This is shaping up to be another rough sac event for me but that's mostly due to poor planning on my part. I'm still excited for the chance of some new characters so I'll just have to hope RNGsus (geddit???) is on my side.

80 event souls give 800 Bass Ed frags and to claim the guaranteed soul for him you need 750 frags ... check the frag book and if you really opened 80 souls you should have him.

I just got 3 epic souls. Didn't open them yet. Anyone else get these? Strange to get them now.

the 3 epic souls are from an event reward. I think it comes from doing a level 6 sacrifice. I opened mine but i was half asleep and i cant remember what i got. All in all it was a pretty damn good event for me. I had quite a lot of souls saved up and they netted me the following new toons: a prisoner, assassin CotD, all 4 banshees and the bass eddie of course, an alliance general, red troll, cannoneer, assassin shinobi, and enough frags to buy my KP. I still need to buy warlord talisman and the red banshee though...

Doh, I must've have missed seeing that in the event challenge page. Thanks for the heads up fred. You too Natasmai and congratulations on all the new characters. All the sacrificing became sort of a blur. This was a pretty good event, but I envision the February one (maybe involving hearts?) to be a better sac event.

This has been the best event for me in a long time. I have been hoarding souls to sacrifice forever and feel good about my character draws for the first time in a long time. Sacrifices have given me 204 event souls that I dropped in the well so far. Did not get Bass Eddie from the well which does not surprise me, but I'm really happy they made the ability to get him from 750 fragments or I probably would never get him.

3 Bass Eddie (2 from the frags) + all 4 Banshees + enough blood frags to buy the Radiant & Warlords talismans = not a bad event at all
& I still have dozens of common souls stacks to sac so maybe a 4 Bass Eddie on the Way (even if I will only keep 1)

Damn, that sucks... on the bright side you are probably one of the very few that has the killer lol (or will have him soon)
I am sitting at 310 killer fragments and unless the last night city event has a way to farm for killer fragments, I won’t be able to get him until he is put in the heroic soul rotation. Even then, the odds of getting him will be low.

On the other hand, all the night city mega events have a way to farm for blood fragments. So you should get enough for KP before the 3rd event ends. :)

I have to admit that even though this sacrifice event does not have the “recycling” ability of the last 2 events, I feel that the drop rates were higher and that the “goal” characters were readily attainable from other means. I know some people were not as lucky as others but reading the comments, I found that there were more postive than negative results for obtaining the new characters. There was also not a huge drain on other resources so those that struggle with evolving shards were not limited in how they could proceed with the sacrifices. I would like to see this trend continue.

Both types of sacrifice events have their pros and cons. In the current months sacrifice event if you didn't save alot of souls or frags you may have problems earning blood frags due to a lack essence fodder. While the recycling type of event may be limited by either gold or shards.

It is nice to have both types of events so not to exclude reward earnings due to a lack of a specific resource. Either type of reward system still requires a substantial amount of resources to earn the top prizes such as KP or high value talisman.

So still hopefully will be getting some lost shrieking souls, but otherwise, I've expended all my mats I can except for a stack of 23 rare souls (keeping for next rare soul event).

So got 1 Magus Banshee.

Also in one of the first souls dropped I got a 5* Magus...... Dupe 7th son :'( Was so hoping it'd be Bass Eddie when the eye went red!

Fingers crossed support comes through with the goods and then the RNG gods help me out a bit!

URock: You can also get the blood fragments by redeeming Shrieking souls. If you have some of those left, or purchase can them for ironite, or else can get some thru sacrificing other stuff, then you could probably get your 50 blood fragments that way. You get 5 fragments per souls, so you'd need 10 souls for 50 fragments.

A kind of weird event for me.

I finally get Bass Eddie with the frags. I opened a lot or rare souls, magus, sentinel, warrior rare souls and got only 4* and 3* dupes. No 5* at all. First time it happened.
Got 2 magus, 1 gunner and 1 sentinel banshees.

Keeping souls for the next sac event.

Probably be able to get Killer Prime during the 3rd round.

Well 5 banshees so far. 3 magus and 2 sentinel! Doh! Well I’ve got a small handful of souls to go and my fingers are sooooo crossed for an assassin!

On the plus side for this second event, I pulled beast Eddie (legendary) and Icarus (green soul), so pretty stoked! Also pulled an angel of strife, warrior Mayan priestess and ragna...

OK, so I've used up every single soul. All my shards are gone. I managed to do much better than I expected and found a way to get through 94 shrieking souls.

