I love Metallica, but somehow still haven't gotten around to listening to their new album. Their albums Load, Saint Anger, and Death Magnetic have helped me deal with issues in my personal life, and I would encourage anyone who appreciates Iron Maiden to give Metallica several chances. Like all truly great bands, they have changed over time and adapted several different styles. You may not like the sound of one song or album but be totally captivated by another. As an introduction for someone who's never listened to Metallica, I would recommend the songs Creeping Death, King Nothing, Fade to Black, Frantic, and their hypnotic instrumentals "Orion" and "Suicide and Redemption." If any of those appeal to you, just feel your way around to see which albums you like
