We’ve been busy.

This week was the launch of our first iteration of Clans, the second week of Dracula’s Decent AND our Sacrifice event, the Haunted Abyss. As a community, you completed 2,610,630 Sacrifices so far in the Haunted Abyss, Summoned 10,033 Werewolves for your own teams and Successfully completed Dracula’s Descent 11,350,020 times.

Oh and you completed roughly 500 pvp matches with a Sandworm on your team. Why?


THE LAUNCH OF CLANS

If you haven’t already, please read through our Clan Feature Guide HERE (https://forum.ironmaidenlegacy.com/showthread.php?12463-Clans-Feature-Guide!)! This will help explain what features are available in this iteration of Clans.

Check-ins are not currently tracking but a fix for this will be pushed this afternoon (PST).

Many of you have created clans and even more have joined them, creating groups of friends and strangers alike. For those of you who are being more selective about your clans and those of you who have been looking for a specific group of people, keep an eye on the Forum and Reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/LegacyoftheBeast/) on Tuesday 29th October. I have a special event planned for you!


BUG CRUSHERS

We wanted to share with you a more in depth look at Bug fixes for this update as it involved many important larger fixes that needed to be addressed.

Here is the report.

Client Release Fixes

Passive Disables - These were behaving incorrectly. Originally this was seen by players when Angel Eddie was on your own team and all of a sudden he was disabling your own teams passives. This wasn’t restricted to Angel Eddie, it was any character that had a passive to Prevent the enemy from gaining Immunity effects.

Here is a scenario. Angel Eddie has the passive to make the enemy team unable to gain Immunity effects. Another member of your team has the passive to Grant Immunity to your team for a certain amount of turns. In the code, Eddie’s Passive is read and applied first, so that would cause the Grant Immunity from your teammate to also stop working. It would still show the Icon like it was working. But it wasn’t. But now it is!

Team Decks - Teams in Frontier Key Dungeons had not been tracked because of restrictions on certain dungeons, like only being able to use Assassin characters. This caused strange teams to be populated in your team deck before entering those dungeons. Now, the last team you used for a specific dungeon will be saved and pre populated when you load up that Key Dungeon.

Another change in this Client Update was the restriction of the “Use All” button on your Frontier Keys. You can no longer accidentally Summon all of your keys!

Lastly, some of our Awakened characters were able to skip the lockout and play multiple matchups in the Gauntlet. They will now retire correctly after each matchup.

We’ve been tracking the bugs introduced with the launch of Clans and have already deployed a few fixes.

Hot Fix October 22nd
A solution for Frontier Key Souls not opening their respective Dungeons was released.

Challenge Menu Issues
A fix has been written for the Achievements bug and will be released imminently!

Good tidings, Troopers!

This is Durandal from Navigator Games - here to present our very first edition of "Weekend Warrior". In this autobiographical journey of deadly dream teams, I will be sharing the results of my experimental team compositions over the course of each Arena reset. I'll be exploring everything from niche, woefully underutilized characters to the most popular meta picks to discover new ways of approaching Arena for all players.

This week, I chose to experiment with something a bit more accessible and less reliant on having all the most coveted characters and talismans. This is what I have been playing with most recently:

Penetrative Measures

-Pharaoh Eddie (Nat 4) with Eternal Talismans (alt. Football Eddie, Flight of Icarus Eddie)
-Magus Hierophant (Nat 5) with Space Talismans (alt. Magus Shardborne, Corrupt Feldmarschall)
-Gunner Pyro Soldier (Nat 4) with Flash and Future Talismans
-Assassin Derby Demon (Nat 4) with Shadow and Gravity Talismans

Notes:
- The Eddie is flexible here - Football Eddie can help Pyro by setting up blinded enemies.
- Flash Talismans allow Gunner Pyro Soldier to disable enemies with his blinding basic attack.
- All three allies trigger additional effects while buffed with Magic Penetration
- Keep Magus Hierophant safe with Space Talismans and have him start the show with Magic Penetration from his basic attack.

