The only ones you ought to level up are the 4 and 5* characters. 4* level 80 will save alot of essence for high sacrifices. 5* level 100 same situation.

I had a LOT of characters saved up for this sac event so I got the special soul in like 10 minutes. Ended up getting Daedalus so I'm good. Also got Flight of Icarus Eddie just from one of the numerous heroic souls that dropped during the process. Good stuff.

I could probably force another 500 frags if I really started dipping into the rare souls, but I figure I'll save them for the next "drop 300 souls and get a new character" event.

Same here, after the first Ultimate, I got the challenge rewards for the stretch goal and it says completed. Not sure if it's supposed to be a repeatable challenge, or just a challenge you gotta do 3 times. Either way it's coming off from just one so...

Should I level up sacrificial hearts?

Depending on your gold and shard reserves on how much you level sac fodder. The essence value is linear to the level while the price to level toons is not linear.
It takes about 1/4 the price to level 4* to 50 with 60% of total essence value.the same goes for 5*. It also depends on what sac level you are going for. If you are trying to reach a certain sac level you may not want to fully level the toon.

The sac essence will count toward filling the vortex, but some will be wasted in the sac values.

Welp, just realized a level 100 ultimate sacrificial heart is 4000 essence. All my duplicate 5-star characters are not much more than that. I can't even do one top tier sacrifice.

To get to 50,000 I'd have to sacrifice every good rare character I have-- and these are not even, like really good characters. I mean like like Beelzebub, Osiris, my one regular Lilith, etc.

Just had the same issue with an Ultimate Sacrifice... Had the issue 3 times tonight, first two times were just regular sacs, I just force restarted and got my rewards when I got back in. Ultimate sac and Vortex though? Yeah, I don't think I got anything. No frags, souls, Ironite, anything. Considering sending a ticket, given it's probably just screwed me out of a Halloween Heroic.

Also a bit confused on the event itself... Wasn't there supposed to be a Fragment event for the Warrior Werewolf before this event?

Actually not a bad event this time around. My dupe roster was literally bursting at the seams and after like an hour of sacrificing I managed to pull a few missing characters including the count, Gunner Pope, and Magus werewolf. So that's pretty sick.

The other stuff, the event itself is kinda meh, I would have preferred more emphasis on awakening materiels and frontier coins as rewards considering the stuff that's been happening recently.

Few days, ha ha. These are my best characters I've been saving since I learned Sac events exist.

I'm not complaining-- I burned through as many Exalted as I could, recycling dupes, and I'm very pleased.

I got a Killer Beast and a Sentinel ninja girl, which are good characters for me. A bunch of Phantom Eddies I didn't need, but oh well

Now, are these wolves gonna be gamechanging for LOL, Drac dungeon and raven? I'm looking forward to read new strategies on the forum. They look solid but I don't know if they can replace any of the existing strategies/toons. I am still struggling for LOL XV auto and drac auto...

Every Hierophant I've seen has great Passives, great power skills (that guarantee an extra move), and are designed for team synergy.

UPDATE: To clarify--
1) If the game freezes during a sacrifice, shut down, restart, you get a pop-up of your sac rewards.
2) Game freeze during a VORTEX sacrifice, shut down, restart, sac rewards pop-up. Your VORTEX rewards will be in your BoS Inventory (NO pop-up).

I got a 5* eddie (flight of icarus), and a few 5* allys that I had missed out on before (Musashi, gunner Minotaur, magus Hierophant), and some 4* allies that I didn't have. So I'm pretty happy with that.

Sure is a lot of gold to claim all these souls though :O

Had a full dupe roster of 4-5 stars toons (150 or more) and an entire soul inventory and fragments built up but unable to summon while waiting for something like this. I dropped over 40 stacks of common souls, 4-5 stacks of various epics and rares and the the following frags and mythicals that they awarded. Used about 40m gold for about 120 skill shards 1,000+ ironite and now have ALL exclusive event toons! Pulled NOTB, dupe count (A) Daedalus, baroness, and on the last one...MUSASHI! Still sitting on about 15 common soul stacks, 150 or so heroics, and ten heroic legendaries. Need only G A W wolves, G S bulls, dungeon and pay eddies and new LOLs.

Newer players desperately need any advice on building 3* teams that can run dungeons.

I've looked around, but can't find any solid info. I've got a huge pile of 3* toons I wish I could sacrifice, but I'm afraid to. I'm trying to find good teams, but the 3* skills are so lame, it's beyond my understanding. When I level up toons with Revive or Cleanse, or other useful skills, it's still like a 20% chance, and not reliable enough to plan a team synergy around. Are 3* teams just a slug-fest of basic skills/stats??

I'm still fixated on the idea that "identifying character skills that make a team with every tool you need" is how to build a team. Because, as a mid-level player, that's all I can really do. I'm not finding the groove with these 3* toons.

These dungeon requirements feel like a way to encourage wasting evo runes, and end up with a cluttered inventory full of losers. I'm dumping every 3* but the ones I'm currently using to auto Weekly on Madness. F#%k it.


ETA: I'm going to look up the skills on the 3* toons you mentioned, but if this is a talisman thing, they're going in the wood chipper.

I understand the frustration, it really is difficult to get started here. From my limited experience so far though, characters that can remove buffs and disable passives have proved incredibly useful. As well as anything that helps keep your team alive for longer.

Talismans do seem to be vital though. The Singularity talismans from a recent even were a game-changer for me, being able to steal various immortality-style buffs.

