Although most of us here have really enjoyed the update and are thankful the devs brought out something new and fresh, the fear of the dark missions have really been a complete waste of time.

After completing the missions for the first time and receiving some great loot, spending 10 SoT on a minuscule chance of receiving a rare soul is substantially worse than playing the time rift. Even after playing fear of the dark madness well over a hundred times, I am yet to see a rare gunner/assassin soul or a skill shard!

At least with the dungeons, one has the chance of getting 3* evo shards and 5* shards to level characters for less SoT. To receive a 1* rainbow evo rune after spending 10 SoT is truly an insult.

Please devs, increase the drop rate of premium loot for the remainder of the event to make the fear of the dark missions worth the time and effort.

I got a few rare souls in over a hundred runs but also no Gunner/Assassin soul and no Skill Shards ...

I really don't want to complain at all as I got some really great stuff from this update but I also see the point that some people must be frustrated with the drops in the Halloween event. One 1* Evo rune for talismans is really not great considering one invested 10 SoT ... :)

But that update also went through my stash ... all souls gone, Ironite is low but I could harvest a good amount of gold ...

I don't want to complain either, but these poor drops in Fear of the Dark, is this how it was supposed to be? Or is it a bug that can be fixed?

some bugs i have noticed - grim reaper : harvest - does not drain power from enemy team only increases your power. fury : will not revive if the opponents are killed with the fury move. Also, green golden son s heal shield does not work - does not heal

This game is taking up a lot of room all of a sudden. I am not sure how much space it was eating up before the update from a few days ago, but now it is clocking in at 1.6 gb, 1.4gb under documents and data on my iOS device. Is this supposed to be that way?

Thank you for your thorough response. I will be sure to share it with the team when we're all back in the office.

What I can say myself is while we are adding new characters as fast as possible, and at all kinds of rarities, the fact of the matter is people are easily getting hundreds of souls every week, and in some peoples cases dozens of Rare Souls or better (especially at a time right now, where many long term players have gotten hundreds of ironite from limited time packs and achievements, plus other Rare Souls from achievements + the event location). We allow players to get way more souls than there are characters, so it's impossible to not end up with lots of duplicates.

While we really want to get something like Sacrifice out as soon as possible, we ultimately feel that needing more activities is also really important, which is why we wanted to do something like we've done for Halloween. It's a difficult balance, though, and everyone involved (you as players and we as developers) want to do more, and do it faster, and do it better... but there's only so much time in the day.

No problem, anytime... That's OK to have the duplicates - everybody has them as it's hard to avoid... Yet I am speaking not about duplicates in general, but duplicates within one rare souls pack... If you're getting 4x the same character of total number 10 of them is way too many, especially if you need to use 675 ironities/or real money in your currency... So... If you set prices at desired (by you devs) level, please make your product/offer valuable but not because of the price - yet because potential buyer/your customer CAN GET in real...

You're acting like you just been interested in short term income... Please be aware that lower prices generating greater demand for any product/service in longterm period in general... This is basic and simple economy... You know why? Because if the price is set not too high people not being afraid to RISK THAT MUCH, even if not getting what they want, they will be trying...

But if you set price for about 100Ä for some souls, gold, ironities, skillshards (everything can be acquired FOR FREE using other options) and one and only thing valuable is legendary soul through which you can get 4* Rock Golem (mine obtained from activities gave me this ''legendary'' character - in what kind, such character is legendary anyway? This means something exceptional, amazing, outstanding, unique, one of the kind to me... Like Iron Maiden for example... Can you compare these two really? Rock Golem is not an Eddie, nor great Ally - simply USELESS... So... if you DARE to say something's legendary, so be it! '''So it shall be written, so it shall be done'' - to quote some classic... But OK blame my bad luck - I could give another try, but not for such price, sorry... Besides... Afraid to shoot another golem afterall...

I thought that I coud show my gratitude to you for giving me that much cool items for free, that actually might be buy something, yet it happen not possible... Saving your souls by taking your money? As it goes for my activity... I play A LOT daily, giving all trooper points, clearing achivements, secret places, dungeons, spending a lot of ironities to refill Sands of Time... Already being at lvl. 90 - of course can't stand with those above that level... Yet in my opinion I AM pretty much involved to the game... And still can't get Fear Of The Dark Eddie... I know that everything is about to luck - yet from my perspective is NOT fair... I can't get not a single one, other can get four of 'em - because having ''luck''...

