Moonchild gets Titan shield

Just discovered this while pairing moonchild with magus minotaur. Although titan shield icon is not showing on top of moonchild, he gets the 6-hit blue shield.
Is this a bug?

I think he gets all kinds of buffs... you just can't see them.
