Collecting 250 Cosmic Newborn of Light Fragments GUARANTEES 1 Cosmic Newborn of Light. Likewise, collecting 250 Cosmic Golden Son Fragments GUARANTEES 1 Cosmic Golden Son.
Character Details:
Cosmic Newborn of Light (4★ Gunner): Stop your enemies in their tracks! This single target damager reduces the duration of beneficial effects and can inflict Shock, Stop, Smite and Ignite! This character also has no Talisman Slot restrictions, and will have Class Advantage over every enemy!
Cosmic Golden Son (4★ Gunner) Lull your enemies to sleep! This all enemy attacker can increase his allies Max HP and passively inflict Sleep on random enemies. This character also has no Talisman Slot restrictions, and will have Class Advantage over every enemy!
After this event, the Cosmic Newborn of Light and Golden Son, will only be featured occasionally in Heroic Soul Rotations. If you miss your chance to recruit them, it may be a very long time until you get another chance!

This is exactly what we need. more toons to grind for that we cant grind for since the game keeps crashing. I guess the new strategy to make money is force people to buy things they cant earn since the game continually crashes.

Not too bad an event. I gotta burn at least 3000 or more sands of time to get van helsing Eddie anyways so I'm killing 2 very long and very annoying birds with one stone.

Completed and won 11 Arena battles with all Assassins. The Achievement is stuck on 9.
Anyone else having this issue?
I fought 10 with assassins.... they all counted... no issue
Note all allies MUST survive for it to count.

Devs, why can't I just trade 200 Sand of War for 150 character frags? I have the sands since I don't play arena. I'm sure others would do the same. This is time I could be using to farm other dungeons or areas.

This looks a bit like "Buy Mega-Refils: The Event"? Do the characters look worth the effort/ironite? Should be able to get a few of the other rewards without too much trouble at least.

I don't get it with this event. We need so much SOT to farm LOL to max out LOLs. I did none of the new dungeons (Raven, Maya, etc.) because of the lack of time and SOT.
The good thing is: nobody needs these two new toons.
Heroic Soul rotation will bring them back, so I can wait to...not get them again :-D

It's a pretty bold move. They're seeing if they can pass off "spend money on SoT" as an Event.
Actually.. it's roughly 5/6 mega-refills of SOT if you run the upper LOL levels.. and Up to roughly grade S (I think) in the Gauntlet for SOW. So, in general.. it is an event for those that refill SOT.. but the reality is, you can hit VERY FEW event goals any more without refilling SOT. So, chances are you'll hit goals just playing normally, the only caveat is that you really MUST run the gauntlet if you dislike PvP - or fight 200 PvP battle... which is a typical arena event goal.
I do really wish event goals were set with mid-level players in mind - Those players that might use the ironite collected throughout a day to refill SOT with 30 ironite once, MAYBE twice a day. All events requiring SOT seem to be ridiculously high these days (as are SOT costs for dungeons) and REQUIRE multiple maga-refills to hit -- and a time commitment of at least 4-5 hours (or more) every single day. They need to get goals down to 2 hours a day and no more than maybe 600-800 SOT over 4-5 days.
Like always, devs simply aren't realistic in regards to casual players.. but the reality is.. it's not the casual player that is making them millions. These type of "freemium" games are only there to push your wallet open, not for casual enjoyment. Bitching about it wont' change the world. :)

As yup stated the SoT goal is not unreasonable. You need to spen 3000 SoT in seven days. If you spend all free Sot ( 2000 in seven days) you would only need to buy 2 mega refills, that doesnt count the free SoT earned by grinding. Some of the other goals may not be realistic for new player, Some of the keyed dungeons may not be possibe.
The real current problem is the crashes which may not allow auto grinding. They want auto grind events, but currently it is not auto user friendly.

The developers need an intervention. Their servers can’t handle current content of the game, and they’re addicted to constantly releasing more and more unnecessary new content despite the detrimental impact on game’s health...
Connectivity to the game is sporadic and unstable, much like the developer’s reasoning that more rapidly released content is beneficial to the game. How many reports from players that game is unplayable due to server connection issues will it take for you to face your addiction? Please stop releasing new content until your servers can handle the demand and stay online.