I was very much PLEASED and HAPPY while could get Grime Reaper Eddie off clearing some tasks listed upon achivements section... Cool! I took my time and some efforts, did what's needed to be done - and that's my reward... Fair and square... And that's should be - the game SHOULD BE rewarding players who really trying their best and making fun of play... Achivements - fantastic move! But with this FOTD Eddie? Greater chance? Again - what you mean by ''greater chance''? It's seems that everybody having the similar chances to get it, yet some have more greater than others and statistically everything's correct again...

But - still - make happy everyone who participates in such event, at least try, ok? Make even some hard requirements, yet please DO make the Eddies being available through some achivements, not some blind luck!

Hey! First of all, I'm enjoying this update... a lot. I stopped playing a while back and to my surprise, some changes made the game better, which is a lot to say.

BUT, the legendary soul is still a joke. By no means someone should get a pyro soldier or some other same tier character from it.

What I would do is, allow legendary souls to give ONLY 5*s non Eddie characters or 4*/above Eddie characters. Or even create an "inside" tier discrimination value and remove pyro soldier, soulless demons, the magus dog and every other low tier characters from the legendary soul.


Regarding FotD Eddie, I've opened at least 20 sentinel souls alone, without counting rare souls, and I got 5 FIVE green soulless demons.


Either way, I feel that the game is back on its course. Hope to see it get better.

I don't think we'll be able to make further changes to this event while it's running right now, but we're taking into account the feedback and participation from you and others for future events.

This is definitely new ground for our operation of the game at Nodding Frog, so we're really open to suggestions and thinking about how we can do this kind of thing better (including making new kinds of reward structures that more people find appealing).


Maybe the cool drops were the reward for completing the event first time in each difficult only? Because after the first play I got absolutely nothing the event promisses. If that's the case, please devs next time say it clear...

Rare Souls, Rare Gun/Assassin Souls, Skill Shards, and Vampiric Talismans are all possible to farm (with varying degrees of rarity) in the difficulties they're noted to drop in in our full screen images in-game/in the first post of this thread. Anecdotally, I've had reports of all of those dropping past the first time clears (once we fixed the issue of things sometimes not dropping at all for the first few hours that the event was live), so nothing is missing from the drop tables.

We've logged the bug internally for Harvest
We cannot reproduce the Fury bug you noted... perhaps you didn't notice that a character that wasn't revived was killed with Permadeath?

There's a lot to digest here, some of which I've touched on earlier in the thread, but a few quick points based on your comments:


The starter Rock Golem never drops as a 4 star (he's a nat 3). You might be confusing him with the Sentinel Soulless Demon, which is something of a sleeper hit for everyone I've heard who's played around with him
We plan on experimenting with pricing, but obviously if we release something at a very low price point and it performs poorly, we're in a situation where people will complain if we raise the price to somewhere that performs well, or having to stick with a very low price point that hurts the long term viability of the game. There's a difficult balance here to strike that works best for the most amount of players while still letting us keep the lights on... despite what might seem intuitive, a race to the bottom in pricing does not always work (ironically a side effect I've seen my entire career in mobile gaming, which spans the history of the Apple App Store)
By activities, we mean different things you do in the game... different dungeons to challenge, new types of game modes to play (competitive, like PVP, or cooperative, like massive Trooper battles). Limited time battles like what we're doing this Halloween are one possibility, but maybe in the future there'll be unique daily challenges, or a new kind of minigame for improving talismans... we don't want the game to feel monotonous if you've been playing for months.
On the subject of random (Fear of the Dark Eddie from souls) versus consistent (Grim Reaper Eddie from achievements), we want to have both as options in the future, or in some cases hybrids between such approaches (more common "shards" of characters you can more easily measure progress on instead of a rare chance of get it or not). Different things engage different players; we don't want to focus on one kind of player to the detriment of others, but there will always be trade offs, regardless of what we do.

Unfortunately, right now we don't have a good way of communicating the full extent of what's possible within a soul. We do have ideas in the future of souls that have a much more limited pool of characters, but I definitely see where you're coming from. Even then, the perceptive value of some characters is not something everyone agrees on, but I still see how maybe Legendary Souls could be adjusted based on what the most obviosuly cool dudes are. I would hate for them to become known as the "Carriage Rider/Fear of the Dark Soul", though. Perhaps once we've sufficiently filled out those higher rarities with more Eddies and high-profile Iron Maiden characters (from our game and from the band's rich history).


Either way, I feel that the game is back on its course. Hope to see it get better.

