Hello Troopers,

Here is the most recent update on the state of the game. We have just pushed a new server that addresses a number of issues currently in-game. We are also planning to push another client and server update at a later date with the main goal of addressing the stability issues currently on live.

The server that we pushed today addresses the following:

A correction on the drop information in the reward table for Einherjar's Path (Folkvangr Fragments were incorrectly listed as regular rewards. While these can be received as first time completion rewards and from event challenges, they do not drop in the dungeon through regular play. The Sentinel Fragments which have been dropping in the dungeon are the correct rewards and this is now reflected in the Reward table)
Fix for unawakened Odins having an incorrect passive skill. They will now gain their proper passive skill at max Awakening as advertised.
Fix for password reset emails failing to send (if you attempted to receive a new password using this system, please attempt to resend and the email should now come through)
Removing the 'repeatable' component from Clan event challenges from Einherjar's Path event. Unfortunately we were unable to resolve the issue that was preventing these challenges from functioning properly. These challenges still exist, but are no longer 'repeatable'.
We have extended the wait time between autoplays to 10 seconds. We believe that this will help reduce server load and improve playability across the game
5 event challenges that were meant to provide players with additional Folkvangr Fragments and other rewards are not appearing in the Event Challenge screen. Rather than forcing the appearance of these challenges we have simply placed the rewards players should have received from these into the compensation pack. Once claimed the Folkvangr Fragments from the Compensation pack, along with the Fragments earnable from the currently exisiting event challenges will provide a total of 10 Folkvangr Souls as is noted in the newsfeed.


The compensation pack is currently live in the Event Store. This compensation pack includes a wide variety of items meant to compensate for the issues with Einherjar's Path as well as the impact the server errors have had on Fools Errand, Nameless Nights, Eternal Sin, and gameplay in general.

We will continue to monitor the situation and hope to get our next set of stability fixes out as soon as we're able. As always, we will do our best to keep you updated.

Again, don't like that I had to start a thread for discussion on this.

Are those Forged soul frags that didn't drop for most of us going to be awarded?

Will see a way to earn the rewards that we won't get now that the achievements are not repeatable?

Personally the Grimoire and Sinful frags is a pretty pointless number for those of us who spent and finished off their frags at the end of the events. I guess I'm just converting grimoire into 50 ironite.

Still think there should have been ways to get more Folkvangr frags/souls.

Still can't run the Insanity level of the event dungeon. It crashes every single time at the end. As soon as Odin dies.. slight delay.. crash.... Never see the treasure chest drop..... Manual or autoplay doesn't matter... trooper or not doesn't matter...... crashes every single time.

When running the madness level... at this same point there's a "stutter" after Odin dies where the app sort of skips a second.... it's at this same point that Insanity crashes. Madness gets past this "stutter" about 90% of the time... but can also crash at the same point. Whatever loads right after Odin dies seems to be a problem.

Hard and Normal levels have no issue for the most part. Hard seems crash if running troopers.

It would sure be nice to be able to grind for a grind event......

I think the compensation package was decent. No complaints there. Covered the 3 events where there have been issues and provided a healthy bit of ironite.

I found the compensation pack didn't cover Raid where 2 days were lost and the post made no mention of it either (6 SoB would have been fair comp) and the current event where Forged fragments are concerned. Seeing how we need 20,000 of the bloody things to get an Odin, every one counts. I'm missing at least 500 and now challenges are no longer repeatable.

Otherwise it did address everything else and was fair in that regard. Almost got it but not quite.

I am happy with the compensation pack because the gold red frags I got from opening souls got me my first T3 red cosmic.

Seriously devs.. this can't be addressed? Only happens in the event dungeon...and primarily in the Insanity level.

Nowhere else, no frontier dungeon, no cosmos dungeon, no where else does your app crash as often. In fact, nowhere in the cosmos crashes.... guess you aren't using the same busted dungeon template for the cosmos.. and you merely repeatedly use teh same shitty dungeon template for events.

I'm gutted about those free grimoire frags. I need 1700 more to get LAD but didn't make it so I spent them.

The server seems more stable after the update but the clan challenge isn't registering. Stuck at the same number since the update

Yep, the runs are completely stuck here too (beyond that we know is not repeatable anymore, btw what happened with the rewards we didn´t receive?)