My phone has a feature that actually monitors my app use and with this game during events like this I spend roughly 6-8 hours playing every day. With the Dracula event I've spent over 12 hours in the dungeon. Not alot of fun tbh.
Then again when there aren't event going on and no carrots to chase my app time is usually less than one hour so you gotta find a balance here

This is pretty uninspiring. Oh well, I should be able to get the SoW stuff thanks to Gauntlet starting up again. Already did the arena challenges.
This other stuff, though? Nah. Sure I'll grind in the Dracula dungeon for a few more days but that's about it. I can't stand that Airfield dungeon so not even gonna bother with that.

I'm okay with the Raven's Altar. I have a pretty strong four star roster. But I have barely anything decent for Gunner/Assassin 3-star so I get my shit ruined in the airfield dungeon. Can usually make it to the final wave but haven't been able to win.
I've only done the Mayan one a couple times. I had a pretty easy time with the Necropolis/Witch Doctor but the one with Shaman Eddie and the sorceresses is MISERABLE.

I have yet to attempt the raven's altar and airstrip dungeons and yet to complete the Mayan achievement so this event MIGHT give me the incentive to get a wriggle on. But I did say MIGHT. Still an event dungeon on, new season of Gauntlet plus the endless connection issues EVERYONE is experiencing, so I'm still quite meh about it all. Just doesn't seem worth the hassle and a game shouldn't be a hassle its meant to be entertainment isn't it?

I've been thinking about what could solve many of this game's issues-- specifically that the servers are overloaded because too many people are logged in 24/7, which is because the OP character/talisman teams can auto-win almost anything, so to make an achievement difficult, the developers say "you have to win it 2,000 times" --which guarantees the servers will be overloaded.
The antidote to this is: really difficult dungeons that are a major pain-in-the-ass to beat. Benefit #1: Less time spent on the servers, if the rewards come from difficulty vs. repetition, because "with all characters and all skill sharded, and high end talismans" it's STILL hard to beat. Less server load means the game runs better for everyone.
Benefit #2 (observed while playing Mayan Dungeon specifically): Players that DON'T have all the characters and talismans can ALSO beat these dungeons. I'm a mid-level player and I can beat the Shaman Eddie battle (not the Necropolis one) although it takes forever, it's just ONE battle vs. running my phone for 4 hours to beat the same battle 500 times.
So in summary, what the game desperately needs are MORE really difficult dungeons. NOT achievements of "auto this dungeon all day for a week"
In this respect, the Mayan Dungeon is THE BEST feature they've released so far.

What are you going to do after you complete the daily difficult dungeon run? Go auto-farm somewhere else to use your Troopers, level up some new characters or talismans, work on gathering awakening materials, etc. You'd have to change multiple other systems to make it all work.
Nope, just improve the rewards in the dungeons. High SoT cost, high difficulty, and high rewards.
They'd still get their $$ for Ironite, we'd still get our rewards, just via DIFFICULTY rather than REPETITION.
Troopers, we have 50. That's 50 runs, not the thousands we're doing now.
To be clear: if you're saying dungeons are "too hard" you're saying "we want to grind more" --there is no easy AND short.

For Raven Dungeon I used Shadow Wickerman(Alchemy) or Football Eddie(Primordial) Sentinel Troll(Inspiration Greed)Sentinel Son of Onyx(Singularity) /Magus Shardborne(Singularity) and Wicker Wolf Evolved/Magus Derby Demon(Viper Cosmic). Talismans can be on passenger Eddie. And Mayan dungeon goal is completely optional.