I like the event idea. The level and artwork are cool. Having limited characters is a good idea. I couldn't bring myself to play it anymore after Saturday though. I did get a few rare souls and talismans,but the junk! If you didn't get a rare soul it was total garbage. Mostly only one item of trash. 1* items on madness for 10 sot? I would still be farming the event if it didn't have the junk drops. Not everything has to be great but at least 3* on madness, and two items or even three like LoL. make the limited level exciting to play. It's only there for a few days anyway

Well, since I would trade my whole inventory for skill shards, would it be possible to add five skulls/goals instead of three, and then i.e if you get 4/5 in one try you get some colored 3* evo shard, and 5/5, or three times in a row 5/5 (of course, Use only basic abilities and Use 5 Power abilities could not go together :P) and you get a Skill shard, 'cause I think they are the most powerful weapon now, besides tactics? Or something like that, or some prizes of equal level?

Also, I am actually soooooooo glad that you are actually thinking about massive Troopers battles, that is one hell of idea someone mentioned in a Facebook group few days ago... And also that one would maybe ask for training court.

If it was like, 1 skill shard guaranteed in 30 battles that cost 10 SoT, I would gladly use all 2200 of my Ironite on refills without single regret given :D

I agree with the perceptive value, but I think we can all also agree that the Sentinel Soulless Demon, the Sentinel Bomber Boy or any of the Pyro Soldiers are not "Top Pics", even more when you have 4 or 5 of them (I got one of those from my legendary soul).

I know you are working on a "Sacrifice" feature, so I will wait for that. But you can imagine what we are going to do if we sacrifice a Soulless Demon only to get the same character with the new soul.


As for the last part I guess I have to thank Nekro for that... He's kinda scary though. He used to be a really nice guy. LOL



When I re downloaded the game I decided to give this new team a chance, free from the previous mistakes. I have to say that you did a great job so far. I always felt that this game has a great potential, even for non Maiden fans.

Now it's up to you to make it great again ;).

You want a FREAKING strength safeguard talisman? do A,B,C and D or sth.

Right now getting Holy and especially strength talismans is a tragedy .
If you eventually get them, and you wanna evolve them....getting runes is Ancient Greek Tragedy :p

maybe one thing to consider...

since many people have problems to purchase real money buyings in the store, it would be an option to extend the duration of the helloween-spacial till the end of the week.
from a business point of view it's really ironic, that you managed it, that people want to invest real money in the game, but they cannot do this due to some problems.

this touches really my sense of humor, but it's not good for the future development of the game, since you guys are not working for free i guess ;-)

if you fix the purchase problems and extend the helloween event (maybe even with better drops in the special-levels), money will flow in your direction i bet :-)

Let me ask something a bit different (still on topic,since this thread includes character and skill tuning): Sparton, are you aware of some nerfs performed to the burn ability? i have played countless battles since the halloween update. i can say with quite a certainty, that the proc rate is near to nothing now and the "applies up to 3 burn marks" feature, introduced in the previous character tuning update doesn't work AT ALL. if it ever procs it only applies 1 burn mark as it was in the old days.
I know, you will say that you are not aware of any changes being done and that it works as intended, but maybe something slipped the net with all those "internal lock ups" of vamp,lifesteal and other abilities. Please have a closer look at it,since it has worked for only a couple of days and now it's screwed again.
All this 1 step forward 3 steps back updates are slowly beginning to wear on me :(

The apply up to 3 burning effects was referencing to Burning Talisman. I've been using them since the update and it works great.

But do note a bug that Angel of Fear extra turn does not happen when enemy is killed by the burning effect (and prob any other effect).

Did anyone got more than 3 BT DoTs after the Halloween patch?
I had a lot of fun with my firestarter Golden Son (3 Burning Talisman sets). After the latest patch they only apply 1 per set respectively max 3 instead of 3-9. Not sure if this was an error or is a nerf/fix.
They are still fun :)

Yes mate...that's exactly what im talking about. the talismans. i forgot to mention it, my bad (ofc it doesn't include skill burns).
but as the gentleman above me mentioned- i also have them on my warrior golden son (just 1 set though), and before he was really a mad firestarter! But since the event it procs veeeeeeery rarely and when it does, it only applies 1-3 marks instead of 3-9 (never got 9...max was 7). Sadly this amazing combo only worked for a few days before being "ninja nerfed" again.
And of course it doesn't proc the bats extra turn,since the burn marks are applied at the "end of the turn"(in a MTG dictionary), that's not a bug.
So is it maybe just the multi hitters?

Really want this pack. I've been checking the play store for an update with a fix every couple of hours but nothing there yet :(

Now I am in the boat where I want to buy rare souls with ironite but having a 100/100 inventory is making me not spend anything. There's have to be a solution for this, 100 slots for your characters is not enough ...

