Einherjar's Path (Dungeon) - Battle for Freya, and Bygul the Skogkatt!

The Goddess of Love, Beauty and War has landed in Legacy of the Beast.

Freya is a 5★ Sentinel who rides into battle upon her trusted Skogkatt. This noble goddess protects her team from harm by healing with each of her attacks, and removing enemy shields. Her passive ability Seidr’s Bounty will revive a random ally at the start of the player's turn for each enemy that has 5 or more beneficial effects on them. Freya will also grant Heal Amp to herself at the start of battle, and the start of your turn!



From now until April 13, 5 PM PT, battle your way through the snow and wind of Einherjar’s Path. This Dungeon comes with 4 difficulty settings and is packed with awesome rewards!

The first time you complete Normal, Hard or Madness, you will earn set rewards including Fólkvangr Souls and Dragonscale Talismans, and your first Insanity run will grant T3 Cosmic Evo Runes and Talisman Epic Soul Fragments. All subsequent victories are guaranteed to provide Sentinel Soul Fragments, and Dungeon Fragments, as well as a chance of up to 2 bonus rewards, including Forge Talismans.

Fólkvangr Souls can be earned in three ways:


Earn them as first time completion rewards in the Normal, Hard and Madness levels of the Einherjar’s Path Dungeon
Complete Event Challenges! Getting 200 fragments will earn you a Fólkvangr Soul, with up to 10 Souls that can be earned from challenges over the course of the event.
Get Fólkvangr Souls in store for Ironite in the usual bundle sizes of 1, 3, or 10.


In addition to Fólkvangr Soul Fragments, completing event challenges will grant various other rewards, including Ironite, Frontier Coins, Asgard Talismans and Forged Soul Fragments!

Forged Fragments are the event currency of the Forge of Destiny Mega Event.

Trade your Forged Fragments in the Mega Store for rare rewards including Freya Cosmic Talismans and Odin himself!

Fólkvangr Soul Details!

The Fólkvangr Soul is a limited time event soul which guarantees a 3★ to 5★ character of any class. This soul has a 2x chance of summoning 5★ non-highlight characters, and an exclusive chance of summoning Freya and Bygul, the Skogkatt.

Each Fólkvangr Soul summoned will also grant the following bonus rewards:

10 Freya Soul Fragments
10 Bygul, The Skogkatt Soul Fragments
20 Talisman Gold Red Soul Fragments


Collecting 750 Freya Soul Fragments guarantees one 5★ Sentinel Freya!

Collecting 500 Bygul, The Skogkatt Soul Fragments guarantees one 5★ Gunner Bygul, The Skogkatt! Bygul is a 5★ Gunner who can transform beneficial effects into Perfect Bleed and passively cleanses his allies when he takes damage.

400 Talisman Gold Red Soul Fragments guarantees a Tier 1 to Tier 3 Gold or Red Cosmic Talisman and 5★ Gold Idol.


Dungeon Fragment Details:

Dungeon Fragments will drop in event Dungeons. Use Dungeon Fragments to purchase items found within the Event Store Tab. You can continue collecting and building your stockpiles of Dungeon Fragments with each Dungeon event.

Please note that the items available for Dungeon Fragments disappear between dungeon events. They will reappear again with the same items available the next time a dungeon event is held.

Since these Fragments are meant to be spent in store, they cannot be converted to Precious Soul Fragments and will ‘loop’ if you claim a Dungeon Soul (if claimed, a Dungeon Soul will simply produce 1000 Dungeon Fragments, and 1 1★ Gold Idol, thus returning the fragments used to create it, and the Gold spent to summon it).

She's wearing Guard and Immortality talismans.. so after 2/3 turns she should be taking damage.. but she doesn't... not Physical, Magic, nor True damage. The only way she's been killable here is via damage over time buffs (Marks, burns, etc)

Note that Freya in ANY other level isn't an issue.. ONLY Freya in Madness seems to be secretly given some sort of damage invulnerability. Note it shouldn't be her passive or cosmic.. they don't mention ANYTHING about being immune to all damage.

All other enemies are dead.... But it's almost like celestials are blocking everything still.

She doesn't take damage for the full turn if she has heal amp at the start of her turn, even if you remove it. So she can only be killed if passive disable or perfect corruption is on her to prevent gaining heal amp. I used prisoner but for some reason she didn't get passive disabled. Then changed to Hierophant with ragnarok as thealchemist suggested.

Not to mention the rewards for clearing the dungeon 600 and 800 times are pretty terrible. It use to be that you'd get 6 event souls from clearing the dungeon and then 10 more souls via frags from achievements. Some dungeons have also rewarded frags from runs. So now its only 5 souls from frags and it takes 800 runs. So basically you have to spend a lot of ironite to grind 800 times for terrible rewards and then spend 900 x 6 for 600 Freya frags.