If you go for more difficult dungeons over repetition, you will still cause grinding issues. The lower level players will need to grind for the OP toon/talisman causing the same issues. It will reward the whales or long term players by not having them put in extensive grinding.

sorry, i dont do much forum stuff on weekends, i didnt see your post until now. Here is my teams:
Raven's Altar
Shadow Wickerman Eddie - Alchemy/cosmic
Magus Crimean Soldier - Inspiration/Sustaining/Warlord
Magus Derby Demon - Orbit
Sentinel Maclo - Inspiration/Sustaining/Warlord
If you need to do the Raven challenges, also use Wickerman Eddie as a ride along. Us the Shell talisman on him, the Shell doesnt need to be on a character that you attack with, just on a ride along.
Never lose, 1-2 min runtimes. As you earn the Wicker toons, you can level them to 100, maybe awaken once for the better abilities and then just swap toons. You get the warrior wolf first, put Orbits on him and replace derby demon with wolf. Then Owl comes next, swap out crimean for owl. I think I moved Alchemy to Owl, and put the Inspiration/Sustaining/Warlord on Eddie. After that, I swapped out the Owl for the sentinel wicker ox guy, Alchemy has to go back to the eddie, and i ran greed/inspiration on the ox. That should clear all achievements for Ravens Altar
Airstrip
Soldier Eddie - Primordial
Gunner Demon Spawn - Siege/Sustaining
Gunner Possessed Rockets - Radiant/Sustaining
Undead Allied Soldier - Warlord/Greed
That will get you all the achievements for the dungeon. For the current "life talisman" achievement, just put life talisman on another eddie as a ride along. I think I put them on storm. Other people had luck running storm as main eddie and using soldier as ride along, but i didnt need to. This should finish the dungeon around 1min per run average.
Someone on Facebook posted this team for the Mayan challenge (SHAMAN) it works pretty damn good on auto. one key, 3 plays 3 auto-wins. Going to keep using it and see if I get any losses:

Bass Eddie - Alchemy/Cosmic
Magus Crimean - Energy/Mark
Ancient Mariner - Greed/Cosmic (death mark passive) <--- this didnt make sense, it leaves 1 open talis slot, I am using any green 3-set plus Inspiration/Cosmic. Not sure if the death mark is needed, but I had one, so I am using it)
Magus Minotaur - Mark/Sustaining/Cosmic <--- Again, I deviated and I am using Fate/Mark
The key is the overwhelming number of marks applied to the enemy. Im not sure the autoplay uses the death mark skill on mariner, but whatever. The guy who posted it had a video of the game play, he is doing it manual but both times the shaman was dead before he even attacked with mariner. I accidentally had autoplay turned on and before i realized it, the fight was won, so I kept it on auto.
EDIT: I did end up with 2 random losses, but worked very well overall. I account the losses to a sudden complete lack of perfect attacks by my team. The AI suddenly would not land a single perfect, tons of marks stacked but couldnt trigger them. IF THE GAME WANTS YOU TO LOSE, YOU WILL!

wow, they have fixed the shadowman wickerman ride along. i used 3 swe, with two in the backup and only once is counting. so 300 runs is necessary..

Me too! What I hate most is, that they want us to waste items to buff toons and talismans that are so fckg useless outside this event.

Of course I struggled to play the event challenge as I had to play manual, since a character should have shell talis on, and no, you could not put them to the robo maclo, because you would lose the extra turns. So it had to be on magus derby, and I had to target Raven witch at the last level, and use the power move of Magus Crimean , only after the witch was ghosted. I hope this helps all fellow folks who try this specific dungeon...

I had 10(!) counts in 2h trying this shit Raven Dungeon. No chance on autoplay, I needed to do it manual, but it works not 100%. I don't want to invest in useless toons and talismans.
What a waste of time. Hope that Airstrip Dungeon is easier...

Thanks for mentioning this team. I will try it the first key I will be able to buy, because all of my coins are now depleted, which by the way, the keys are extremely expensive for the coins we are able to earn each day...

I was able to complete the Raven challenge on auto, using my regular team (pretty much the same one you listed), with Shells equipped to Wicker Man Eddie as my ride along.

You dont need to manual anything and you could have used the shell talisman on a random eddie as a ride along. but your team is solid. I would say orbit is better than viper on magus derby demon though.

Because it is an achievement and i was able to complete it. The dungeon, while very expensive, does drop a bunch of great loot. I wouldnt farm it for fun, but if there is a reason to go in there, i will. Sustaining Talisman alone is worth it, sacrificial hearts, tons of resources.... its power level is way too high, it is way too hard to "farm" but it is valuable.
Also because OCD refuses to allow me to skip an achievement.