So far i havent experienced much of the update, only a failed madness FOTD run...

Can someone sum up what is a good change and what is bad? Should i start using my new grim reaper (Hell yeah free eddies ftw!) Or should i do something else?

Also should i open my shit ton of free souls from the new achievenents? (Btw hell yea! Free souls and 1000 ironite!)

I just played 11 rounds in level 10 warrior lord of light, and didn't get a single 3* red Evo shard. Did the drop chance for these lower in this latest update? I figured after 11 runs I would get at least one.

i dont think that the drop rate can be lowered anymore than it is now :D
But i did get 3 shards today in about 20 runs today, so they still drop. RNG can be a real son of a bee...

It sounds like, as of a few hours ago, the administrative hell we found ourselves in has been resolved, and players on Android can now make purchases again. Please let us know if you run into any issues with purchasing in case it's not fully solved and there's something systematic still plaguing us.

That's weird, our adjustment for the Burning Talisman got stomped in our codebase. We will fix that for a subsequent update.

Yeah, damage over time status effects are considered "neutral", so if that kills something, that doesn't count as one of your characters killing something. They need to taste that blood to trigger Shadow/First Blood.


Now I am in the boat where I want to buy rare souls with ironite but having a 100/100 inventory is making me not spend anything. There's have to be a solution for this, 100 slots for your characters is not enough ...

It's working for me now and I love what I got. I did have to force stop LOTB and restart LOTB to get it to work.

It works on physical attacks and only the first 2 rounds of combat. But since I'm made this combo team it doesn't work at all. From my understanding the AG and RRD should be healing themselves on the first 2'rounds of combat when they hit. Can you you please take a look at it.

Lifesteal doesn't functional at all right now due to a bug we missed when submitting the last update.

In the next server push, it will function again, but it still will not function with any of Grim Reaper Eddie's skills, because all of his skills (and his Fury) do magical damage, which won't trigger healing from Lifesteal.

Similar thing with Spell Vamp (including Grim Reaper's own Spell Vamp, where the status effect doesn't currently function, but will for magic damage attacks once the next server push goes out).

I did know that GR wouldn't trigger life steal was just reporting the team I was using.

Ah, k, I figured you did, it's just it's a confusing subject with the way we introduced Vampiric Talismans at the same time, so I wanted to make sure others reading the thread were aware (I think my description would be more likely to confuse people... but oh well).


I have to ask any info on exra space or sacrifice?

A short term fix for extra space was recently verified by QA, so it'll go out in one of the next server updates (at or after the end of the Halloween event, which was extended to November 3rd). Extending the various inventories to a more future-proof size and adding the sacrifice feature will come later.

Yeah, a lot better in that regard. This Gunner has the Pharaoh Sun Spirit heal RISE ability too.

Now gold is good, 3* rainbow evos are more common and we have some new content!

For mine, there are only a couple of minor 'drop' tweaks left:

- As you can get 3* evo shards in the cosmos, I find I have a plethora of them and never enough coloured evo shards... Maybe you could reduce the number of 3* evo shards in the LoL dungeons then, in lieu of the coloured evo shards? That way, you still have to wait to the appropriate day and work through LoL to get your toons to 5*, but it would at least balance the relative numbers of coloured v rainbow evo shards

- 2* evo runes (both rainbow & coloured, but mainly rainbow). I feel like they're rarer than hens teeth at the moment! The last update said that the drops are based on overall progression. But I am finding it very difficult to get enough. Got plenty of 3* evo runes, 3* rainbow evo runes are tight (but thats OK imo) - But 1 & 2* evo runes are badly needed.... Meanwhile, I've got more evo shards than I know what to do with! Maybe a slight tweak to swap some of the evo shard drops with talisman equivalents might be good?

As a general rule for all skills; if a skill says it scales with X stat, it means it scales with whatever that damage type would scale with and with that stat. So yes, his physical attacks all scale with attack and defense. That said, it doesn't mean that the attack scales evenly between all those stats... you may want to play around with having more attack or more defense from your talismans to find the balance between damage and survivability you want.

Ask yourself this question: What would be the point of having talismans in this game, if all the damage types would scale off the base stat?
That would mean that character level would be the only thing that matters, no matter how hard you work on leveling your talismans. And once you reach 5* lvl100 your character does the highest damage and everyones character does the same damage?

Still i'll try to explain it to you:
Physical damage scales of the characters Attack- the base (white one,determined by that characters level) PLUS any values added by talismans and their abilities (blue)

Same thing for magic damage, scaling off your total magic/true damage scaling off of atk+magic...and so on


And then there are characters with the trait "scales of your Special/Defense,etc.", where the damage scales off of the primary stat for that type of dmg (physical-atk,magical-magic,...) PLUS a certain percentage of that secondary stat.

