How much are The Angel and The Gambler Eddie worth?

I always enjoyed when new Eddie was added to game, and I am always hyped. Every single time I am hoping that I will be able to get him, but it never happens.
Now there is an opportunity to get them by the FC but... they are almost twice more expensive then AE. Are they worth it?
I see that they have a good immunity remover ability, and other skills are pretty good. But I heard o lot of good things about AE and I wanted to buy him, and now I am confused are they better or it is just a stupid price?
Are they worth anything?

I just played 180+ battles since last night when the Arena event began , I ran into the New Eddies quite a few times. The Gambler kicked my butt the 1st time, he seems decent. He is sometimes challenging, but the Angel Ed was pretty easy to beat.
I would definitely go for the new Gambler. I know you can use Labrynth talis. I definitely saw the new Banner talis, they kept healing him up real good. I saw a team that has both new Eds. Gambler has 2 purple, 1 yellow, 3 open slots, Angel has 2 yellow, 1 green, etc. :)

They say Alexander is good for pve, and I've been playing around with using him in arena and doing pretty well. I feel he would be a better purchase than one of the new angel or gambler eddies. They have nice skills but seem to be niche characters.

Someone put forward the argument, that if you buy both from the FC store, one with frags for 2.5k, and the missing one for 4.5k you pay 3.5k on average. Therefore they are priced the same as the newer toons. However, I don't believe FC cost scales with power. Just compare KP and ferryman. Same price for both, one is meta, the other isn't. I'd recommend you either save up for KP or get xander now.

Yeah... I don’t have enough to buy AE, I was considering buying frags, and I was hoping that the new Eddies are both as good or better then AE, but if you say that I should save for KP or AE then who am I to argue?

Putting a hi price on something doesn't make it valuable. The initial hype and FOMO wore off and bottom line is I shred both of these clowns with Number of the Beast Ed. He is actually worth investing to get. Don't think these two furyless Eddies are worth the ridiculous cost.

unfortunately you cant invest in getting NotB eddie... because he was a paywall toon.

Correction, he's a heroic soul exclusive. Which means you have to wait till he comes out before you try to get him.

Well, yes, NOTB Ed w/Labrynth is pretty good (his fury rocks), but the #1 & #2 spots in the Arena as I speak, both use Gambler.
NOTB isn't available now, he was event exclusive. Maybe heroic souls or Frontier store will have him in the future. I personally don't have either, yet.
If one doesn't have KP, most definitely get him 1st.

Hehe! That’s funny! i tried it myself and it does work indeed! It needs a bit of tweaks and synergies, but you can really one hit the KP in 1 second... :D

Jasidor. KP has 3 open, 2 green and 1 purple slot. His passive e removes 2 benefit effects, curses and permadeath each round. His normal move hits 3 types of damage, inflicts bloodlust and may give perfect hit to all allies. Power move removes buffs.

Hard hitter and hi health but his passive is the best feature by far, protect this with Immunity talismans against passive disablers. Warlords and Sustaining are popular for the other slots to give offensive buffs. If you don't have these yet try Trap and Advantage. Trap is great against KP because his passive steals everything and he gets stunned, unless he wears Immunity.

Alex Ed is only viable in upper PvP tiers now because of Viper Talismans. Without viper's he's an easy beat.

I've been switching my ATK team between NotB Ed and Gambler Ed. NotB Ed does WAY more damage when needed, but Gambler can be much more resilient, especially with Labyrinth talismans. So basically... if a team has Charlotte.. you can pretty much guarantee she's wearing Vipers.. so she CAN'T kill Gambler ed on her own. Worse case is a draw. But if GE can stun a few times, he'll win. And Alex ed with Vipers hasn't been a problem at all. Charlotte's a problem due to her "heal on action" ability.

My D% has risen by roughly 15% by using Gambler Ed rather than NotB Ed, primarily due to the proliferation of the overpowered Viper talismans.

If I had to choose where to spend FC today.. Killer Prime first, then Gambler, then Alex..

I don't have Angel Ed.. played a troopers a few times and he didn't seem nearly as good as Gambler Ed. And I haven't seen Angel Ed on a D team in the arena yet.

I always use sustain, Warlord and Inspiration on mine. Lots of people overlook them but they're hella good.

Here's a tip, combine Warlord Talismans with Present Talismans. Since present Talismans grant life steal, KP will heal himself and it can trigger and extra turn for himself with the attack buffs and wipe out the other team.

Example, fight starts, you go first,
Final Frontier Eddie has present Talismans, he attacks and grants everyone life steal,
KP hits the opponents, is healed 4 times (because life steal only heals from physical damage) and he gains some offensive buffs and triggers and extra turn and hits them a second time with the extra buffs and kills them all.

I've been lucky and have gotten 3-4 extra turns from this setup. Helped me beat plenty of teams and gotten me outta lots of sticky situations.

Yeah, I hear ya. But the main issue is NOTB isn't available at the current time. I'm just saying, live for today. Get a character to use now, instead of saving FC for someday in the unknown future.

Honestly I'm getting the best defense record I've ever had, and I'm using Virtual XI Ed. I thought he was junk, but they improved his stats and he works in many ways against all the madness with Labrynth & Viper talis being used in the top 50 ranks.
Stormseye had 2 sets of each..... talk about stressful.
BTW, yeah I used to cringe trying to go up against your NOTB, he handed my ass to me a few times. But , I gotta say, these new talis help over come. I just have to get him before his fury strikes.