The Verdict: C

While it was fun to see these characters play off each other over a unifying beneficial effect, this team started to fall short in the top 1500 once I began to face off against the likes of the Lords of Light, Killer Prime, Alexander Eddie, Gambler Eddie and so on. While the team can disable enemies and penetrate defenses, I found a glaring weakness in their ability to deal with heavy beneficial effect removal and highly damaging abilities. This is a fun team to get your foot in the door though.

Next week, I'll be taking a look at some more powerful but potentially overlooked characters for those of you who wish to use unique weapons in your competitive arsenals. See you then!

When primordials can out I saw many using sandworms.

Besides the normal bug complaints the ones who cant login or the grinders getting frustrated with connectivity issues are a higher priority.

Ummmm... what happened to the Warrior Werewolf event running until tomorrow's reset? I've just run the dungeon two dozen times - no WW or Lilith frags...?

So the Apple people are going to miss at least 4 days of the Dracula dungeons and all of the Warrior Werewolf event? How is this going to be addressed? I just completed my grind for Van Helsing today. I completed W Werewolf Tuesday. If they make these two characters easily obtainable, I will demand my Ironite be returned to me!

On the WW Frag thing, I just had some drop from Cosmic LoL X. Maybe it's been fixed server-side, or were they not dropping in XI-XV?

Excellent - looks like I can start grinding again to finish off this second set of Orbits... until the server crashes again.

When will the sacrifice feature and levelling up of characters be fixed? Essence values are still completely messed up (some show 10 x the actual value, some even 100 x, others are completely random). Also, when manually levelling up characters to max level, they lose some levels when switching screens (three-star chars fall back to lvl 33 (and 43 after levelling up to 60 the second time), five-star chars drop from 100 to 75. A fix during the sac event (and/or a prolongation of the event) would be much appreciated.

Achievements are still hosed. -- It sure would be nice to collect those 8 Cosmic talismans I've earned.


And still crashing a great deal..... 5 runs in Dracula's Dungeon, 2 crashes. Practically a 50% crash rate.

.. 7 runs.. 3 crashes...

... 9 runs.. 4 crashes...

..12 runs.. 5 crashes....

..13 runs.. 6 crashes...

.. repeat.. a crash every 1-3 runs......

.. I'd.. uhm.. be embarrassed if I created anything with such a high failure rate.

Trying to simply hit 600 runs and I'm done with the event.. but these last 18 runs I need has taken so much time because I have to relaunch the app every minute. With such poor stability, thank heavens I have the characters and have no desire to deal with this for the 800 run goal.

Thanks for the heads-up, Yup! Unfortunately, sacrifice essence value is still messed up. Any fix coming for this, devs? Thanks!

I have not done the game update yet - too much fear it causes more issues and I need to get to the end of this Van Helsing grind to get him - after the ironite on mega refills I am not prepared to lose out on the character! Other than connection issues I can play and not too many crashes for me - just connection issues so far today since reset.

Damn, they found that Gauntlet bug with awakened characters! That was the rare bug that actually worked in favor of the player so I wasn't going to say anything. :p

They found that bug and fixed it, without anyone that I know of letting the cat out of the bag. Surprisingly they can fix bugs that are detrimental to them.

Someone must certainly have brought it to their attention. Although I don't play gauntlet for the past 3-4 seasons (I mean i play only to get a tali set), I never thought to mention it in any page or mail, and it is certain that many who achieved top positions took advantage of this..

I almost thought this was a feature. Bug or feature is my favorite game in that app :D If only other bugs could also be fixed that quickly... but I see from the passive disable example how complicated fixing can be. Especially if the general code seems to be full of traps, old relics, etc.

Apart from that, saving teams is great....if they now bring back the 3 teams we were able to save a year ago, it would be really good.

Removing the claim all option for the keys seems also good for the rushy players.

We now can just hope to see the connection problems, login problems etc. solved soon

Roughly 500? That's unacceptable. We need more players to fully max Sandworms, and bring them to offence and defense in pvp!

It was nice to see that the dev's are actually trying to play the game. I would like to see the stats tallied for all the existing bugs encountered. Such as passives remaining on revived toons, the non existing AI boost of extra turns or increased frequency of proc. They should have also seen revived toons that died ghosted or permadeathed. They may have seen thier opponent ignore your damage reduction shield or similar defenses.