So in case of FOTD Eddie:
His physical damage scales of his attack PLUS a percentage of his TOTAL Defense.
The problem with this kind of characters is, that noone knows the exact formula for this scaling. Meaning that you need to try to equip this char (EXAMPLE) with a set of Strenght talismans-maxing his attack and then with a set of Iron talismans-increasing his defense. And see what gives him higher damage. And that is individual for each character, so you need to try both options for each separately...

If it was like you presumed from the base you couldn't call it SCALING, since it would be a certain value determined by the characters level. In that case it would say something like "adds 10% of you defense"...
Hope that makes any sense (i rushed it a bit)

There's a lot to digest here, some of which I've touched on earlier in the thread, but a few quick points based on your comments:


The starter Rock Golem never drops as a 4 star (he's a nat 3). You might be confusing him with the Sentinel Soulless Demon, which is something of a sleeper hit for everyone I've heard who's played around with him
We plan on experimenting with pricing, but obviously if we release something at a very low price point and it performs poorly, we're in a situation where people will complain if we raise the price to somewhere that performs well, or having to stick with a very low price point that hurts the long term viability of the game. There's a difficult balance here to strike that works best for the most amount of players while still letting us keep the lights on... despite what might seem intuitive, a race to the bottom in pricing does not always work (ironically a side effect I've seen my entire career in mobile gaming, which spans the history of the Apple App Store)
By activities, we mean different things you do in the game... different dungeons to challenge, new types of game modes to play (competitive, like PVP, or cooperative, like massive Trooper battles). Limited time battles like what we're doing this Halloween are one possibility, but maybe in the future there'll be unique daily challenges, or a new kind of minigame for improving talismans... we don't want the game to feel monotonous if you've been playing for months.
On the subject of random (Fear of the Dark Eddie from souls) versus consistent (Grim Reaper Eddie from achievements), we want to have both as options in the future, or in some cases hybrids between such approaches (more common "shards" of characters you can more easily measure progress on instead of a rare chance of get it or not). Different things engage different players; we don't want to focus on one kind of player to the detriment of others, but there will always be trade offs, regardless of what we do.

Yes, you're right - my mistake - I am sorry - just remembered that it had 4* and was green - sold already to make a room for other characters... But the point is still valid nevertheless - such stuff like Souless Demons, Golems, Pyro Soldiers, Axis and Allied Bomber Boys etc. shouldn't be legendary - because the are NOT like that... Sure thing, they are solid, fine more or less - this depends on players personal tastes as well, but that's it... And EVERY Eddie is legendary with no doubts - cause this is Eddie - and it speaks for itself, both Generals are legendary because their unique abilities - everyone can confirm that, right? You guys did bunch of fine characters to choose from - so like I said already - if you say something's legendary and you mean it please make it worth being...

I am sorry if sound a bit harsh, yet always trying to say what I think - but the race up with the prices when your product is faulty, with bugs, mistakes etc. is not good either - I think that we are all clear about it... I know the value of the money - cause I earn them - and IF I decide to spend them on your game I am maybe not demanding (too strong word) but more than expecting a top class product... While top class are just the prices - this is not good for anyone - either us, the players (customers if you wish), either you - the game producers, devs etc.

50$ for a skill shard? While for that price I can have almost every game on PS3 that I wish? Yes, those were prices from your store... I know that these resources are rare within the game, but c'mon... And that's just one example straight off head... I appreciate that you made the game for free to play - but be straight - what would happen while EVERYONE would be playing for free? You would go down and be forced to close your business, don't you?
Point is - if you set the prices as high (please be aware that your game is played on the entire planet cause Iron Maiden has their fanbase everywhere, even in poor countries... Not everywhere is like in the Western Europe or U.S.A. where majority of people being more or less wealthy... So please spread the prices a bit - and try to offer little more, for little less - that's good advice - if you set ''bonuses'' where I have to pay more for more - it's no ''bonus'' really...) so make the offer be worth the money... But worth for us, players... It's just a matter of each others' respect... And care for customers...

Idea with Haloween event was great, yet the Shadow Of TWM secret location (madness) is some kind of mistake, truly - again I am speaking for myself and off my perspective - yet I have got NOT A SINGLE ONE skill shard or rare soul - even for first playthrough - vampiric talismans and other stuff - that's right, but not these I said... I've played it long enough later on - and EVERYTIME got 1* evo shard... And such ''great'' prize wasn't mentioned in your ad somehow... Again... Care for your players? Or just their money?