I'm tempted to suggest leaving most of these key dungeons alone for the moment, I get the impression they are end-game stuff, despite the 3/4* character restrictions some of them have. It is as you say, not worth wasting resources if you're not able to complete them. Unfortunately the game doesn't let you preview the dungeons or see what sort of enemies they contain before spending the resources to get in. Thankfully we have people like Bakura and others sharing screenshots and teams on here.

same here, that's what i understood when i first saw the event banner, but when i realized i was wrong it was disappointing :(

Except for Van Helsing Eddie and the gunner Werewolf, i got all of the other Dracula's event chars anyway, which is nice.

The event has been funny, even though not even close to the legendary Halloween event of the last year which with enough gold was basically neverending, while giving loads of game resources.

No Luck at all with this event for me. 4-Vortexes filled(first vortex was almost filled) and I can't remember how many souls I opened. Out of all that I received 1 toon that I do not have a gunner pharaoh dog King. I also managed to get enough shards for 1 mythical Halloween soul and got the Count.

Best decision I've ever made. Burned them all and got a Redan, the Witch Doctor, Samurai Eddie, and Iron Eddie.

Reinforces my belief that I don't benefit by trying to do "everything" at once. Gauntlet grade A gets the featured talismans in two runs, so that's as deep as my roster needs to be. Other than that, I'm burning everything that doesn't help me grind dungeons at the difficulty required to maximize rewards.

Last year I saved one of each pumpkin.
Recently, in a very difficult Gunners only AAA level of gauntlet, I was running out of toons and won a last chance battle using Gunner pumpkin. So you never know when something will come in handy. 🎃🎃🎃

Also for the 5*, I personally only ever raise to 5* L80 or 90. The last few levels cost proportionately a lot more. So always keep it as low as you can get away with. Sometimes if I HAVE to go higher to get the next level, then I do, but generally you dont need to.

Even put together a 3* team to squeeze the soul frags out of my Weekly dungeon keys. Even put together a 3* team to squeeze the soul frags out of my Weekly dungeon keys. Nice, I hadnt thought about the weekly dungeon for soul farming! Not sure if its better or worse, but farming lol does drop the odd rare soul.... Otherwise, dropping the common souls from LoL farming can also get you a decent amount of 3* sacrifice fodder and even better that they shard up to a rare. My advice though is just to sell the 2 and 3* as its so much faster than painstakingly saccing 100s ofr 2* chars for not much return.

The weird thing about that is the achievement says "achieve ultimate sacrifice or better" when Ultimate is the highest you can go. So I wonder if it was supposed to be Exalted instead.

I looked at the Frontier Key Cheat Sheet and realized it's the only "key dungeon" that drops toon frags.


My advice though is just to sell the 2 and 3* as its so much faster than painstakingly saccing 100s ofr 2* chars for not much return.
I'm buying Ultimate Sacrificial Hearts with them. Thank you, devs, for making common souls a Store currency!

I disagree with selling your common souls, and here is why:

Common souls = Ironite

How so? When you sacrifice 10x 2* characters you’ve got a decent chance of getting SoT, and occasionally a few actual ironite. If you open a stack of 99x regular souls, you’re going to get at least 10 shots at gaining SoT or Ironite. The SoT usually comes in anywhere from 4 to 10, and Ironite usually 4-9 (don’t quote me, as I’m going off memory). Considering a SoT refill costs you 30 Ironite, getting upwards of 40-60 SoT and maybe 5-10 Ironite out of a stack of common souls is a hell of a lot better than a few thousand gold. One run in the newest dungeon (can’t think of the friggin name, but you all know what I’m talking about) will give you 14-18k in gold and only cost you 8 SoT. Besides, sacrificing a few stacks of common souls will also make a noticeable dent in your vortex — not a ton, but an eighth at least.

tl;dr

Sac your common souls, it’s worth the strain on your thumb.

Heroic Halloween; 1° The Count, 2° Redan (yeaa) and 3° Musashi!!! (lucky me! I though I was going to end up with 3 counts hahah)

Other souls that I wanted and finally found : G Hierophant / Bass Eddie / Icarus Eddie / Wrath / M S Werewolf

Still chasing G Mino and NotB Eddie but I´m really happy!

On the other hand it took me 20m to open those souls xD

Had two chances at the two characters I’m missing from the heroic rotation - redan and the count.

My hopes weren’t high, but it was a kick in the pants to give me the same dup twice.

Had a third go round, got the same dup again. Now I’m beginning to doubt the contents of the soul. Maybe it’s just that one guy.

I have used, I think, maybe 10+ heroic Halloween souls - my first 6 got me dupes of what I had other then Magus Hiero - my next got me NotB and the Count so I got them all in the end but it was only because I could sac so many souls and had enough gold to do that.

Well, I guess I am lucky then.

I needed all 6 Helloween Mythicals, opened 5 souls in total:
1st - Musashi (Great, he was the one I wanted most)
2nd - Musashi (Eh????)
3rd - Icarus
4th - NOTB Eddie
5th - magus Hiero

After Musashi I longed for Count and Redan, but no luck this time. I would be able to get 2 more H. souls, but that would suck me dry on souls, so it is end for me.. Nice event, though.

I was close to flipping the Vortex again, so I threw everybody in the wood chipper except my 12 favorites from each class. I didn't get any skill shards :(

Oh well, it feels good to have a clean inventory. I guess.