Necropolis is hard but my team gets there on manual every time after a few nightmares trying to win using magus and sentinel - a really tough dungeon and just a massive grind it out fest to get the wins. It is expensive but as said - they rewards are decent - think I was getting the grail (the green goblet shaped one) talisman on my first run.

Funny thing.. Put Celestial talismans on ANY character and the Raven's Alter gets waaaaaaaaaaaaay easier.. but without Celestials, it's a pain in the ass (even if you disregard the consistent crashing). I ran Raven's Alter with M Onyx Son wearing Celestials... no issue on auto.. but ya gotta have Celestials - which is just wrong for a dungeon restricted to 3 star characters.
I also think 250 Frontier Coins for an (impossible) dungeon (Mayan) which you can ONLY run 3 times for that price is borderline abusive to users. I mean really 250 FC for 3 runs?? Come on!!!!! That makes the 30 run achievement cost 2,500 FC and that's IF you win all runs.

When people are talking about the Mayan dungeon with Necropolis and its difficulty, are we referring to this event having to use magus/sentinel only or in general. I've only done it once using Stormeye's team for the Shaman Ed and was lucky to get the win so I realise its hard. Im yet to give the current requirement a go as I know its gonna be bloody difficult but the Shaman Ed version should still count?

How many daily dungeon keys did you claim to earn 500 ironite? The max you can earn is 75 per key so at least you used is 7 keys. You then need to subtract how much net ironite was used to buy SoT to run those keys and use all your troopers daily. The remaining ironite only covers one good grind event in a month if you are extremely lucky in your key rewards. If you needed to earn 100 souls in the descent dungeon that at least cost 1200 ironite, how can the daily dungeons support that and grind all the other events and keyed dungeons.

I also think 250 Frontier Coins for an (impossible) dungeon (Mayan) which you can ONLY run 3 times for that price is borderline abusive to users. I mean really 250 FC for 3 runs?? Come on!!!!! That makes the 30 run achievement cost 2,500 FC and that's IF you win all runs.
In the end of the day there is always a solution thanks to the community. I totally agree with the extremely expensive key cost. I personally find it ridiculous for only 3 runs...Someone can buy a LoL with that amount of IC...

Nobody needs to play this dungeon. It's only for the ones who don't know what to do, because they got all toons and need some "challenge".
And... the Frogs need money...

I third that view - far too expensive for three runs on what is a really hard level. I cleared one key to see what it was like using the event restrictions and it was a pain but I got over the line OK. SoT cost and FC is extreme so I thin I will just leave it for now.

I had 7 keys in my inventory... They drop somewhere. I know i got a few from master keys which were earned from event achievements. I only had to buy 3 keys. Also unrelated, but gangland seems to drop raven keys often. Ive also seen airstrip keys drop somewhere. You can get keys free... i guess if you are lucky? i dunno, i auto run and later i find these keys.
Oh and mayan dungeon specifically drops keys as a major part of the rewards... i might have gotten mayan keys from the mayan runs and just kept me rolling, not sure
Hell, I am about 120 runs into gangland and just had to spend my first frontier coins on a key. I bought the 2mil keys (they go to your book of souls BTW, they dont open the dungeon on purchase) for the first 3 runs.

Have seen a few teams for Mayan dungeon event achievement (Magus or Sentinel), but had little luck with them. This one works for me on auto:
Bass Eddie - Alchemy/Cosmic
Awakened Magus Wicker Owl Evolved (5 Purple stars) - Singularity
Awakened Magus Lord of Light (4 Purple stars) - Celestial/Cosmic
Magus Hierophant - Primordials
Best time I saw was 2m10s. Average around 2m45s. Think the longest was about 3m40s, and that was only once. Never got close to dying.
Only tip: At the start, target any toon that doesn't have Invulnerability. As soon as Shaman loses his Invulnerability, or if all toons have Invulnerability, target him instead. This way you can hopefully start applying negative effects (which usually require the hit to land to activate) right from the start.

Oh, they've fixed it?? I saw the keys in the store for gold, but was afraid to buy them, because last time I did it was with an Infernal key and it opened the dungeon straight away (which I didn't want it to)). Thanks for reply/confirmation!