Had to sold quite a lot souls I kept for exchange called ''sacrifice''... Even got a gold I treat it as a loss - had to make some room for a new characters (and so new duplicates...)... Please make sacrifice possible ASAP, I mean it... I don't want to waste my money now to expand slots even more... I would like to use them to develop my characters... On the other hand I am afraid to do so... Not wish to play ''Nerfacy Of The Beast'' again...

Some good for the end... I've got it, man! Today's morning when everyone were sleeping (at least in Europe LOL) I decided to take my chances and give myself a try... Managed to buy 9 sentinel souls off my TP (would have been more but I exchanged them for skill shard just before the event) and stashed them for this occassion... Beside this I had 1 G/A soul and 1 plain rare... First try - G/A soul - Wicker Golem - Cool as I didn't have this, 2nd - rare soul - Green Pumpkin - So I was pretty amazed - two rare characters off two souls and those I haven't got so far? (Earlier I've got blue and red pumpkins off rare souls) So... I thought that either game has to broken or this is my lucky day/night LOL And took the risk... When saw Eddie's red eyes smiled, yet no with excitement yet - and then I saw - white guy with red eyes, cool haircut and black claws... Was so happy I wished to scream - but I couldn't as it was the day just arising - my neighbours wouldn't share my joy for sure LOL

Besides this off green souls also got - another green pumpkin and 4* Allied Bomber Boy (another one in the inventory) - but this is quite nice and allowed myself to thank you making some shopping in your store...

P.S. I need some stone overwhelming talismans - I've read someday that these now only popping in secret places... Is that true? I've got couple but wards... And waiting for the overwhelming would take ages, considering the fact that secret locations are not opened daily in general...



Resuming - game has the chance to be superb as the Iron Maiden is, but couple things has to be fixed/improved/rethinked...

Either way - I AM moderately happy...

I would be happy if we could get some consistancy on the 1 star and 2 star red Evo Ruins. I can't seem to get them anywhere.

I'll be looking at tweaking the odds of certain evo shards and runes to help balance the quantities you get so lower-rarity ones are not bottlenecks as often once able to farm for 3 star ones within the next few weeks or so. I just haven't had a chance to sit down and crunch numbers to ensure we're hitting an appropriate ratio yet (partially due to getting this event going, and the next event going, and helping spec out quality of life improvements, and supporting PVP, and... well, there's a lot of things coming up I'm involved in).

Similar thing with getting 3 star colourless evo shards compared to 3 star coloured evo shards. We're still appraising where new players and long term players are most commonly getting these to ensure we don't make something a bit easier for long term players but a horrible slog outside the reach of newer players just trying to get their first few 5 star characters.

As I noted in my response on the subject to Gonzo earlier in the thread, I definitely see where you're coming from for Legendary Souls, but it's still a matter of us only having a fraction of the characters we want to eventually have, and I don't want to strip out characters to the point where you're getting Carriage Rider Eddie and Fear of the Dark Eddie the vast majority of the time (because those are the only "legendary" characters at the lowest rarity that soul gives).
We're looking at providing prices at all levels that can help us sustain the game, and we're looking at alternative models we can introduce into the game which will not harm the experience for players but also let them get "premium" rewards without relying on in app purchases.
It's $50 for 3 skill shards (not just 1), plus a lot of ironite that you could turn into souls/energy refills/revives/etc, plus gold, plus an XP boost. Clearly in addition to smaller scope bundles at lower costs we need to work on the communication of some of these bundles...
The communication from players has been pretty clear about the random nature of the rewards, but it's been interesting to compare that to the amount of silent players who are happily pouring buckets of sands of time into farming the event stage. We recognize that a different mechanism for rewarding will be more interesting for more players, but are tied up by what is possible with how the game functions right now with how we can dole out valuable rewards at an appropriate pace.
Overwhelming talismans should be just as likely as the other subtypes for that class of talisman. We don't make secret locations the exclusive place for subtypes of talismans right now; only the location for certain types of talismans.

You make a good point though. Many of us complaining about the rune situation are now playing for a while. But thinking about newbies is really important too. It wasnt that long ago that I had difficulty manually playing hard levels and more frequent 3*s would have really helped progress the game at times.

And yeah, we know there is a lot to do for you & irrespective of everything, I (and Im sure everyone else) really, really appreciates your communication on the forums!

First the progress bar with the update is filling up, then a popup that I need wifi for additional content, I press ok, progress bar begins from start again... then a popup that I need wifi for additional content, I press ok... and so on for 5 times in a row. Sometimes the poup "Loading files from asset bundles [IME RLM394] appears. But progress always starts from beginning again and again.

