Heroic rotation?

Thought the point of heroic souls was to give us a chance at exclusive characters that can’t be found in other souls? Looking at the next 6 weeks of rotation looks like run of the mill doodoo found in everyday souls.
I didn’t think heroic souls could be any worse, but it appears I was wrong. Maybe we should just convert heroic frags into precious frags for better rewards from now on.

While what you say is true this is a video game not an IRA. Saving is not fun, it’s prudent so I’m not really into that when trying to have fun in my leisure time.

So let’s get the good characters back in there so I can blow through the souls as fast as I get them and enjoy perpetual disappointment as 3 star dupes keep popping out.

Esquatcho, not all of us are addicted to the slot machine in this game. Instant gratification is not always what it seems, sometimes the payoff is better taking the slow approach. You may never know what is behind door number 2.

I have gotten quite a few new character from these rotations. Just today I completed my Cyborg Eddie from fragments. On 3/4 I hope to get both 5 stars available as i don't have either of them. So I would say the heroic souls are doing exactly what they are intended for.

But... So nice for you that you have every possible character and have completed the game. It must be lovely being you!

As for heroics - they're terrible anyway. I opened like 95 at once when Redan was included and got only shit dupes, so what's the difference? From now on I treat them just like rare souls.

There's a chance. it's just an extremely low chance. The Legendary and Mythical Heroic souls however put more of that chance in your hands. I'm hoping the current rotations keep up for a while, as I missed out on both The Count and Redan in each pass so far. *sigh*

Sorry if I offended u - but there are plenty of easy to get souls out there that grant an available pool of characters (which includes every character in the current rotations) for players new and old. Then there are a handful of “exclusive” characters that cannot be found in any soul. Only way to get those is when they happen to become available through heroics. So when heroics have no exclusive characters what fun is that? Oh wow I got an allied general from a heroic soul. Big deal I pulled my 11th one last week from a standard rare soul. So - as many have suggested here we are going to sit on these things until summer or whatever and then cash in 300 of them all at once. I’m just not a fan of that - gaming should be fun - instant gratification, a release - the other more serious parts of life are for saving, delayed gratification, and patience.

Even my son , who is a new player and has very few good toons was unimpressed with the current rotations. Why does a new player even want a dated allied general, pyro soldier, or child of the damned with skills that are nearly useless in the current meta? They would rather have the count, a purple banshee, blue shinobi, mushahsi, red derby girl, etc. just the same as us end game players would rather have here in our tiny world.

It really is RNG, I did well with the heroic souls. Then I dropped 99 G/A souls and all 3* dropped, it happens.

Last night I used 45 colored rare souls and pull 2 5* and 2 4*. If you go by odds I shouldn't get another 5* in another 150 souls.

I got rainmaker 4 months ago when I barely started playing this game. He jumped out from the first 5-10 heroic souls I ever opened. Beginners luck I guess. I didn’t even know how heroic souls worked back then!
I have opened idk, more than 100 rare heroic souls and 7 legendary heroic souls since then and haven’t gotten a single 5*

So I am not against heroic souls. But I do agree with the OP about the character pool in the heroic soul rotations. I think that they should include at least one exclusive character in every heroic rotation. Especially with the addition of legendary and mythical heroic souls.

While the chances for 4 and 5 stars are supposedly a tad higher than with rare souls, I swear they're actually lower. I've got loads upon loads upon LOADS of those damn sentinel Choppers and not much else from Heroics. The chances of getting anything good from them seem up the ass by this point.

And concerning the future rotations, while they do admittedly suck, they at least give plenty of time for obtaining more heroics so the chances of obtaining actually good toons once they appear are slightly higher. Or I'll just pull tens of Wickerdogs/Choppers/3 star Eds, plus a 4 star Pyro...

Does anyone have a good strategy for trying to score a particular 4* from heroics? I have about 10 legendaries at the moment and about 170 rares and want to get the Magus Derby Demon. The previous 8 legendaries I opened awhile back gave me all 4* characters but out of the 3 available, I only got 2 of the 3 characters available 4 times over (4 DDEs and 4 of something else). So makes me think I have about a 66% chance to get her using legendaries. So good but far from a certainty. I don't want to burn too many rares either as it would be easy to make a lot of those disappear.

