best times and what it is used for

Does anyone know what the best time you complete a level is used for? I once read something that it might be tied to some kind of reward but I am not sure. I've finished lord of light in 11 seconds and children of the dammed in 12. So far it keeps track of the best time but it eludes me as to the purpose.

Only purpose is to help build faster auto team. :D

There was a friendly competition in the forum on who could complete a level the fastest. Record your best effort and post. It was then that NF added that. Easier than adding new content. Anymore doesn't matter with all the high powered talismans and characters.
