabled. And he easily removed the Invincibility the Destiny Talismans keep throwing up.

You can do well with Alex Ed in PvP.. but like all PvP now.. Relics and Talismans can matter more. If I lose a PvP match using Alex Ed it is 100% due to very specific characters with specific talismans on them. That's it. I can win against these, but not as easily and it is a coin toss at times due to the (hidden) AI boost. Any team without those characters and talisman combinations, I can beat though. Pretty much every time. But I also have a lot of Relics.

Alex Ed really shines via farming Number Of the Beast Madness. He never dies.. seriously, never. So if you want to farm for gold, then Alex Ed will help there since NotB is the highest gold payout of any level or dungeon.

Also realize that everything else in the Frontier Coin store can be had via fragments. They may take some time to get... but only Alex Ed is exclusively available via Frontier Coins. He won't drop from any Warrior/Legendary/Mythic/Event soul and there are no fragments to collect for him.

With my relics/set up. Yes. Without a problem autoplaying. It merely takes 2 to 3 times longer.

With a primordial ride along character granting Crit Strike or Ascension, he will often kill Assassin Beast with 1 hit. By himself it generally takes 2 or 3 hits (all autoplay).

The only thing I've purchased with FC was 1 Warrior Lilith (because she wouldn't drop for me and I kept getting dupes - of course she finally dropped shortly after the purchase), Alex Ed and skill shards.

My question was about powerslave vs NotB. If you are only farming gold NotB only gives 500 more gold per 5 SoT. Powerslave gives 20% more chances of earning SoT and ironite for equivelant SoT, if the drop rates are similar. With auto play, grinding isn't as much an issue as manual play.

If you need 3* shards or runes for upgrades than NotB is the way to go. That would be great to have 2 weak toons leveling up as a bonus. I dont know if purchasing Alex is worth it compared to purchading multiple toon characters, just to beat NotB.

Powerslave may be more economically by using a strong Eddie and two weak toons that can be leveled up without using gold to level toons.

Just being able to beat NotB on auto doesnt mean that is the best strategy. You can still earn shards and runes in LoL and BNW, you still may want to play BNW to earn desired talisman.

The question comes down to your goals and what level of play you are at in the game. Always remember once the new best thing comes along, there will always be a better one coming soon.

Yeah it's only partly about gold. The other drops form NotB are better for leveling up high-end talismans. The 2 star Evo stuff drops form skull quests and minor sacrifices.

Yup, my comments were not for the end gamers such as yourself. My comments were for newcomers or mid level players that haven't reached the point of unlimited resources.

I have reached the point that i have no problems with gold or upgradable materials ,excluding SS.i am limited on newer characters and a few Eddies. These are hard to come by without real life purchases or extremely lucky soul drops.

To be fair.. I got Asset to drop early so....... collected enough frags.. bought Sehkment with frags.. then she dropped... then had enough frags to purchase Horus... collected frags.. and barely had enough frags for Set (bought 20 souls). Not sure I'll have enough frags for the last one. Hopefully it drops. (Or that's what I'll use my FCs on).

I will spend 100-300 ironite on souls for these events, since I have it and it tends to build quick enough, especially with the 30 day ironite thing and Arena rewards -- and I'm still chasing Doomsday as well.

And I have no issue with Powerslave over NotB :) Farming either works.

I guess the question really was is it worth it to purchase Alex Eddie or not. If not is it worth purchasing liliths or save for gods or future oppurtunities. The answers are geared toward non endgamers.

I can autofarm NotB without Alexander. My team is:
Beast Eddie (eclipse talismans)
Magus Lilith (immunity+destiny)
Any other character (good to have Gunner cause Beast Eddie can launch fury more often) :)

So... thanks for advices, now I know that way better is to collect FC and use them on Powerslave event (I dont have any char from it yet).

Helly guys, sorry for opening the same discussion again...

I might have read somewhere that Alexander can help auto farm Garden of Dismay and the others at lvl x easily, anyone to confirm that ? That would be a good reason to have him, otherwise I will probably save the FC for something else.

It may be more useful to try and earn more IC in th he arena to purchase relics. It will be easy enough to auto farm without Alex. If you own everything in the store than Alex is nice to have in your collection.

I miss Seth and Osiris but I don't really care about the arena. Battles take too long and I don't have enough time for that and would rather spend my time on Gauntlet.
I am able to auto farm everything else but BnW lvl x. Osiris might be a better addition overall but it would save me a lot of time if Alexander could really beat the dungeons on auto.
