Quick question on Effects

Hi all,
Just a quick question on effects. On some of the characters, they'll have abilities/effects/Talismans and whatnot. Some of these effects last for a specific duration. Here's an example:

Hierophant (Sentinel)
Passive: The Papacy (Grant Endure and Perfect Immunity to all allies for 2 turns at the start of battle)

Now let's say that I'm running Powerslave (which consists of 5 rounds). Does this mean that the effect only works for the first 2 turns of the entire event... or does it work for the first 2 turns of each round?

It works on each round.

So when there is a mission requiring a certain action and a toons passive covers it, it counts toward the mission each round of the battle.

That is how some missions are completed so quick.
