Alchemist Frags - Vortex Fills?

So currently when you fill a vortex, you get Alchemist frags. I already have alchemist and im close to another one. My question is how long will this reward alchemists before it switches to a new character? How often does that change?

I've been playing 1 1/2 years and it's always been alchemist frags for vortex fills. I dont see them changing anytime soon. Especially since he is popular and a strong ally.

oh i see. ok so just sacrifice fodder, or use for extras in lower gauntlet rounds. the guy is way overpowered in my opinion.
