LOL. The troll is brand new yesterday, tryouts for the spot went to him and the red bomber dude. Troll was a far better fit, and worked just fine at 4 stars. He's got max talismans now. This party is about done and ready for PvP. I'm going to start working on the next party today. The red party might get some talisman tweaks as I round out the new party, but no major overhauls. The red bat, hellhound, and troll are all tank builds at nearly 30,000 HP each. Samurai is of course the glass cannon build. I feel it covers almost all the bases.

Are you happy with the red troll? I still haven't decided if I should level him or my purple artillery dog to 5#s.

I'm ecstatic with the troll, getting samurai to survive that first round til his fury and buffs start to kick in is a godsend. So glad I'm rid of the blue allied crutch with this build. The synergy is amazing.
Blue allied crutch is going to be center stage in the next build tho ;)

FYI. I've started a new process with leveling up characters: I get them to 4 stars level 80, bolt on max talismans, and see if it works out. If he's good in the position at 4 stars, he'll be fantastic at 5 stars. No more "I think this toon is cool, lets upgrade him,"

Great to hear. I have enough evo shards to take 2 characters to 5*s ATM so I might just pull the trigger on this ugly guy soon! :)

I can't say if the troll is for every party, but he's certainly an excellent tank for my party.

alright... just got my 9th 3* rainbow shard and the time has come again to take one of my characters to five-star! I'm having trouble deciding between the:

• warrior Troll
• gunner Golden Son
• sentinel Mummy Eddie
• warrior (original) Eddie

Also, I have many different Golden Sons / Newborns of Light... I was under the impression that the gunner Golden Sun was the best - but is there a better one that I should consider?
I've posted this in this thread because my top choice at this point is the warrior Troll. Anyone have opinions on this?

I will choose default Eddie as his Fury is the only 100% heal block available. Good for Gunner and Sentinel Lord of Light.

I'm quite jealous of the golden sons, they all seem really good. Troll is a utility char, fills in the spot well for blue allied cheese soldier. Works great on an auto team even against the gunner boss. He's not a miracle worker, but will get you through the first round unscathed, after that, he doesn't do a lot cept tank. I'm happy I upgraded him. He's not a third in underworld for me, but he's a solid fourth in the rifts. HP build is the best one I've tested: 2 health overwhelm, 3 assassin, and 1 fierce.

There's this too. I should get on it lol. I've got basic, wicker man, speed of light, and RTTH left to go to five stars still. :/
I keep putting it off for whatever reason (no reason).
