What should I save or buy in the frontier store

Should I buy the angel and the gambler soul fragments or should I buy an actual character like Lilith or something. I have almost 1400 frontier coins

It’s a tough one! I do remember reading not that far back about someone here on the forums who took the risk, used his FC and bought the frags and ended up with a second Angel Eddie. I was thinking about it but decided against it a week after the frags for them showed up in the Fronteir store, I saved up for the Gambler myself, fortunately a sacrificial event followed not long after, that was raining FC so the saving for me was made a little easier...

It depends on what characters you have. If you don't have either Gambler or Angel, I'd say you should save up for one of them.

Do you have KP? He would be more versatile than either A or G, since a new better eddie will come along soon enough. This game of chasing the in thing is never ending.

Hitting first place after "Rollover" is easy.
Ending up there after 7 days takes alot of battles.
Your score gives you away. You might finish in 80th position with 3500+.

Anyone wanting to boast of Arena accomplishments needs to have an "Arena Winners" pic or be pretty well known and accomplished like some of the winners.

I dont have the time or the inclination to play the arena that much anymore. I could consistently be in the top 50 at the end of the event when I play. I have maxed relics and plenty of IC so I have no need in playing. It shows real commitment to hit eternal or even 20K points, along with alot of time and SoT.

I dont know about you but it only take some money to be a top 50 player in arena. If you are so good where do you rank in gauntlet? I am content on where I rank in the time I allow this game, I dont need to brag to make myself feel better.

Ancient if you are so great of a player, why dont you help all the players who struggle with tips and stategy.

Ancient, I just looked up the arena board and you are only ranked number 50, 1200 points behind the leader. If you are so great an arena player how did you fall so fast? Number 1 on the second day doesnt mean too much at the end of the week.

The real top players are the ones who help others players. It's only a game to pass the time. The last few weeks have been great with time off of grinding so we can enjoy real life.

I agree with you guys. It's just a game.
My zeal for playing has declined. But, I'm back to weightlifting more frequently. Plus, looking at your phone for hours at a time, I have noticed my farsighted vision get worse. But I can still see Osiris has 2 green and one red slots.

It seems once you get some achievements in arena, it becomes like "been there done that."
Plus, it gets repetitive at the high end with nearly identical teams.
The worst "killjoy" is the ever increasing bugs. The more toons/ talis released, the more variables in the coding, thus more bugs.
-The new orbits don't remove buffs if they have perf. immunity.
- Doom doesn't kill Gambler if he has perf. heal shield ( he looks gone but still attacks)
- AI heals with crave.
-%'s are not as described, for the AI side (ie. 35% is really 100%)
-Lately, silver debuffs are applied to non-AI team w/ Charlotte in 1st round, w/ no visible pass. disable)

I could go on and on. This alone kills the incentive for PvP.
I usually try to stay in the top 100 just for ironite rewards and for reputation, but this week, I'll pass and do bare minimum.
It's a shame.... cuz I currently have like 2,600 SoW from all the dungeons.
Gauntlet will be the focus.... and that's just for Wrathchild frags.

I have a pHD in waiting - for when I have time. My Masters has done me well job wise so very glad that I got it and importantly time to be a student in Edinburgh! That was the most important part of it all for me anyway...but it nice to be able to pay the mortgage and to buy stuff that I could not afford when I was a youngling...oh and save money to put my kids through Uni too!

Until one has reached "God" at rollover or "Eternal" from the previous PvP set up.. they can be ignored.

Ancient, I will give you credit that being a level 70 and in the top 100 in the arena is a difficult feat. This could only be accomplished through extremely good luck in the RNG drops or to spend real dollars on the game.

I will never be eternal because I dont have the time or ambition to achieve that feat. 800 or 1000 battles is just too much of a time commitment in my life. I may not have every new toon or talis, but I could be much higher in the rankings if I choose to play. I have plenty of SoW from dungeons to play for free.

The game has changed in the last year, where you can purchase OP toons/talis where in the beginnings it was a real gring to even evolve or shard your toons. Being in the top few each week is a real time commitment, butit only take a few key toons/talis currently used in the meta along with alot of SoW. If you want real bragging rights with the gauntlet, that will show your real skill in choosing toons/talis against opponents with impossible talis setups. To win the gauntlet you will need a very deep roster and all the eddies.

Game has certainly changed a lot and much more front loaded for new folk - which is a good thing as it took most of us months and years tio get a solid roster - if you have the money and want to send you can get close to the top very quick compared to the old days - there was no real way to do it back then.


We have enough gripes with the game and all of the bugs to be griping at each other - personally I can't be bothered with the effort of 'fighting' keyboard warriors. Far too easy these days to be an annoying git online and get away with it - in the old days you got a smack in the face or a kick in the ass. Nowadays folk can sit and say what the want and wind people up because there are no consequences/smacks/kicks.

I never really get it to be honest what a waste of time, surely we have more going on than getting involved in petty trolling/bikering/griping?

I have come up against a few players in arena that have been a test to my attack team - just because they have managed to get the current meta charaters and talisman - they may only be lower level but they can still get you from time to time if you are not careful...and even then care can mean nothing if RNG kicks you hard.


Hopefully, we can all park this and move on! But yeah like Yup I have to laugh at the quoted retort of 'God your a retard', superb stuff but I will confess to being shite at English (I did get through Uni!) and I have terrible typing skills!