I've had 5 blue and green banshees, numerous 4* non-event chars and even the odd 5* from my shrieking souls.

I've been able to grab a heap of blood frags and 2 banshees, so I am reasonably happy.

But the 'must have' assassin banshee has as yet escaped me!

And so...

It comes down to my last 3 shrieking souls!

I think I am finally done with the sac event. Ended up with enough frags for over 2 Bass Eddies and got a 3rd from a legendary. Event souls gave me 5 Assassin, 4 Sentinel and 2 Magus Banshees but no gunner unfortunately. I've bought the Warrior Banshee and Warlord Talismans and I will have enough blood frags (once I get the next lot of 25 from the arena event) left over to purchase the Officer, Radiant and Venom talismans if I wish but might hold off for now?...Radiant interest me the most but not sure about Venom. What are people's thoughts for those who have bought them?

The gunner and sentinel shinobis and assassin derby demon still elude me but after 90 heroic souls I got Redan so overall its been a pretty good event I think :)

Now I have about 100 blood fragments and 360 killer fragments. Can someone help me decide if I should keep buying night souls with blood fragments or hold on to what I have? I am worried that I might get close to 700 killer fragments before the event ends. Which means after spending all those blood fragments I will end up with 5 precious souls...

To be honest, I'm surprised that Night Souls are still purchasable with Blood Fragments. I believe Kaz said awhile back that when Part 2 of the mega-event began, the Night Souls for Blood Frags would switch to be the Part 2 featured soul (Shrieking Soul). But, that apparently didn't happen.

Update #2: I have re-read this post and those leading up to it several times, and now it's unclear to me if the Night Souls for Blood Frags was going to rotate as well. Maybe we can get clarification from the devs. If it isn't going to rotate, you might have time to get The Killer, which I would definitely do. I might hold on to those precious blood fragments until the 3rd event in case they add more items to the store.

Hmm, probably too late for me now. I need about 360 more of the killer fragments and seems like a maximum of 28 days (280 fragments) any information on whether we can get more blood souls? It would be nice even if they make them available for ironite, which will give me a chance to buy missing fragments.

You see according to the News feed we still have Part 3 to come...

I'm thinking Winter ends at the end of February, if this is correct not only do we have Night City Part 3 but we also have 4 x February events to do as well as what's left of the current 2 x events all in the space of 12 days.... is this even possible?

Was it not al due to end some time in March this year? Think I remember that as a time when we would get to the end of the mega event. There is one more new character to get and a big one I guess from Night City so it will be the main thing to go for (liek Killer Prime was). I have about 1200 blood frags waiting to see what we get next - there will be an even tto get more I am sure of that. Likely to be March events which we should hear about in the next week or so.

Hello guys at LotB!! Just wanted to ask you something. I read in Leviathan's post concerning the last event part, that the blood soul fragments will not be able to be converted to event souls after the 9th of March. That means that with the 1 soul restriction per day, me and many others who grinded countless days to collect blood soul fragments will lose their chance to spend those fragments to get some specific character fragments. I find that extremely unfair. Please tell the team to consider to at least lift the restriction of 1 soul purchase per day through blood soul frags.

You will get 5*40 frags=200 frags (1 soul/day) That means with the restriction of 1 soul/day and until 9th March when the event frags stop being in the store, we who have those extra frags and a chance to redeem them to earn the new character through this process, are having now no chance to do that. Ask the team to reconsider the restriction of 1 soul/day or to extent the blood soul frags conversion to event souls. This is so unjust...

Am I right that the only way to get blood frags in this event is through the event up to 200, and after that buying souls for ironite is the only way to get them? If so, this feels like a pretty poor way to finish off the event really. Theres no way to really grab a heap of blood frags outside of spending $$$. Shame really.

Fwiw, I got KP and will probably get the red banshee, but would have liked to have the chance to go for the officer and a set of warlords....

I got mine mostly in the bass eddie one. I was hoping to get the assassin banshee but she evaded me. At least it led to me getting KP. My team really wasnt ready for the 1st event, so didnt really get that many. Also for the bass eddie sac event, you really needed to have had a heap of stock to get rid of at that time....

I have now 22 or so Frags left, without the 2x 50 of the Arena Event..,

Whatever.., this Game is just passing by for me now. ^^

I don't think what this game is now will not change anymore in the future, so as some said in another thread some time ago, to make peace with it, is more easy.