Tested with 2 devices, both with same behavior.

Is this a known issue or am I one of a few that is fucked now?

The most recent update should allow you to play on the newer Android OS, but there are some known performance issues with our game on the newer OS. Another client update specifically for Android is coming within the next week or so which improves framerate and stability on Android to address this if you want to wait a bit longer.

Tried it on both devices again, but still stuck with the loading screen. Progress bar does now stop at the left foot of the mummy and that's it. Different texts above progress bar are changing but that's the only indication that's not frozen.

Would be great if you could take the game offline up to 6 hours and fix everything so that the update is working and you can log in afterwards and play. Otherwise it's useless sitting before an endless update screen and you'll never know if there will something happen or when.

Sorry for all my troopers that can't get any points today from me. Second time in a week with these updates that I can't play and I couldn't use all troopers in the morning before work...

I was with the very same error (few pages ago). Now Im back. I just downloaded the game again (the 100th time), but using only the 4G connection of my phone. Didnt do this before cuz Brasilian telecom has some really bad politics for mobile net and I was without a good direct connection.

Like said before by someone (sorry man, didnt get your nick), turn off the cel between reinstalling may help.


About the game. Im happier now, the nerfs was needed, but let a bitter taste. Now its all gone. So, some random stuff:

The talisman interface need a huge face lift. Its hell annoying to search/admin them. The saturation change made this even worst.

I agree with all the souls drops debate. It could be better. But it was worst in recent past. Legendary most be 5* only, or a bit less hard to get (Sacrife, pheraps?)

Monetization. I think most bundles seens/are overpriced due the extra stufff packed in. Just sell a 3 of SkillShard for a few bucks. Micro transitions dont need to fight with the big whales. Im not expert in this matter, but as a player and fellow game dev (ex dev, in fact), option are better.

Sacrifice was long announced, thus long waited. Some long term player would be happy to clean up their team, but Im sure you know that.

Waiting the Brave New World n Night City additions.

The most recent update should allow you to play on the newer Android OS, but there are some known performance issues with our game on the newer OS. Another client update specifically for Android is coming within the next week or so which improves framerate and stability on Android to address this if you want to wait a bit longer.

Both androids I was using today had serious issue with the update.

With one, I reinstalled (been doing this daily since oct 28th update) several times and it wouldn't work. I then uninstalled, rebooted the phone, installed and it worked.

On the other android I used today it's been fine since the oct28th update but just kept crashing before even getting to the nodding frog/50cc games logos. I tried everything and then found out what works, with this new update, I HAVE to run LOTB in main memory (on this particular device). This tablet is set to install apps to the external SD and LOTB is, as of today, the only one that won't work there. By moving LOTB to main memory I was able to get up and running again.

I'm on an iPad and also aling kingdom won't load. Every other aspect of game is loading. Was a auto update before I started.

Tried to install the game to one of our ipad's a week ago. After two days and endless number of "connecting to wifi for loading additional data" and "loading asset bundles" I decided - no legacy for me son.

Now this update screwed my game up also and I'm in the same connectig loop. So no game for me too.

The game is still looping. Started yesterday evening. I tried to uninstall/install.

Last time it took 4 hours of continuous clicking OK to get the game working.

DO NOT TWEAK THE GAME UNTIL THIS PROBLEM IS SOLVED!

Just tried now to delete and reinstall it. Still no chance to finish installation.

It seems also in the beginning strange, that while the different parts of content are downloaded I get 5 times a popup with reminding me to use the wifi connection. Is there one reminder not enough or is this the beginning of some kind of bug chain that won't let me play anymore?
It all ends with this asset popup and then the progress bar won't move any further. Same behavior like 9 hours ago.

From a total satisfied 5* rating in google play I had to change it to a 1* because I can't open that game anymore...

I've tried:

- Update several times in a row
- Delete it and reinstall it
- Swipe all data, delete it, reinstall it
- Swipe all data, delete it, shutdown phone, restart, reinstall it
- And let the loop download for about 30 minutes (via wifi)

All 5 versions with the same download loop and not playing at all. Will give it another try in about 12 hours.

Otherwise just undo what you did and let us play endless the Halloween event until this issue is fixed for all players

LOTB took 1.58GB internal memory on my Android 6.0.1.

Currently uses 1.97GB on IOS10.0.2... Not a small game! That said, thats not a clean install, thats just letting the updates roll for the past months.

