30 ironite for 5 slots is a much better deal than 5 million. Going from 300 to 500 would cost 1,200 ironite in the end. If you think about it you're getting 200 new permanent slots so there's no way it would be cheap.

The ironite front the arena awards will give several slot purchases each week. That's 20 toons each week to save and upgrade. The gold saved from using ironite to purchase the slots can be used to evolve and upgrade the dupe toons.

..because evidently they want us to use more ironite, hence the great increase of gold needed to expand slots (even though it is too much)