I did it using 1 purple star Wicker Owl and Lol and never used targeting. Still worked.

If you don't mind taking a hit to your win percentage on gauntlet and have some dupe Eddies you can spend quite a few SoW rather quickly. I very rarely make it to S so after winning all the rounds I could on AAA I just kept replaying one of the open levels with a single Eddie at 5 SoW a time - this burned about 60 or so SoW (hardly making a dint in the ones I've saved up since they stopped doing regular arena events) rather quickly as I had a few dupe Beast and Storm Eddies I haven't sacrificed yet. If you do this on an earlier grade without class restrictions you could probably burn a whole lot more sands even though the cost per run is lower. Again, this hits your win % but this might not matter depending on what you're aiming for in Gauntlet.
Put Celestial talismans on ANY character and the Raven's Alter gets waaaaaaaaaaaaay easier.. but without Celestials, it's a pain in the ass

I think they were available for fallen angel fragments during the LOL event.
Yeah the LOL event for frags.. I almost passed them up. Glad I didn't. Tried to get a second set but.. nope.

I've been thinking about what could solve many of this game's issues-- specifically that the servers are overloaded because too many people are logged in 24/7, which is because the OP character/talisman teams can auto-win almost anything, so to make an achievement difficult, the developers say "you have to win it 2,000 times" --which guarantees the servers will be overloaded.
The antidote to this is: really difficult dungeons that are a major pain-in-the-ass to beat. Benefit #1: Less time spent on the servers, if the rewards come from difficulty vs. repetition, because "with all characters and all skill sharded, and high end talismans" it's STILL hard to beat. Less server load means the game runs better for everyone.
Benefit #2 (observed while playing Mayan Dungeon specifically): Players that DON'T have all the characters and talismans can ALSO beat these dungeons. I'm a mid-level player and I can beat the Shaman Eddie battle (not the Necropolis one) although it takes forever, it's just ONE battle vs. running my phone for 4 hours to beat the same battle 500 times.
So in summary, what the game desperately needs are MORE really difficult dungeons. NOT achievements of "auto this dungeon all day for a week"
In this respect, the Mayan Dungeon is THE BEST feature they've released so far.
I agree with ya on this but I think they have already sorta implemented this with the airstrip/raven/mayan dungeons. Think that is the intent for them. Except you have to have a key to access them which you have to grind for to get etc etc. Unfortunately I don't think that is what they are after because it doesn't cause you to spend currency, either in game or real. 800 battles will cause you to spend ironite to refill the ToS and possibly real money if you don't have enough ironite. While a hard dungeon probably wont if you just have to beat it 4 or 5 times even if the SoT cost is 50 per run. Which sets up a dynamic for having to grind very hard locations even if it is a very limited times.
Tie into that it seems they set up for specific combinations to work the most effectively or you really have to have a specific character/talisman to successfully beat some dungeons. (Which makes me wonder wtf they have in store for the moonchild character. Which will subsequently annoy the hell out of me because of not being able to beat something because I don't have the character.)
Unfortunately I think the primary mandate the dev's are working with is; Set up the situation so players "effectively have to" spend currency in game to be able to successfully complete and move forward through the monthly events, Or that they have to spend significant amounts of time grinding through. Which sets up the dynamic of the connectivity issues and the frustration of insane and inane grinding tasks.
As far as connectivity well with an emulator on a pc the only reason not to be connected is if your restarting the game. Doesn't mean its playing the game just means its connected.

No, ironites are part of the rewards. There is no description regarding guaranteed drops.
I have played 4 daily and 1 weekly keys in last 2 days and haven't seen a single ironite drop.
Ironic or not, seems like the goal is accomplished - drops got nerfed.

I ran 18 daily dungeons key over the last 3 days. I earned a net of 250 ironite. Ironite definetly does drop. Now I have 7 weekly keys needed to be run.
I also earned at least 10 SS, some FC, and cosmic talisman frags. The dungeons are definetly worth running if you have the time. If you only run a couple of dungeons you may not see any ironite, RNG at its finest.