If you are going to give analysis of toon/talis combos in the arena that can be beneficial to many newer players, please also give a detailed bug analysis.

That gauntlet bug was really the only reason I even bothered with anything above AAA.. it didn't "kick in" until you reached S.

Someone MUST have said something somewhere.... damn it! It actually made the Gauntlet worth playing above AAA.

It would only be FAIR if now.. all battles above AAA could only use an awakenable character ONCE.. like players. -- Truth is... the gauntlet should be restricted to one Ed per battle then the character is not available whenever the player is restricted to the same. At no point above AAA should I face 2 battles with the AI using the same characters... I can't use the same characters -- well I can't now if this bug is fixed. I tell ya though.. multiple battles with fully awakened LOLs, Lucifer, Dark Lilith.. Gambler or Alex Ed (with Orbits).. battle after battle...... it's just stupid if you expect people to play.

Honestly the only reason I re-used the characters was because they had talismans already loaded on them. They weren't even the best characters for the battles at the time. I am ridiculously tired of searching for and changing talismans on characters all the time. Multiple events going at the same time plus trying to grind out awakening materials... It takes 30 minutes to change gears for all the hunt and seek of where did I leave that damn talisman set... If it was easier to change things up I might put more effort into trying the harder levels again.

It would be a really nice bonus to awakening characters though to be able to re-use them in certain parts of gauntlet. It's not like gauntlet is a fair and equal test of anything the way it randomly generates content anyway.

Actually I don't know why I bothered, other than for other rewards.. I've got plenty of Starfires last gauntlet round.. more isn't really needed. The same talismans repeated is good I guess for lower levels.. but once you pass the "full set" rank, especially 2 sets..... it can get to be superfluous. It wouldn't hurt them to offer one talisman set for rank up to AAA (which they could repeat), then a different set for anything S or above.

I haven’t read back on this thread but it sounds a lot like the awakenable lol’s of mine can’t be used multiples of times in Gauntlet anymore?
The Warrior and the Magis always went like normal after one use anyway.
It was mainly the Raven Witch that saved my bacon on more than one occasion..

There’s a saying that “What’s good for the goose is good for the gander” so Devs how about limiting one use of each character at each level of gauntlet when these battles are generated?

Yeah.. they purportedly fixed it.. I'm done with the Gauntlet this round so I can't test at all.... there was some character ID confusion between S, M, and C LOLs.. use one and 2 or 3 got screened back... but S, M, and C were only ever usable once.. the others.. well.. sounds like they fixed it so the AI has that unfair advantage again.

Amazing how bugs in the players favor get fixed rapidly.. but nothing else seems to get addressed with any sort of urgency. (Although I wouldn't call this a "bug" specifically.. it was leveling of the playing field since the AI uses the same characters over and over and over and over and over.)

I do take it seriously! We all do. Every ticket that comes in regarding Missing Sacrifice rewards is checked and contacted. Most of the time the rewards were given to the player, they just didn't show as a pop up due to a server time out. If you are having issues with missing rewards Dele, don't worry, we will get to your requests.

You did. After the event.

And no it wasn't visual only. I've been playing this game for months, I wrote the player's guide, I built lotbhelper.com, and I'm a 25+ years senior developper/architect. I know when I open a ticket for a bug.

All the while you found time to put up the compendium, a new dungeon, and almost 10 new characters. But still there are blocking bugs. And still we don't get proper compensation. And when we do work that you could help with, and we ask for your help, you're nowhere to be seen. And when we offer help, you don't take us up on it.

Go tell that to those who manage you priorities.

Do you know why my Achievements tab is showing rewards available but not on the list for me to claim? Specifically Lord of Light Frontier, It displays completed the first one of this challenge as complete, although I have well over 3000 runs by now and that achievement is not claimable? This is happening on both my accounts now for the same challenge edsel 3356 slayer 8062664066416642

Sorry about the super late response. Both dealt with Purge mission not calculating. Been waiting over 7 months for a fix that customer support yltild me was a "top priority"... whatever...