And like other Characters, they should be available somewhere in Future for overpriced Frontier Coins or so. :D

Not sure why the march 9th cut off date for spending blood fragments wasn’t posted until now. Blood fragments have been the toughest and most important currency to acquire during the Night City Mega Event. So it would have been nice to know ahead of time when that currency is gonna go useless.... I mean the post said the event will run all winter long (which is also unclear) but had nothing about a cut off date for spending blood fragments until now.

Had I known, I would have been able to plan accordingly. Now I will be left with 700/750 killer fragments on March 9th.
I don’t even know why I wasted my time typing all this as NF don’t give a s***.

I definitely can agree. I'm not even in the top 500 yet and already these teams of banshee, blocker, ferryman etc are really annoying me. I'm considering putting up an all Killer defense with killer Eddie, the killer, killer prime and killer beast just to see how my defenses would react.

Yeah, I kinda get that, but this is the last chance for anyone to get blood shards. By playing the tough defense when your are below 2100k, thats just being a dick and blocking a heap of low/mid level players from perhaps being able to get KP or warlords or anything else. You can easily make it up in the last days if need be. If you're in the top 500, different story, I get that.

Wipp has the most aggravating defensive team in my opinion, though. Three madams and a ffe.

Same here, I'm around 50 as well and have run a lone Eddie this event. Actually, I haven't changed my defense since the last arena event. Agreed, it's helpful to have a nice supply of sow from the dungeon events. I have noticed more weak defenses this event as opposed to previous arena events. So thanks guys!

In my opinion this is a very bad final event for the winter mega event!
14 event souls (that give 70 blood frags) and 100 blood frags is really low. Compare this to the final event of the Powerslave Gods! There we were able to get all gods that we missed out before with some clever resource management. This time the final event is a pay-to-win event tempting those that have missed out the good rewards from blood frags to buy event souls, as this has the "excuse" that you have the chance to get the Killer Beast or you buy 61 (75-14) souls for the guarantee (in fact it is a bit less as we get some blood frags back for opening the souls).
I am glad that I went the "safe route" and used the 2 sacrifice events that gave blood frags intensively enough (>21 vortexes in the first sac event), so that I could get all characters early, and enough event frags for The Killer, and at least one set of all available Talisman sets (and some more Warlords) after the second sac event. My first 9 event souls in the recent event gave blue eyes, think I will miss out the KB.
I am sorry for those that hoped for a good final event like the one mentioned from the Powerslave gods!
Of course, an arena event is completely different compared to a sacrifice event... but an option would have been to guarantee blood frags (maybe 1, 5 or 10) for every arena fight, I think we had something similar with character frags long ago. None of us knew the optimal accumulation and spending strategy. That is because they purposely kept us in the dark on how many opportunities to earn blood fragments in what quantities would exist. They also didn't put up an expiration date for the items in the store. My best guess is they were hoping for miscalculations on our side so we would spend money to obtain missing blood fragments. That is probably the reason why this blood frag event is tied to event souls.

You can still buy Night Soul frags for 1 soul per day. When you open the soul you get the Killer (1% chance...haha) and 10 Killer frags.

Echoing the previous sentiments here - very disappointing end to this event. TBH the previous sac event should have been the final event, or at the very least some kind of mission grinding.

I had enough ironite and sac fodder ready to go to get any character, but with an arena event and a limit on soul/fragment generation there just isnt a chance without *far* too much ironite (~4700).

Doubly disappointing is the arena event ran simultaneously with the gauntlet event - I burned through all my extra SOW chasing SSS (though the rewards were bugged; gg).

I was also hoping for an end much like the powerslave event - all souls open, multiple ways to get value out of it, etc.

I managed to get the killer due to a game glitch (no reset on soul purchases) that did not have the courtesy to reappear here, so FML I guess.

Gonna add my 2 cents and say I am very disappointed as well. I figured we'd get a pretty unique event for the final NC mega event. Not a typical arena event. This is just the same crap we get every month. Maybe the boss run will be a little better. I actually thought the boss run would be the final event since I can't remember having one before (though I have quit this game twice since it's initial release, so maybe we have had one before when I wasn't playing).

Anyway, I'm not surprised this is what we got, but still disappointed. Devs could have done better - have done better.

Shaolin is right about how much NF has opened up the flow of resources in general. Getting ANY 5 star and then the shards to max it out was way harder back when I started. There still needs to be a reason to continue, an elusive overpowered character or talisman that drains all resources to get before everyone else has one. Sometimes money is involved, so what. The bugs have slowed down considerably and new content has been generated. Money well spent. Echoing what Druid said in his note to Slauki, the game is at its best right now.

