Poll is simple. We all know that more people are likely to dish out cash and keep playing if they are having fun. Add your opinions below if you wish.

I am not sure yet. Talisman upgrade is more easy now, so is character upgrade.
Got 5 or 6 chars to 5* level since the update, whereas i needed one week or more to upgrade
only one char before the update.
Rare souls drop is disappointing now, wish they compensated that with only summoning 4 or 5*
chars with those.

More fun as I can evolve talismans in a reasonable amount of time so the admin overhead of swapping them round

Less fun as the stacks of souls build up due to a lack of slots to open them into, the rare souls stack isn't growing at an acceptable rate and I'm bored of grinding without reliable autoplay.

On balance I'm sticking with it for the moment but new content would be appreciated.

About the same, which was always enough fun to keep me going

I feel like the grind preupdate nearly turned me off this game completely. I'm having trouble doing anything more than using my troopers ATM. Hopefully that changes.

For me, it's less fun. I've hit a wall with crashes and evo shard/rune drops. The shuffling of where things drop was just a huge waste of time to me. If the game continues down the nerf path, I won't be around much longer.

Just wait until you guys get low on low star evo runes and have to farm lower difficulty stuff. That grind is ridiculously boring. So I either get competely bored, or can't advance because of crashes.

A little bit less fun, but not much. I am now at a point where I really need to improve my talismans and evolve Eddies/Allies to finish the campaign, and it feels like an awful lot of grinding, with red evo runes and coloured 3* evo shards being major bottlenecks. I do not mind that the game has gotten more difficult due to talisman and character nerfs, but it is frustrating that any strategy to mitigate these changes relies on replaying levels over and over just to get a chance at the materials I need.

In all the months I have been playing, I have gotten a total of 5 gunner 3*evo shards. Ever. My Soldier Eddie is stuck at level 80 for weeks. I play the dungeons, I play the secret levels, every single day. What more can I do? The store has evo packs but they only contain 1* and 2* coloured shards and those are now plentiful. There is no option to use ironite or gold to buy other shards or runes, or buy from other players. That's not fun.

I still enjoy the highs and lows of opening souls and the tough battles (when they dont crash) can still be interesting. I look forward to new levels coming, I just hope I can upgrade my team in time to be ready for them.

This sums it up pretty well for me. I actually don't mind the nerfs - we're all on the same playing field with those, and they did help to do some balancing - and the fact that 3* Rainbow runes now drop with some regularity helped level some Talismans

But while the update solved some problems, it introduced others. I can't upgrade any more Red Talismans because the drop rate on the red 2* Evo runes is a limiting factor, and character evolving will basically stop. Why? Having the bottleneck 3* colored runes drop ONE day a week with a stingy drop rate has basically stunted it

This game is like my crazy girlfriend. It was love at first sight and things were great. Then I spent some time with her and found out she had lots of flaws. But I worked hard and found out how to get around her baggage and glitches. And I stuck by her side and spent lots of money on her, then she had a split in her personality and now is different. But I still love her and I'm going to stick with her. In hopes that she'll be that perfect girl for me, it'll just take some time. So to answer your question idk 💀

Haha, I can totally relate. However in my experience, it all comes crashing down abruptly to a crazy end. Both with the analogy and in RL.

Probably about the same. Yeah, I can actually have 5* characters now, but there still isn't much of anything new to do yet otherwise. Fun would be a Halloween tie in event, y'know? Pumpkin Headed Eddie or some seasonal minions, maybe.

About the same for me. Grind to live... live to grind!

I have a couple of 5* (mostly Eddies unfortunatelly) and several 4* and the update didn't make anything harder for me when it comes to combat, just... different. I find myself using different characters than before. Progression however has more or less halted since then. Before the update I had done three stars on the first 2-3 levels of Underworld Hard and managed to pass a couple of levels more after that (Jesus christ the curve is steep right there). Now I'm 3 star on the first 4 levels and I have beaten the double bosses. But there's the next brick wall and I am not at all looking forward to the beast.

Before the update I was hunting rainbow shards to progress, everything else was more or less flowing in at a regular pace. Now the coloured *** ones are a fucking drag beyond belief.
I can not auto floor 7, but if I play it I always win. Floor 8 however is a toss up, depending on what colour it is and what troopers I take aid from it is easier or harder, but never a sure thing and some times really luck dependant. With ironite I've done all colurs up to and including 8, but that simply is not a sustainable way to farm anything, and besides, the way I read the update it is not an increasing curve for 3* it's just higher for floors 7 to 9 and highest at 10. Or?

I've never even looked at this board before the update, but I started reading about then and followed the long ass one while the update was going on with all the bugs and kinks that were happening and in general I think the update was good (I didn't loose much since I had nothing special, and I agree with the idea behind it), but this also means I have been "gut"-playing so I have made a lot of dumb choises both with skill shards and talisman leveling, feeling that if I spread my odds at least I won't suck anywhere. The problem now is that I perhaps don't suck, but I am not good enough anywhere either. I know this isn't the end of the world, but it is tedious. This game is full of breaking points where you either can or can't do what is required to be efficient and it is built to be a challenge. Unfortunatelly this means that if you can't do what you are supposed to you are stuck with an embaracing amount of grinding that is hardly even fruitful until you can pass that break point.

Having all that said I love the game and I was playing EQ from Velious so I know all about incessant grinding and kind of, well... don't like it, but appreciates what it does for longevity.
My biggest problem with the game is that it seems to be very min/max. Everyone who doesn't like walking into brick walls should spend a mandatory 8 hours on these boards reading up on characters and talisman combos before they even know what they are to have a chanse to get ahead.

The community seems very nice though, so there's a plus =)

Oh wow, talk about a bad flashback... I had 9 years on the same DE SK before I was finally able to cut the cord. Fabled camps in Lower Guk will always have a special place in Hell as far as I'm concerned.

Oh dang... they are doing a holiday event now! Hot dog! I'll admit, I'm pleased by this.