You have extended our wait time too much guys!! You really want to make us believe that this is your solution for games instability? Don’t think, we are stupid! This is just another step to take more resources and more money from us. We are waiting more than we are playing already and now you are making it even worse! Rewards and drop rates are getting worse every month! I’m really sick of it! I’m playing this game since day one and I really loved it, but slowly but surely you overstep the mark!!

They added the 10 seconds so they can mine for bitcoin for an additional 7 seconds.

Spot on GotN! I thought I was the only one noticing just how crappy event and dungeon rewards are across the board. Drop rates have always sucked, so it’s hard to tell if they are any worse. Now we have run times hampered by a ten second timer. That one is a total BS move. Not buying for an instance that that’s what it took to help their server instability.

I guess the only plus side to a lot of the lackluster event achievement rewards is the fact I am saving resources skipping a lot of them. I use to make sure I knocked everything out. Not anymore. I’ve let a lot of them expire due solely to the fact the resources required to achieve them far outweigh the rewards.

I feel like the drop rates are far more abysmal than previous events. I have sunk more than 1000 runs on mostly madness and insanity and have had 0 Forge talismans drop. It seems exceptionally awful.

24/7 farmgame but servers for 50% players is not the best way to develop more and more features.
No one asked for more and more (useless) toons, dungeons and items.

1. Update all useless toons and talismans.
2. New GUI for switching between toons & talismans
3. buy more servers

someone who works in IT, I know full well what NF are saying is BS increasing the time isn't going to have any impact on stability. Doesn't matter if its 3 seconds or 10 seconds your still going to have the same load at any given time. now what the real issue is that the updates are not tested before they are pushed for release. But the biggest pressing issue is not enough servers. buy more servers you will cut the load down drastically. do they really think we are that gullible

Same here. This must be the worst event ever! I usually almost use all my ironite. Now I'm saving it for more useful rewards

I seldom complain about bugs and gameplay, I work in a similar sector to you, devs, so I understand and share your problems, but I have to say that this solution of adding 7 seconds to the waiting time between runs, is very disappointing. Now, we are going to have less runs in timed dungeons, like LoL, Raven's altar, etc., the good solution is to add more resources, not making the users play less.

The solution is clearly not the best, and I hope it is just a temporary solution.

Definitely agree...The 7 seconds increase will really hit its toll with the frontier dungeons (especially with the next event that involves them)

On the bright side the compensation pack for the clan challenges was a nice gesture

I agree with the players above. The increase to 10 seconds is just criminal for timed dungeons. And I seriously doubt it is doing anything whatsoever for the server load.

As I said before (I know, a broken record),If this game have the instant feature (if you completed the dungeon, you can immediately spend the sand of time and get the rewards), it would have substantial decreased server load and won't have that many connection issues (and players won't have to spend days babysitting the running of the dungeons)

I'm afraid increasing the time between runs to 10 seconds won't make much difference

10 seconds is far too long. If I can complete a dungeon run in 30 seconds.. don't you think waiting 1/3+ that time to reload is too much?

The app already takes 10-20 seconds for all the victory screens and reloading. So 30 second run, then 30-40 second wait to rerun... seems backwards.

Why not try 5 seconds first? Or you could eliminate some of the superfluous end cinematics -- the treasure chest falling isn't needed, the treasure chest opening isn't needed... I get they are good animations, but they are entirely superfluous and wouldn't removing those cinematics reduce server pings? But perhaps their purpose is actually to also delay repeats...

I can see the need to limit some server load possibly, but to take what starts as a 3 hr grind and then add another hour in "wait" time is a bit extreme -- and that doesn't event factor in timed dungeons, where you've essentially removed 10% or more of the time allotment.

Any connection delays/errors I've had have ALWAYS been loading the app, when initially entering a dungeon/battle, navigating around the HUD, or PvP related. Once a dungeon is entered and grinding starts things tend to either run smoothly.. or crash constantly (like the insanity event dungeons)... For me, at least, dungeon grinding as it's running.... hasn't really ever been a primary source of connection errors/delays. I mean they can happen, but it's not where I see the errors and delays most often.