Well sure, I agree that the flood gates for resources have been opened and it's much easier these days than when the game first released. I've been playing since day one so I know the pain. I started a new account on another device just for fun and see what drops I could get and I'm getting 5 star eddies and toons before beating the Underworld. in the beginning I had the underworld beat and still sitting on only 4 star toons. It was tough.

As stated before, my beef - and I imagine others as well - is with the lack luster event. Not the rewards specifically. I know there are those that complain about the rewards, but most of us just wanted a unique event. Not a regular arena event, that's all.

Yes, the game is pay to be the best. That is what a game does to be profitable. The game can be quite enjoyable without spending money, you just wont be in the top ten each week. If you want to be in the top in arena and gauntlet you will need to buy SoW, directly with ironite or through events. That's just to compete, that doesnt inclued the new toons.

As previously stated the arena has become quite difficult. Everyone is easily acquiring some OP toon/talisman. When everyone receives them people complain how difficult it is to play. I dont hear to many complaints about the OP toon they receive saying it's just unfair to everyone else to attack your team.

I didn't start playing until the game was 1 year old. Most of the newer players cant understand how hard it was just to beat BNW without all the new OP toon/talisman.

@Muzzleloader I started a little over a year ago as well and sadly only recently got wickerman Eddie. If finished underworld when I finally got Grim Reaper. I remember getting Aces High and thinking I was so powerful lol. I look at these Eddie's and find them weak now, but still love them because they got me through to where I am. I seldom try to get above the top 100 and still don't really desire it. I enjoy the game, but really wish instead of a new toon or Eddie, we could get more worlds to play. I remember really looking forward to completing a madness level so I could go onto the next world. It really made me want to play. Unlike the grinding we're at now. The arena and gauntlet both feel very repetitive. It's like do I want white or black lol. If really love to see new worlds open on a more regular basis. I guess I'm getting burned out..,

Hit the nail on the head, HuckFinn. I'd rather have more content in terms of worlds/dungeons than grinding events. The events are cool enough, but get stale real quick. Let's hope tings will spice up again once they introduce clans and Silent Planet. Avalon...wont be available until 2021 or 2022 if Night City is any indication.

I am looking forward to the harder difficulties in the current worlds, too. I expect them to be NC level in difficulty or worse, haha. And then we will all complain about how hard Ailing Kingdom is.

Honestly, that's not too bad. If you didn't already have the assassin banshee, she's exclusive to the soul you pulled her from (red or shrieking I think). Saves you from having to use heroic souls to get her later on whenever she pops up in the rotation.

It’s not bad at all. You pulled 2 event specific toons out of 40 souls. Just unlucky that they are not the ones you are chasing.
I opened about 80-90 souls between this event and the last event and I did not get a single event specific toon. Not even1.

Finished my 200 fights. I had a good feeling about this event being pretty easy to get by compared to the last few arena event where 300 and even 500 were the goals. Course I didn't get KB from any of the free souls I had to pool my way up to 75 and I went from over 6000 ironite to a mere 300.

Remember Radiant is the Gauntlet set at the end of the week as well (if you're ranked high enough). That might alter your purchase plans.

I am just doing the event goals to 200 I think and I'll be done with trying to get KB. Just starting to lose a bit of interest in the spend chase. If they were being reasonable they would have had him as guarantee win for a set challenge but they need folks to spend and just cant be bothered anymore. I think this is me starting to doubt my tolerance for the way the game is going. I just dont get much from it anymore - arena I have had to play a lot to get to 200 - way more than I normally do and for what? Facing the same team or a combination of maybe six or seven different characters - once you get close to top 100 it is even worse. You get maybe a few lone Eddies and the rest are folk thinking they can sit in the top 50 or 100 or what have you.

I guess we all have days like this where we wonder 'why'? Pretty sure we all need something different in this game - events are fine most of the time but arena stuff is just the pits in most cases - repetitive and boring. Even the great Night City lasted a week if I was lucky and never been back since (well new event aside) because why would you farm it - no real gains on anything new or even more gold. Just stick to NotB level or doing LOL or BNW auto to get the resorces I need or want.

My event-tab tells me I have won 212 Arena battles, however, my arena-tab is telling me I have won 223 Arena battles. Is anybody facing the same problem? OK, I finished my stretch goal achievements for this, so i will let people know whats up. hopefully they dont try to fix it, but either way people should know about it before the end of the event.

If you lose an arena fight it still counts towards a "win" for these achievements. It is pretty much exactly what i suggested after the last arena event. The total should (and currently is) just be based on number of arena games played, win or lose. Not everyone out there has a team they can just win with. Many newer players may only win a handful of matches before they are just blown out. I know i played for quite a while before i even bothered checking out arena or gauntlet. This current setup is perfect, IMO.

