Ironite: Hourglass upgradeso for farming, or rare soul packs?

Like the topic states, I have been spending the 675 accrued Ironite on the mega rare soul packs, and naturally becoming disappointed with the dupes. Is anybody still buying the mega packs and using or saving them, or are these simply used for more farming?

Im feeling inclined to skip the packs and see if I can get out of the talisman desert and get one out of three star status for once

Well if you need rare souls and you can farm every time rift dungeons (at least lvl 7) no matter what class is open, is way better buying sands of time refills, heres the explanation:

A sands of time refill costs 30 ironite and assuming you have the maximum limit of 80 SoT, that means you can play 10 games of the time rift dungeons (8 SoT per game) the rare soul drop is kind of 1 drop per 12 games (at lvl 10 for me) so is nearly 1 rare soul per refill, that means 1 rare soul costs 30 ironite. If you buy the pack it costs 675 ironite per 10 souls, then the cost of 1 soul is 67.5 ironite, twice the cost if you farm the dungeon and finally farming the dungeon you have the chance of gaining SoT (means more games), ironite (more refills), 3* evo shards (more 5* chars) and regular souls (save them for the future sacrifice feature).

Your numbers are slightly off due to the refill rate that comes naturally and the random hourglass won, but I agree with your logic.

I didnt state it, but i said 1 drop per 12 games aprox. Those 2 extra games are provided by the time natural restore and the hourglass gain or just another ironite refill if your luck is really bad.

Why buying souls at all... didnt saw something useful dropping out of rare souls for about two months

I really don't see a reason to by rare souls right now as that drop ok from the rift. That could change after the update but right now the best strategy is to buy sands for farming.

Im for sure done spending souls until either I hit the inventory limit, or the drop rate of decent characters changes.

Sands refill. 98.9% chance to get trash from rare souls, so better farm talisman upgrades.
