Title is what it says. Talk about how you feel about it.

Game functionality and content improvements are welcome. Repeatable goals in events is so much better than a fixed cap like in the current arena one at 400 wins. New Frontier Keys for special dungeons/loot sounds awesome. Characters and talismans are getting absurdly overpowered and I love it. Actually decent arena rewards is also long overdue, this should inject player interest to many of us who play 1 a day except for events. NF listens and responds, thanks for interacting. Sure they promote silly overpriced digital content packages but they must generate revenue and I'm grateful to those who buy them. Some of my troopers must blow hundreds a month, I can't. But I DO spend time and been playing all day every day for years. Looking forward to the upcoming tour and hopefully more rewards like we got from the last leg.

I purchased, I'm not ashamed to say. I don't strive or have the motivation to be "eternal" but the current state dictates that you must spend or fall behind. When I joined the forum I posted a comment about having/collecting all the characters and someone responded that it would make the game stale and unplayable but isn't that what we have now? You must have the latest and greatest to keep up.

What I read is, more over priced characters, more overpriced talisman are coming. We've been told (RIP Sparton) that this practice generates revenue and I get it. Hopefully the company takes a harder look at these prices and brings them in line with other games.

If it is decided that current pricing must remain, then RNG must be addressed. It is a "slot machine" and the house wins every time. A good casino balances between letting players win and feeding their addiction.

I feel the changes are a good step to make the game good again. I'm watching to see if they follow through. As far as falling behind, I've not purchased anything in a good couple of months and have been able to maintain my usual standing each week. Of course I never tried to get to the top, just have fun. The game just got stale and I'm hoping this injection can freshen it up.

The Frontier Keys are the most intriguing bit of news out of there. I'm eager to see how they will work. The guild stuff could be fun too but that's still pretty vague.

If we're talking about cutting back on events, maybe take the whole monthly cycle we've gotten used to (Character Fragment, Sacrifice, Arena and more recently Evolution) and spread it out over two or three months. Although feel free to keep Sacrifice events every months cause I love them.

Will Arena grant rewards for defense wins, I recall something said to this effect a while ago. Last week I had a new hi record of 323 defense wins at 85% success rate. Sure would be nice to get some rewards for setting up an effective defense...5497

more environments in these "frontier key" dungeons might be interesting, especially if they've got a theme to them.

Like, there are some "sets" of characters that don't really have a corresponding environment.
I'm thinking particularly here, of Trooper Eddie: With Trooper Eddie, and Baroness Redan, Lady Azov, Bastion, Warlord, Undead Crimean soldier, the Cannoneer, etc. then that's a "set" of characters. But there isn't a Crimean War type environment.

Cyborg Eddie as well, there'd surely be an environment for him and some other characters in his "set", yes ? the futuristic cityscape from "somewhere in time", but also the alien wild west from "stranger in a strange land". (Although, is Cyborg Eddie from Somewhere in Time and Stranger in a strange land the same ? if not, they're very similar).

I'm disappointed (but not surprised) in their statement regarding support. I still have tickets from over 3 months ago that have gone without resolution. It's at the point right now where if your ticket corresponds to an event you won't get a response before it ends which makes it pointless for us to submit them and the support team to do anything since the bug is no longer relevant.

I remember back when I started I submitted a ticket that dealt with a problem with my daily quests and they responded before the next rollover which meant I actually was able to benefit from a solution.

It's this completely pointless support system which is preventing me from making any IAP, if they fixed that I would probably make 1 or 2.

I had a random thought today. They showed off some art for a new character they were making - a Minotaur.

in Greek legends, the Minotaur was confined in the Labyrinth.

So, I think there might be something to earn Labyrinth talismans coming fairly soon, so you might expect to see a lot more of those in future.

Daedalus built the labyrinth and was also Icarus father. I dont know why they show Daedalus with what appears to be a burnt wing. The wax on Icarus wings melted and he fell to the earth. Daedalus flew from Crete to Cicily.

... Daedalus flew from Crete to Cicily.

Well ... due to a bug his wing got burnt and he crashed into the Mediterranean Sea ... his son on the other hand married the Silver Surfer and they became 1!

Do you think the Minotaur could be the Hirophant in the sacrifice event

I may be wrong but I dont think the minotaur would be considered a heirophant. A hierophant is a priestly like figure from ancient Greece. The hierophant is also a priestly figure in a tarot deck.

I thought NF designed Icarus to look like the inflatable that's being used during IM concerts. Still doesn't explain why Daedalus looks disfigure tho.

Yeah, that has bugged me for awhile too. Maybe his wing is burnt because he throws so many flame effects in his attacks.
I gotta say, LOTB for the most part is pretty up on all the mythology, paganism and occultism. It has been very educational.
Before this game I probably couldn't have told you one false god of egypt, but now I use them in the gauntlet every week. LOL
I think the Frontier keys and special dungeons are going to be awesome, getting new toons, plus COSMIC EVOLUTION MATERIALS. With the catalyst soul randomly giving evo stuff, we're going to need a ton of them to get a specific one in the amount needed to evolve. I need 4 more of 5 sacred crowns to evolve to a 3 star. It can take awhile when catalyst give out randomly.

I originally thought so too but after listening to Bruce Dickinson's autobiography he admits they flipped the roles of father and son as opposed to the original myth.

In the song Icarus wings turned to ashes. The myth has icarus wings melting and falling to the earth and drowning. No where in th he song do they mention Daedalus by name, just an old man on the hill.

Well, there's the answer, straight from the singer's mouth.
They flipped the father/son roles. Thus NF basing the characters after the song.
Good job. Thanks for clearing that up.

They may have based it off the song not the myth.
