When summoned, this Soul will provide a guaranteed T3 Purple Cosmic Talisman with the set-bonus of the month.

This month all Evolution Talisman Souls are guaranteed to summon a Purple Cosmic Talisman with the ability to grant the Ascension set bonus! This set bonus raises the ATK, MAGIC, DEF and MR stats of the wearer by 5%.

Note: It doesn’t matter when you earned the soul; the Talisman you will earn is determined when you open the soul, so saved up souls and fragments will change what they can give over time!

.. just throwing this out there... events, especially these, would be more engaging if they offered something less common.... i have no less than 5 cosmics currently with the Accession augment, from T1s to T3s. And I've sold more of them than I can remember (for a measly 300 gold).

This has to be the worst featured cosmic so far. I mean...why Ascension? I currently already have at least 5 of those sitting around. The Shell set for example might not have been that exciting but at least it hadn't been available through ordinary talisman souls as far as I know. Better set next time, please!

You've probably picked this up already, but the in-game news item mistakenly says the Mythic has a T2, rather than a T3.



I don't mind these event, get some extra stuff for evolving and levelling up stuff. Updating the event souls to slowly guarantee a T3 each year is nice. Although I'm still waiting for a set-effect worth opening. Glad we can save them up.

Maybe it's a good idea to wait If you're going for this. You have 14 days and they probably would release an event that requires finishing frontier dungeons. You could use those talisman on the ride-along eddie.

Following on from what people have said about the Ascension set being common, it does mean that I'm running Frozen Wasteland (Normal) with Ascensions on everything including ride along Eddies so getting 5 counts per run, which will go up to 6 when I've been through my Troopers. I haven't tested it but I would imagine that putting a normal Ascension set and an Ascension cosmic on the same character would count as 2, so you could in theory get 12 counts per run towards the 500 total, making it pretty quick.

I like these events, although the featured cosmics so far did not motivate me to use my frags. But the day will come for sure! Also I think the change that we can get different T-levels is very welcome!

@dragon: Frozen Wasteland might indeed be the best place to use these ascensions. But as rain said, it might be worth the gamble to wait a while. I am a bit excited, as I was not able to use a frozen key yet. I am not sure if that normal+cosmic combo really counts as 2. Having 2 normal sets of the same on one character did not count for missions in the past...

That's some really bad news, as I was not able (or willing) to play it yet. Man it's really tough to decide here which parts to play when they are new (frozen) or when to wait for improved rewards (many of the other dungeons).
But specifically for that 500 runs goal the easy frozen level might still be good, as it should be no problem to use ascension talis on all characters there, or?

It WAS great.. now it just sucks. But I suppose if you don't have characters or talismans for other dungeons, it's better than nothing.

Although the ascension talisman feature is not great - the cosmic itself is decent because it has HP, ATK, and Magic stats. I keep most T2 or T3 purple and above with those three stats as they are great for true or random damage dealers which many top toons are.

+1 It was too good to last... I just tried Madness to complete the event and ´cos the extra keys and nope... nope... The only good thing is with just one key (and every char wearing ascension) you can complete the task rather fast...

One lesson learned here is if you find something good, just play it play it play it as much as you can before it gets nerfed/changed... I still remember that event with The Trooper souls that got nerferd before Europe woke up...

Great to have that list of what is to come - very helpful. Rage might well be one for me and defo Serenity, Angel and Avenger. I'll save up my frags for those I think! I especially like the four sets from BNW - always used to use them in gauntlet and they are really pretty good and if they take up just one space that is even better! A shame we do not just get all of the four sets this year as I have used them all - mostly in the past but if they take one space much more use and options abound. I do like me some Quake, Zone, Rage, Lightening and Meteor and would use them way more if they took up one slot.

They seem to be incrementally introduced and I get a bunch of the new type in a row. The ones you have made available by purchase, like Redemption, are going to be added to the available list, like you did for Vampiric? More info would be greatly appreciated on this issue. The one at the moment should be #7 if I remember correctly. Can't get into the game to look it up, as I still have all the frags. Takes pretty long for a server restart, or? Rather seems to be an update.

Yep, once again I'm not going to cash in these fragments. We have yet to have an evo event of this matter where I wanted to cash in the frags as the effect just hasn't been worth.

A future update the Compendium will have a Cosmic Talisman page containing details of set bonuses available and other details.