My feedback so far...

-Dungeons:

Nice colors and nice new chars, the last wave at insanity looks awesome!
Cheaper than I expected! 35 (XV lol) arena was really out of bounds...
The difficulty stages are fair, nothing crazy nothing stupid so far (yes I remember you double loop with brave talismans...) good work there!


-Challenges:

Clan Challenges ok! we can see a better game balance than that first crazy arena clan event you released.
600/800 goal are really poor, there aren´t too many reasons to play further... maybe only if you are looking for Forge talismans...
I still find confusing this idea that you got frags "x" for this, frag "xy" for that, it just looks like a salad of frag names... but not a big deal anyway.


-Timing

Your timing is awful as usual, and I mean it for everything... event launching, rollovers, updates implementation, etc. The event is not really playable because of the disconnection, crashes, lags and everything you already know...


General stuff

These Mega-events were mostly fair and they hook you up to keep playing the whole month, they keep you motivated and with clear goals, good! The possibility to play an infinite loop for raven altars was a genius idea, a win/win. We had a way to keep playing for earning frags, and you got a chance to sell ironite/frags/etc
BUT I still can´t see anything like that here, maybe it is just the beginning and we will have opportunities but so far:
- We DON´T HAVE options to get FREYA or the kittens, its just luck or spend ironite straight away, no chance for playing trough dungeons which allow me to handle timing/playing/ spending or not spending resources. YOU DID IT GREAT with Lad and Cosmic Lilith, what happened here?
Odin already purchasable is a nice surprise.
The game is still lagging, disconnecting and crashing. Is not anything even comfortable close to play...
The Event, Mega tabs are a mess.

So just to make sure I got that right:
We get 11 souls that give the highlight characters instead of the 16 we used to get (6 from the first wins at each difficulty + 5 from event achievements instead of the 10 we used to) and they have a 2x chance of being non-highlight toons.
The dungeon reward screen shows that we get highlight souls as rewards, but actually we get forged souls (or however they are called).
So we get less souls than usual and have less chance (fewer chances?) than usual to get the highlight toons.
So is there any merit in running insanity after the 15 assassin runs?

Also noticed I'm at 1282 forge fragments but I calculated that from completed challenges I should have at least 1775 and that doesn't include the drops from Satellite 15 either. Cmon devs if you persist with going ahead with these events knowing that things aren't working as they should, and you are already swamped with tickets so any further ones aren't going to get resolved any time soon, to me just makes you look, well a bit foolish...

New bug seems to have crept in today. I had been playing Madness on repeat for about 50 rounds. Decided I'd go for a round of insanity. Had to revive once but made it. Decided to go back to grinding madness to hit the 800 rounds achievement. Now on madness, I cannot get past Freyda. Same exact team I was running before. Force-quit the game and reloaded. Still cannot get past Freyda. Puzzling and frustrating...

** Update - I did one more force-quit and restarted the game. Seems fine now as I've been chugging through madness on auto once again...

What's the point of running this dungeon 800 times?? most rewards were already given in compensation pack, rewards beyond 300 are a joke, dungeon drops are not good (including those ridicule bits of dungeon frags), it will require 2500 insanity runs to buy an outdated talisman set with the current frag drop.

I believe the compensation pack included souls you WOULD have gotten from the repeatable clan challenges. Truth is you'll get 1 more soul if you hit 800 runs. Is 1 souls worth it.. I guess that depends on if you have Freya or how bad you want to try and gamble to get her.

I'm cross posting this here as well as in the Game Update sub-forum!

Thank you for your reports regarding the repeatable Clan challenges. Upon investigation it appears as though there were still a few issues with these challenges after yesterday's update including the fact that these event specific challenges were not meant to be repeated 20 times.

Our team has decided the simplest solution is to remove these Clan challenges entirely and to place a second compensation pack in the store to cover the event specific rewards these challenges were meant to provide.

Head to the event store to claim the Einherjar Compensation pack (and yesterday's compensation pack if you haven't already!)!

Truth is you'll get 1 more soul if you hit 800 runs. Is 1 souls worth it.. I guess that depends on if you have Freya or how bad you want to try and gamble to get her.

But if the only real reward of going until 800 runs is 1 soul... just buy that soul with 100 ironite.. I mean it would be way cheaper and faster... For me, there is no point beyond 300. The Dungeon frags are not appealing at all and Forge talismans are not so outstanding anymore. BTW I got 4 Forge from the first 150 runs and the last 100 nothing xD (all insanity)

For Gunner all you really need is Cyborg and a couple ally’s that can hold certain talismans (mainly Rags)
For Assassin it’s the typical team of Van Helsing, Max Lilith, DP Wrath and Werewolf

Hey Ceeg, tell me a reason to do the remaining 500 runs on the Dungeon, to get 150 Fólkvangr fragments on the event challenges.

