Duration of Gauntlet Spring Tour currency

I reached S grade and got 100 currency... or next to worthless because of the limit on the duration: 15 days. It expires before I can increase it. Why doesn't the currency cover the entire Gauntlet Tour?

You still have 2 weeks (another gauntlet round) to earn currency, so you do get another gauntlet round to increase it and then a day to spend it before it expires.

I do admit though, the amount of effort required is way over the top for the rewards. If you want 1 x T3 talisman, then you need to get in the top #100 for both gauntlet rounds. That needed over 109 wins for the first round, and then do it all again this time. It's a good job that the rewards aren't that good otherwise there would be a lot more complaints.
