View Full Version : Eclipse talismans deserve an upgrade!

Eclipse talismans are badly outdated for a 6 set. They only provide shroud to the wearer and it can be removed very easily by too many characters or by simply having Ragnaroks on the enemy team. It is one of the worst 6 sets. Buffing them up in some way would be great.

Eclipse is such a worthless set nowadays I probably wouldn't use it even if it was a 2 set.

6 sets should have counters for balance but as you said there are far too many for this to be a worthwhile set on any toon

What would be a good buff for them then?

Maybe make the shroud effect innate without the actual buff active. Or grant shroud to all allies every turn for one turn. It is something the devs should decide.

Wouldnt rags possibly negate that.

Wouldnt rags possibly negate that.

It would, of course. But it will still be better than what we have now.

What about Oracle? Valor? -- all the original 6 sets are pretty weak by comparison today.

It's better to have a 4 or 5 set and a cosmic. Let the old ones fade away.

My two cents on a upgrade:

- Change shroud buff from "for the duration of the battle" to "for 1 turn every turn";
- Add Perfect Immunity, also "for 1 turn every turn";
- raises all stats of the wearer in 5% every turn;
- raises all stats of all allies in 2% every turn;

Deal with removing/stealing it is a start, but it needs more than that to even match with Labyrinth, a 5 pieces set which allows cosmic talis.

Eclipse seems kind of like Asgard (so, new sets still have the issue of failing to Ragnarock). Except Asgard at least has some damage reduction and other benefits built in... and effects your whole team, if it works...

Adding damage reduction to Eclipse might be a nice touch. It would remain outdated, and hardly anyone would use it. But it would at least half-heatedly mitigate the inevitable and immediate loss of the single benefit of the 6 set.