1- If the forged talismans drops 1 each 300 runs or more;
2- If we are getting small amounts of sentinel fragments instead of Fólkvangr frags;
3- If doing the last 500 runs even on normal will cost me 3000 sands that means 750 Ironite in refills;
4- With that 750 ironite i can get 7 souls of Fólkvangr, instead of only 150 fragments.

Shouldn't be playing the game and making runs on the dungeon more worhty than just cashing the event?.

This, entirely. It is VERY difficult to justify ANY runs past 400... if not less. The rewards for higher run counts just aren't appropriate for the resources burned.

Face it.. the rewards for 300 runs are BETTER than the rewards for 400/600/800 runs... so.. uhm..what's the point in 400/600/800 runs? ONE Folkvanger soul?? Really??? One Folknager souls costs lese than 1 SOT mega-refill ... so.. uhm..... yeah.

Ya'll need to really rethink higher rewards. I realize you don't want new players to feel "shut out" at all, but rewards should be commensurate with effort. If some players can't reach the rewards isn't that sort of the point and a driving factor of the FOMO this app depends upon? Every single players really shouldn't be able to hit every single challenge goal for every event. It should require the building of resources (characters/talismans) to achieve higher level rewards. Much the same way you can't run Cosmic talisman dungeons until you have strong 5 star characters in a specific class.


(and please.. figure out why the Insanity level of event dungeons simply crash iOS here)

I've seen a few different teams used for this, but most of them have a set of Ragnaroks in common. I don't have a Max Cyborg yet, but I used this with only one unlucky loss.

Flight of Icarus Eddie - Lantern/Warlord/SerenityCosmic (Damage dealer mostly, can cleanse)
Caria - Riders/Aim (Mostly for aoe damage, and the fast fury build-up)
The Prisoner - Ying/Yang (Always nice to disable passives)
Yellow Ghost - Ragnarok/CosmicForStats (Debuffs, dubuffs, and more debuffs)

After completing the acheivement, swapping Caria out for DP Wrath - Starfire, made things much faster, and 100% safe (so far).

For the Assassin challenge, what seems to be killing me is not having a set of Labyrinth tali's.

I can equip assasin wolf with forge and cosmic prime and musashi with yggdrasil and his musashi cosmic. But not sure what a good set is for moon child as I do not have labyrinth. I was trying Quantums and also Starfire but neither gave me success.

I am using max Football Ed with Valhalla and a T2 Cosmic.

** Update: Ok, running Musashi with yggdrasil/musashi cosmic and werewolf with forge/prime cosmic seems to be killing it with moon child wearing quantums.

I'm running insanity o auto but I'm having a bunch of deaths due to max awakened cyborg ed getting doom every freaking round. Most of the time he clears it with fury but sometimes AI wont use it. I've tried throwing in ass anubis to prevent it but doesn't seem to work. I have tried so many combinations of moonchild, DP Wrath, Ass werewolf, VH Ed, Alchemist, Musashi, etc but the doom on ed always ends up stopping auto with a defeat. Anyone else having this problem or better yet, anyone find a solution?

If your trouble its Doom you need some serenity talisman on Cyborg (immune to silver effects) or try to put ygradssil on some of your allies. But mainly Serenity/Sacred is the most popular and powerful combination for Cyborg.

This did the trick. I was leaving Valhallas on him since I had lost my serenity talis during a recent challenge. Finally went through all my chars to find them.

Somewhere between 900-1000 runs in this shit dungeon with a good chunk across all level difficulties and not one god damn taisman. Why are the devs so cheap with them? Completing a set is impossible so why is that the case? I mean with everything else going on with this game people's patience with the game is constantly being tested. So instead of keeping us happy they find yet another way to drive us nuts.

Maybe we all read the introduction incorrectly. It's possible that:

All subsequent victories are guaranteed to provide Sentinel Soul Fragments, and Dungeon Fragments, as well as a chance of up to 2 bonus rewards, including Forge Talismans.

simply meant there were only 2 bonus rewards possible so the most you could hope for was 2 Forge Talismans no matter how many runs you completed.
If you only got 1 in 800 runs like I did it must mean that you got something else as your second bonus reward. LoL I'm being facetious. At least I hope that isn't really the case...

Is there any reason to keep the frags for the Freya Soul or the Bygul, The Skogkatt Soul or should I convert them at this point?
