This month all Evolution Talisman Souls are [b] guaranteed to summon a Purple Cosmic Talisman with the ability to grant the Rage set bonus! This set bonus gives the Talisman wearer the Rage Spear skill to use in battle. Rage Spear deals 6 hits of physical damage to all enemies, and Disables enemy Passives for 3 turns. It also Inflicts 3 Furious Burns, Heals all allies and instantly gives an Extra Turn.

Note: It doesn’t matter when you earned the soul; the Talisman you will earn is determined when you open the soul, so saved up souls and fragments will change what they can give over time!

I really appreciate that they made it a particular level "or higher" to power up and evolve. Example: evolve a 2* or higher rarity 30 times.
This is so much better than doing each star level separately.

I do know they did this for the last evolution event too, but I wanted to just state the change is greatly appreciated...Thanks Devs!

BTW, I thought about not claiming this event cosmic until another event specific cosmic, but these Rage disable passives.... and considering Disabling Passives is the name of the game nowadays. On Auto, characters use the cosmic power ability first and foremost, these really may come in handy, especially in Arena if you have T2 or T3... like my buddy Yup (congrats on all types.!)

Yep, these events finally evolutioned (?) into good ones, the talismans are starting to offer some special augmentations and you weren't so picky with the specification for evolving, so heads up!

I used a 4 set Rage on one Eddie and a Cosmic Rage on another Eddie, both as ride-alongs in the Daily dungeon, both counted towards the goal.
Yes, multiple sets of Rage talis on the same team will all count.

Why did you waste frags for completely useless talisman?

Rage is a 4-set you need only one slot for and can fit onto any character. In competitive arena (see: Moonchild) and for the purposes of grinding on Auto, yeah maybe Rage sets are a bit useless. I don't think (personally) that having more that one set of Ragers is a priority (because it's an 8-energy cost ability, how are you going to use it more than once/turn?). Buut... saving 3 Tali slots to tinker with a new power tool is a pretty nifty trick.

I can see applications for this in Gauntlet (so long as you aren't facing max. awakened moonchild).

I can see applications for this on (manual) story mode.

I can see a lot of applications for this for the purposes of Ss and Gs, and trying to set PRs for damage dealt in a turn.

Plus, Rage sets give you health and defense as well as attack, so if you've got a physical toon and you're lacking a good cosmic-T, it's not bad to have for the stats alone.

These four-sets that grant abilities may be outdated, but getting them in one small package is quite intriguing (IMO) and will change the way this game can be played.

Interesting... have occasionally wondered if there was a pattern for what cosmics need which evo materials. Is it determined by the T-value of the cosmic?

Rage is good for a character that you use for their Passive, but don't ever use their Power skill. Essentially, "better than nothing"

Actually it's not completely useless. There are a couple lower to mid level single-hit characters with crappy power moves (W CotD to name one) that rage works very well on... and now I can clear up red slots to use something else in addition to Rag e on them. In any event, Rage is WAY better than Shell or Ascension.

In addition, I still have enough frags for 1 evo soul.. and now enough frags for 1 epic evo soul.. so it's not like I burned everything.

Also it really doesn't matter if you spend the base frags now or later-- you'll still end up with the same amount of epic and mythical rollover at the same time, e.g. if you wait for a good monthly feature, you'll have to buy X number of basic cosmics to get an upgraded one.

Can't figure out how to upload images here... I am not tech savvy. (Site just says they can't be loaded...) But, check it: I took our old friend Dessert Guardian, a 3-star Sentinel Magic Specialist. Bad fit for Rage Talis, right? I slapped three random un-leveled 3-star green talis on him, a Cosmic Rage Spear (un-leveled), and a set of Warlords. (I wanted to see just how bad a choice I could make on the unit and still make this work.) I plugged in Cyborg as my Eddie to bump my power past 8 so I could Turn 1 Rage Spear (attacked a dog with Cyborg), and tested good-old Guardian out in the Boss Madness Lvl of Night City.

... oh. I also used Undead Axis Gunner, which gives my team Lifesteal. Rage Spear does six hits of Physical Damage. Did I mention that?

The result: Guardian (with < 2,000 magic, < 1,000 attack including Talis) K.O.s The Killer Beast (with his normal attack) after using Rage Spear.

Now, The Killer Beast at Night City is not, like, the gold standard of defensive units. But keep in mind that I did this with essentially three Talis, one of which was not leveled at all and was a frankly inappropriate choice for the (not classically aggressive) toon. In other words, the Rage Spear Cosmic allows anyone to do what I just did with any form of "Lifesteal" and Warlords on any character, including i.e. characters that hit with true area damage with their basic attacks and can make use of a maxed Tali's attack boost.

Still not relevant in a Max. Moonchild arena, but... there could be perks.

3 month delay, and then it will be part of the standard cosmic drops. I'll also post which cosmic talisman sets are added to the standard cosmic drops in the next update (or added to tuning notes)

Hey @Ruby_LOTB, would you please check out ticket #52433? I sacrificed an evolution talisman soul in the BOS and received a Rage Spear cosmic. Shouldn't it have been a Serenity cosmic?

The change in Talisman set bonus is when the new Evolution event appears. The date in which the Evolution event changes month to month, but it's safe to say it's closer to the middle of the month instead of the start. I'll be sure to clear up that confusion in the image
