Help with purge boss mission

[Meat Pocket]

It says "remove beneficial effects on the wickerman". I've tried with several different characters that remove effects and the mission still isn't completing. Is it bugged? Am I supposed to do something different?

I’m finding that all of the Remove Beneficial Effect missions are not working. Have tried toons with Basic Ability, Power ability, and talis. No luck on any of them.