I am not really good and I don’t play a lot(30 arena battles are many to me) and now I have to pay for it, I don’t have the inspiration, viper, and sustaining and as I know these was just in occasional events.

But thanks anyway, I will save for KP and keeps eyes open for these talismans.

Yes 2 Labyrinth, but I've also run a Witch with Void and Reliance, and Vampire and Dominance. I have 3 of them all fully sharded so only the talismans matter. On attack the other sets can work great (especially Vamp/Dom). Of course... it all depends upon the enemy. Viper's have changed quite a bit with their 100% counter (75% my ass!). Throw in 2 viper sets and an alchemy set and it can almost always mean a draw or loss. But with the AI boost, you're going to lose if the Ai decides you need to lose. I have all relics.. but still lose to teams with only half of the relics or less.

Disclosure.. I auto-play all battles because they just aren't worth my attention since they can be so lopsided when the Ai decides they need to be. There's no such thing as a "fair fight" any more. No one's mentioned how many toons now underhandedly decrease enemy stats and increase their own stats each action. I mean since when does M Lilith decrease MR across an entire team when she strikes 1 character??

Hm, now that you mention that, I have a magus Lilith with a set of Alchemy talismans, that I sometimes use. The talismans are supposed to reduce "a random stat" on all enemies, but I remember it seeming like reducing magic resistance happened more often than any other stat reduction. :confused:

I hear ya. Man, I have been experiencing so much stuff not working. The new Gambler's passive DOESN'T CHANGE immunity to negs, Virtual Ed... his fury doesnt work in the first 3 rounds , his special ability to put to sleep works 50/50. My Alchemy talis do not always remove negs.... stun still sticks on KP at times.
I've even seen a lone toon get cleansed after the toon with Alchemy was gone.
Also, what's up with working a toon to near death, then the final blow FULLY HEALS him...and it's not even the end of the round. I could go on, but.
I don't even submit tickets anymore. They have have bigger fish to fry.
I do like the comic talis though. Just need more evolve materials.5484

If the team had assassin Angel of Death, that is what his passive does. "If any toon would reach 1 HP full heal entire team" Something like that... I ran into that yesterday. Also I keep missing the toon with the Valentines Talismans. I kill the blocker on the team and BAM... it's back. That's on me not remembering what it does, but it somehow gets me every time lol...


Also, have you seen Gamblers passive actually transform negative effects into silvers yet? I dont have either of those toons yet, but ive played against them and Im always worried about that part of the passive but i dont think ive seen it actually happen yet.

You are so right. FFE was one of them.
Trying to stay in 2nd or 3rd is a nightmare when this sh!t happens. No, my Gambler has no affect on their immunity, in arena or cosmos. It makes it so much harder.
Plus, I just lost 4 x in a row hardcore, 3 different toons got critical even though I had radiant.
Raven Witch also revives toons w/ critical for 1 round even though I have radiant.
I noticed Charlotte heals 1x for herself and if she is alone, heals again for the random ally.
Man, I am so tired of hearing that shotgun.
Bugs, bugs and more bugs. We need to call pest control , there's a serious infestation in this game.

I have a level 5 Gambler with underpowered talisman he can take some good hits with good healing powers. He defeats other lone Eddie's on auto. He should be very useful in gauntlet.

Gambler is defo decent. I have been using him in arena as I mess about with my attack team and he is a good all rounder. Not sure on best set up yet but he is doing OK with venom on him. If you have him with some power generation in your team he can deal a lot of extra power moves as they all give extra truns to him. So buff up then hit - he can do two decent multi hits and strong single hit so he is adaptable to different team and he has a passive disable too which has helped against the ferryman/witch and blockers.

Many of us are in the same boat here! I was also lucky enough to get the Gambler. I did not open more rares for a second soul. This might have been different if I would have gotten the Angel version. Now I have no hurry to get him (although I'd have enough FC) and I'll probably wait to see what happens in the next weeks.

The boat is big enough for all players that have one of the two new Eddies :)
But I see your point... I think Gambler is really good, only a heal skill is missing - but it's all about tradeoffs, right? However, 4.5k FC is too much in my opinion.
And I am also waiting for the NotB! Something to look forward to!

Man, I posted when I was without sleep due to all the Arena battles this week, I think I imagined an extra zero in your FC amount.
Anyway, it's still alot. I did. That sac event too, but didn't get as much. I did only 1 ultimate, the rest I tried to at least get Grand sac's for the skill shards.
My brain is mush after all the manual battles against all the Charlottes with vipers, and Raven witches w/ labrynth.
I keep hearing shotguns and healing sounds in my head, LOL.
I think I have LOTB post traumatic stress.

Yeah, I noticed in the top 5, hours went by and everyone stayed at the same points. I kept playing to increase my lead and assurance I wouldn't lose 2nd place, but the guys below never moved for like 6 or so hours straight. I figured, like me, their probably burnt out.
What made it even longer, is that Charlotte heals her and an ally twice. When she shoots, her meter heals up, she would sit down and heal even more. The ally too.
I hit her with 3 toons and she went from in the red nearly dead to fully healed.
So, either a Gambler critical strike or stun and wail on her would do it.
