Connection issues?

So I didn’t see this posted anywhere else, but is anyone else having LOADS of connection errors? Since the last update I have an error box pop up on literally every single match - Gauntlet, Arena, LOL, etc. that requires me to tap the OK box to continue. It then connects and I can finish whatever I’m doing, but it makes auto-grind virtually impossible. I’ve tried it on WiFi, cell service, at home, work, in town and out of town. Doesn’t matter where I am, I’m still getting the error boxes.

Anyone else having this issue? Any way to fix it?

Well, I wasn't but then it started about the time you posted this. ;) I'm on Android, get the "Connection error. Please check your internet connection..." pop-up a few times before the game even finishes loading. Get it even tho I've tried different net connections and devices. I suspect it's on the server-side. Going to give it a few minutes before I freak out. lol

I tend to get a black screen when switching between attack and defense lists in the Arena. I can click on all the top line currency setting but the lists and everything else is gone. Cannot get back to the Cosmos screen so have to restart.

cant play these events... lol dungeon autoplay or manual. game crashes after 1 round. evolving/enhancing talismans may be lucky to get to home screen and have work saved. usually crashes and have to enhance same talismans again. im on ios, ipad 3 or 4, so thats probably the issue.

Yes, every battle in arena ends with connection issues. I know we have alot of new players with maiden promoting it.can your server handle it?

Same here too. Started Raven Alter and cant get into it - when I did it would not auto or play manual - it went back to set up screen and then put the team back in and same again.

Please fix this as I can do nothing.

I've been noticing connection problems for about a week now. But past couple days its virtually unplayable. Opened Lol dungeon. Average run was 1:30 secs and only ended up with 29 runs after 2 hours cuz of connection problem load times in between runs. This is becoming a waste of my time.

Happened to me starting on Sunday night. Really sporadic at first -- get the spinner, wait a few minutes, then I'd get in, play for a while, get a connection error, rinse and repeat. Then it "broke" once and for all. If I let that screen you shot last long enough, I get an error pop-up about either a bad network connection of a bad HTTP object. Figured it was a server issue.

BUT it only happened to my phone (Android). Installed on my new Nook and never had a problem. Installed it on my ancient Transformer; no problem there. Even tried Bluestacks and it worked great.

On my phone, I cleared my cache, cleared my data, uninstalled/reintalled, even did a factory reset. No luck. Turned off my VPN, tried a completely different net connection (grasping at straws), and never could get it to work. Then Monday afternoon it just started working on its own. Again, nothing I did could get this to work; it just fixed itself.

Might want to contact support and see if they have a clue.

The nice side effect from this update is many are unable to to login or have connectivity issues. I average at least one crash per normal refill independent of what I am playing. They want us to spend ironite, money, but we can play and only lose ironite for our time and effort..

There's a nice grind for red werewolf souls --> Orbit talismans, plus Lilith fragments, that I would really like to auto without rebooting the app every hour. Plus the Sac event-- I'm 3/4 of the way to another Vortex and I'd REALLY like to hit that. What are the clans even introduced for? There's literally no features.

I am thinking the same. First I also thought, what a stupid idea to release the feature without real content. But as we see it is a needed test, obviously. Test how players react to it, how the servers handle it and what issues come up. Imagine it would have started directly with an event or so... better don't!

Servers can't really handle it, the daily check-in seems not to work, red skulls are not rewarded and the red notification pops up for no reason. So apparently there is something to do to make this a real feature.

I know this will never happen because they have a schedule to follow, but stop releasing new content until they can solve the connection activity issues. This just causes more frustration for everyone. They make us grind for new items, just to limit the grinding by connectivity issues. I just quite trying the arena this week. If you are trying to run the keyed dungeons it is a gamble if it will work and you need to babysit to reboot when nreded.

It was completely unnecessary to release a unplayable beta version of clans with an event dungeon running.

For the last two days the situation has become unbearable. I am having crashes in EVERY single battle on the dracula dungeon. I mean...The connection error message is popping up every two mins or so. Crashes in powerslave farming, crashes in daily dungeon, crashes in sacrifice. Ok, what on earth is happening? Are we iOS users cursed or something? It is evident that putting such a heavy load on the game, by releasing so many events and features at the same time, is clearly not working. I understand the company has to make money, but they should make the app a little more stable first...

The crashing problems are not exclusive to IOS users. I have a S9 android and it crashes at least once per normal refill no matter what area of the game I play. I quit trying to play in the arena, just opening it usually crashes the game.

It is taking me multiple tries to get into an arena battle. When I finally do it either locks up at the win when trying to contact the server or I come back to a blank list after several minutes of trying to connect. I've left it at the screen hoping the win would count eventually. A couple did a couple didn't.
It seems like a bad idea to add another event when there are so many problems with connections currently.
I feel like all I am doing is opening the app, waiting, waiting, waiting, oh finally a battle screen. Fight, lag, fight, hang... force quit. Try again.

I have not played the Ravens Alter Dungeon yet. Got keys from the Dracula event, new event has a dungeon challenge.
Game doesn’t stay playable for more than 5 minutes be for it crashes then takes 2-3 restarts before it connects again, before it crashes again. So I’m not going to waste the key or ironite on a refill to play it.. Compensation is nice, but can’t play the game, it only goes so far... Give all players 50 fragments towards each of the 2 new characters in compensation. Or, better yet, fix your server issue so game is stable and playable!

Basically I have a very sneaking idea that they have implemented software that tracks the ip's that are connected continuously for a significant length of time and attempts to either time them out or disconnect them. I figure this probably works pretty good on portable devices. However when it comes to emulators on a desktop it probably doesn't work as well. Mainly because desktops are either plugged in or on wifi which don't operate the way cellular networks do. What I would really like to know is what group is really having the issues. PC users or mobile? I know I have seen a few more issues mobile than normal but the data network where I am can be flakey so I can't be sure of what is causing it. However the lag and connection problems on my pc are starting to make the game almost unplayable. Getting stuck in the middle of combat is one of the favourite things it does where its on autopilot but the autopilot isn't sure whos turn it is anymore so it does nothing. Or variety of please check your internet connection again errors, yeah hardwired here and no issues with my connection.

So really whats causing the problem? Bad implementation of code? Attempts to control how many connections to the server are going on at a time? Controlling how long a connection can last? Kinda makes you wonder if they paid the server hosting bill.

Cause if its bad implementation of code you have my sympathies now roll it back and get it working.

If it has anything to do with trying to control the number of connections and how long the player can be connected, well, lets just say I have ranted on that topic several times. It boils down to if you don't want people connected to the game for days at a time figure out a way to get rid of the requirement to be connected for days at a time because of how long it takes to grind the events into completion.

Cause we have two choices to win this game... permanent grinding or pay to win. There is no way a casual player can compete in this game anymore.

It's not because of emulators. If it is connection control, the software gas gone haywire and can't determine actual connection uptime-- disconnecting after a few minutes at best. This is on an Android V30 on strong wifi OR cellular, no difference.

If it's bad code, they need to push an update to the app store that is the version BEFORE clans. Take that new code back to the drawing board.

Most likely they didn't forecast enough capital budget for server infrastructure, i.e. the number of new users is overloading the system. And THIS is an unsolvable issue. Without people playing, there's no money. Without money, there's no new servers. Meaning, the game is dead and they are looking for new jobs.

Good point. I don't mean to shit on individuals but it's so fucking frustrating. The game needs to be fixed from the ground up before adding so much additional content. There also needs to be staff on standby especially if events are starting on the weekend -- ie. Gauntlet Season 5 in a couple hours...
