We don't know if they are changing the rare toon drop rates, but they are lowering the rare soul drop rate....
It is not confirmed if we will see any new toons or new content yet either (which is fine with me TBH).

I have 30 rare souls and about 400 regular souls. Not going to use any until the update. I can already farm with what I have and since we don't know which characters will be OP after the update I don't want to build up the wrong ones

I'm trying to start saving now. Rare soul drops are well...RARE now. Nothing for me in the dungeons yesterday or today -and the secret locations KILLED me last night. I hat 10 secret locations up and I got jack! Not one rare soul, 3* evo shard...nevermind a skill shard. I got all generic runes and shards. Kills to wait for days for a secret location and then get nada.

But I digress. I'll starting saving souls now, but it's not so easy to find them these days...

I agree secret location drops are crap. I have one got 1'skillshard in over a month. I don't see any reason for them to decrease the drop rate on rare souls because the drop rate is real low right now.

Few people has complained that,they got hurt when that heavy box dropped into their head,so they (Dev) reduced the weight of box and its content to avoid any possible future injuries,
unless you have any idea about the consequences of any legal action can be taken by the injured person,stop speculating against the game developers.:p

I don't think in all my farming I've ever gotten a rare assassin soul. Same with the regular assassin souls.

Me neither. Though I did get one from a secret location once and was thrilled even though the pull was predictably disappointing.

But I think he means you can pull a gunner or assassin character from a rare soul as opposed to just the gunner/assassin rare souls.

The problem is,
if you start discussing your private matters in the public, it won't be a private matter anymore,and i believe,after a while; everyone will find those valueless.
same way, we over discussed and exposed the drop rates and its content in the forum,if you think back,it was suppose to be secret between (you) and the dev,hence the naming of 'secret' location. :p

Well secret locations aren't very secret. I assume we all play them whenever they become available.

I noted my personal experience because I think it is relevant to the ongoing conversation being had about balancing. Rare souls drop rates are being reduced in the dungeons so the only other place to get them (other than ironite purchase) is via the secret locations. But if rare soul rate is dropping in SLs too -then we will have an issue.

Perhaps this is just my personal run of bad luck. I hope so.

Can somebody explain this to me please? What does one mean to build the wrong soul? I have simply collected about 85 active that I have been building into four and five star characters and have been converting the many many remaining souls to cash after selling the inevitable duplicates.

Is there some sort of strategy or plan that I am missing here?

I think he meant that he doesnt want to evolve charecters that are going to get a drop in stats, and that he would rather level one that is getting an up in them, so hes gonna wait till the update comes then he can build up a char.

I think most people are saving all souls until the update because:

It's a waste to sell dupes for gold.
They don't have room for any more characters.
They are waiting for sacrifice to be implemented.
They are hopping the rng will be improved.
They are hoping to be able to get some of the new characters.

I am sure there are other reasons also but those are the main ones. Oh in keeping with the topic I have 26 stacks of regular souls saved, 190 rare souls saved, and 3 rare gun/assassin souls saved. I prolly won't turn in any more souls until the sacrifice update is released, which could be a while.

I didn't have any luck going one by one in the past and then had 20 rare souls that I cashed in at once and got another 5* warrior COTD, Visions Eddie (Not much of a fan yet) and Pharaoh Eddie (Huge fan of that one!!!) At any rate, just curious what everyone's experience has been with how you cash in your souls. I have hundreds of the regular souls and every now and again when I get bored I'll see what the next 99 will bring me... just garbage and disappointment for the most part, but with the 3* rare souls I'm waiting until I reach 99 and see if I can pull something fun. Thoughts???

Don't get your hopes so much up about opening them all at once. You'll probably get the same not worthy 3*'s you were to get opening them one by one, as most people said in this forum. Every native 5* I had was from single rare souls btw,never stacked anything.

I still kind of believe (after opening souls since the first week the game came out) that some accounts, for some reason are more likely to get certain characters, compared to others. I can't really base this to something specific, other than getting an extreme amount of duplicates, both in the case of 3 as well as 4 star characters, whereas some others leaving me with the feeling that have been evading me since the beginning (is rocket dog that hard to obtain?).
Maybe it's my impression, i can't say i'm not satisfied wit the drops i have received in this game and probably what i'm saying doesn't really make much sense, but would be very interested in finding out more in regards to the mechanics of summoning...