I am guessing this is working as intended and they just didnt update the text for the achievements, but if it is a bug.... Devs, let it alone! This is how it should be moving forward. Even with this set up, most of my games were wins and it still took me days to complete the stretch achievements.

interesting to know, I bought a night soul yesterday, after the daily reset, there, she blocked. But today, an hour ago she was released, and then I went to buy the frags to see whats happen, I had the impression that I had already passed the 5 daily purchases, that's how I noticed.
With that I managed to buy as much of the fragments for the souls that I needed.

This morning I got one more message, stating the restriction was lifted and we can summon as many souls as we like, if we have the available blood frags of course. I have to throw my words of appreciation on this. The team do hear the player base, and I personally thank them for that. Indeed. I now have KB due to this change and very pleased I am too. I only had to buy a three pack with ironite to make up the difference so this has been a fantastic move and one which I had hoped we would get from the outset but did not until reset last night. I was lucky and still had a pile to use but just yesterday I had started the use of the blood soul frags to get rid of them - lucky for me I only started yesterday as that left a lot for KB today!

I noticed, but guessed wrong early on that the last event would be another sac one so I held on to resources and now came up short. I also picked up the banshee instead of kb prior to the change.

Its a good change (one that was needed tbh), but unfortunately doesn't seal the deal for me. I need about another 10 souls to pull out kb.

Same story like with the Ferryman and IM Eddie- 75 Souls opened and no KB!!!
Wish they would lift the shards limit a few hours earlier, before i bought a warlord set...could have saved me 50CHF...
Oh well! at least there is the option to buy the event chars through fragments now. maybe the ridiculous target of 75 could be lowered to say 20?!

I don’t even think so. i’m just an obsessive collector. i have always collected things with great passion, be it toy cars, cards, items in mmorpgs or stupid useless characters. the “now or never” psychology works very well on me :(

But i think that KB is the runner up in this mega event (along with Steve :P) and is not worth any excessive effort...

He's pretty good. The only subpar thing about him is his fury. Even then it still does pretty high damage, the effects are just useless.

50 event souls purchased and the rest from PvP/blood frags-but I HAD to have him. And I'm gonna buy the Beast when I get a few more FC because...well that's what I do!

So i’ve tried KB (my trooper has a weak talisman setup for PvM) and i have to agree that he is not that bad.

Just like Amarthir mentioned, he has good damage,skill removing and burns, but his drawback is really the fury. There are too many Eddies with good furies. why would i waste fury on an attack which deals same damage like a basic attack and has weaker side effects?
He would be much better of with some crippling passive instead.

Honestly, I’m tapping out. I’m at 600 KB frags, and I refuse to buy more souls. I’ll just have to wait until the next time he shows himself. It’s too much to spend on a character I may not use

Just bought him and is my champ for a couple of days.
Only spent 1900 ironite to get him, fortunately had some extra blood fragments. Killers collection is complete and bought The beast, less characters missing.

I don’t understand why some here are so upset about not getting KB. Honestly I found it very VERY VERY easy to get him. I started with about 100 KB fragments and about 400 blood fragments. Only investing blood fragments in red shard fragments and getting blood fragments in return gave me KB and I still have about 100 blood fragments left. In addition one red shard soil gave me The Killer, I was missing too. So the hardest part was swiping hundreds of times all the way back to the red shard fragments :p :cool:

🤔 your calculation seems to be correct (number of souls x 5 : 3 x 40 : 200 = number of souls x 5 : 3 ... aso). So it must be that i don’t remember my amount of KB frags correctly. Was pretty sure, but can not be. Sorry for that! (Or sth. bugged again 😛 )

So I broke my own rules and bought event souls, knowing that 11 would be enough. He was not in all these souls but I was able to claim him from the frags. I really feel stupid now after sitting there forever and swiping to get to the red shards in the shop. It would be so much better if the shop could just stay in the same position were you bought your item...but probably the shop needs to reset after each purchase. Too bad!

I had to buy three souls but that was fine and not bothered as had a large pile of blood souls leftover. Also got Killer and a chopper I was missing so bery happy with that - may even spend my FC and get the Beast.

OMG so true! That happens in a few places, like upgrading chars, where it go backs to the start and then you get sore fingers swiping right!

I have had 5 red eyes in the Book of Souls yet only one 5 star came out of Red shard souls which was Bass Eddie. I got a lot of the Banshees though so that was a plus.