I am thinking of using up to 3 or 4 legendaries first to see if I am lucky and then dropping some rares (max 50?) after that if I am not. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?

I had the same goal and put in my first heroic legendary soul and walla! Out jumped Magis Derby Demon!
You'll just have to try... the other thing I thought of trying was throwing a crap load of regular heroic souls in, at least that way you'll get frags towards another heroic legendary soul

My tactic is to open regular heroic souls until you are really bored. Then sac all 3* char you got and start open heroic legendarys. :) Usually works.

i needed the magus demon also, I opened 3 legendarys, Valkyrie, Valkyrie, Derby demon, done. I would try legendaries first.

I seem to get no luck on events and luck on heroics. I too needed Magus DD and got her with 10 regular heroics. I needed Musashi the last time and got him with 5 Legendary (one by one) I think it was.


Saying that all I have got of the recent slew of new characters is Gunner Anumbis which I farmed for - not got any of the rest from that batch of gof related ones or from the current batch and still no Iron Maiden Eddie NotB Eddie or the new one. It will all come at some point I suppose and I just need to live with very little event souls luck. Still not willing to spend much, if anything, and never buy soul packs so I guess this is to be expected!

Is the magus DD any good outside of a collector item? Noting last gauntlet was magus too, so probably not a while before heaps of blues are as useful....

Pumped in 32 normal heroics and finally got mahus derby demon. Woot! The 750k gold hurt the most tbh. Really needs to be dropped. Along the way I also got warrior valk and assassin ninja dupes, so cant complain really.

Not just gotta hope assassin banshee comes as easily next round!

Magus derby demon will serve you well. With the right talisman on her she's a multi target hitter that can heal. I've got the talisman on mine that revives a character that is killed once, making her a poor man's clairvoyant.

I was lucky enough to get the Magus derby demon on my first legendary soul. I could chase the G. Shinobi in the next rotation but seeing how there is a tiny chance to get her through gunner class souls I should probably put it off until something exclusive returns to the rotation, like The Killer.

I've done OK with Heroic Souls. I pumped 80 heroic souls (and 4 legendary heroics) into this round in hopes of getting the Prisoner. I feel like he is one of the more essential characters of the game (and needed to compete against some of the beasts in the game like Prime). No luck. But I did get the Blue Derby Demon, to complete my collection!:D
I feel like there is no replacement for the Prisoner.

To be honest, I used the prisoner all the time when I first got him, but now I dont find him quite as useful. His passive is huge 1st round, but after that round, its not actually that awesome compared to some of the other, newer characters.

But yeah, at least you can get him outside of heroics. He will drop eventually in a sacathon for you Im sure.

Prisoner is pretty much "broken" good as an arena defense. I use him plus KP and I would bet there isnt often a second round. I get a lot more defense wins since i added him.

I couldnt get him for months, then as soon as I did, I must have sacrificed about a dozen extra prisoners since then. RNG is so dumb

Again the next 3 rotations are total crap! No character that can not be obtained by a normal soul (ok, maybe 1, didn’t check all, but pretty sure it’s no more, so again NOTHING HEROIC ABOUT THAT!!!).

Let’s see, we have green pope and blue Minotaur... really??? Did you mix sth up here Devs? Both available in stinky normal souls. Blue pope and green Minotaur have been event exclusive (so exactly the other way around). THEY SHOULD BE IN HEROIC SOULS!! Not this other crap. Would be nice if you change that Devs and rethink your decisions of putting characters available in almost every soul into heroic ones in general. Otherwise the word „heroic“ will soon get the same debasement as „legendary“ or „legacy“ :p Thank you!

He is in rare gunner, g/a + legendary gunner.

Edit: just saw he is also in Mythical, so he has to be in Gunn.Mythical (have no frags atm to check, but has to be, when he is in mythical).

I got the dude from a bog-standard mythical soul and religiously used it until Assassin Werewolf came along and decided it didn't need golden effects to land 30k+ and rendered little old Gunner Minotaur obsolete
