Guild Speculation

In the state of the union they mentioned that guilds should be coming. Do you think guilds will be limited to your troopers, or do you think that guilds will consist of more members? What advantages do you think may be available as a guild member?

My first thought was about a new game mode, with battles between players of different guilds.