I can't say that i'm surprised that it happened again. I don't think that the game has been updated once without some errors, big or small. I think that most people, with an electronic device ios/android, know how to clear cache by now, so perhaps you could come up with something else. Is there in reality anything users can do, and is this just to keep players busy fo xx minutes? If the fault is on your side, you could just say that you're looking into it and we should keep an eye out for updates, here, fb or whatever. I would understand that, "forcing" me to uninstall/clear cache/reinstall over and over just pi**es me of big time

Oh yeah, the game used to take about 1.5 gb, now only about 900 mb and won't go higher, tried for 40-45 minutes. Good luck, i think you need it

Forgot to mention, last evening after work (23 cet time) the game updated once without problems, this morning, well........

Well, it can help to clear cache and reinstall in individual cases. But at this scale this is clearly a problem which can't be solve that way and there is nothing a user can do.
So just wait for a message from devs that the problem is solved.

While it was a great Halloween event (no FotD but drowning in Pumpkins, Visions, Mummy and SoL Eddies...) they should really focus on bugfixing and proper testing before releasing anything new.

The update is starting the I warn to enabling the wifi, it's repeating 3 or 4 times, but the end I getting this window, see the attached picture.

Android 6.0.1 here and am experiencing the same update loop bug with IME RLM394.

Tried on BlueStacks Android app player and exactly the same thing is happening there.

This is my third account, after losing the first two in early update account corruption issues.

It is by far the most valuable as I'm almost lvl 90 and I would hate to part with it, but I am ready to give up and drop the game and rating :(

Hope you can on top of this one too and wish to thank you for the work you're putting into this game as we sure do love it!

Also got the IME RLM394 loop bug.

I've tried Sparton's suggestion of removing all data, rebooting and reinstalling but it's not helping any.

Shame really. There was a brief moment where I couldn't access the Trooper menu, but this is the first time the game simply refuses to let me in.

No change for me either. This game has been running fine on both my android and laptop via Nox since I starting playing at the beginning of August. Never missed a trooper every day. I got that error code, so am gutted right now and have no idea what to do as have spent money on the game . Feel helpless as it's not like you can contact anyone direct and speak to anyone or submitting a ticket took 4 weeks for a reply. I love this game .....has anyone heard a sniff of it being worked on? It's weird indeed, i go to app manager - legacy..in the app window i have the app space, data, data on SD card and total.. and it has always said around 101 MB :confused:

Anyways let's hope this loop ends soon

I see posts from Sparton on how the team hasnít had the chance to look at drop rate issues and other bugs due to working on new content & events. It seems like after launching a game such as Legacy, the teamís focus would be stabilizing and establishing a strong foundation, both technically and trust within the community, to ensure longevity. Instead, they seemed focused on pushing out more content. If the current content canít get properly tested before being released, how will it be when the content is doubled and tripled?

QA is such an important part of software development. If something isnít ready to go, please donít release it.

Thanks for listening. I do enjoy the game, which is why I complain when I see issues that impact my long-term enjoyment ;)

Regarding the issues preventing some players from entering the game: we have a lead as to what is causing it (I'm not a technical person, but it sounds like it basically boils down to server architecture/where the data is coming from, which explains why we haven't seen it when QAing). We will keep you posted in this channel and others when we feel we have gotten our live servers to be sending down the right data.

Regarding fixing drop rates for key items, we just finished deploying major tuning adjustments half a month ago, so it's a bit disingenuous to say we haven't had a chance in general. It's merely been in the last week once people adapted to that newest set of changes that it's been clear there is more work to do.

it was somewhat strange, because the IRLxxx error message occours. i finally thought shit, it won't work. but after one minute after clicking okay, the start button appears.
no idea...on bluestacks i can click okay 20 times and nothing wii happend.

Ever since and including the Oct 18th update, the server wants you to download all files over again upon an update, and does not restart (and perform the check) upon updating those files. Which is leading to ballooning install sizes of files that are just dupes of others.

Try a restart the game. It did similar things to me after the first update loop yesterday.

Edit: I'm in. Going to let my phone cool down for a while, haha. Tends to get pretty warm after long downloads. :p

It's just the lifesteal/spell vamp fix. There was actually some confusion as to what exactly made it out as hotfixes, which is why I didn't announce anything.

I'm working on fixes for 1 star and 2 star evo rune drop rate and coordinating with tech peeps for buying more inventory slots still. The hope is we'll have a smaller tuning update later this month with things like that, fixing the burning talismans, and a few other small things.

As I noted in my response on the subject to Gonzo earlier in the thread, I definitely see where you're coming from for Legendary Souls, but it's still a matter of us only having a fraction of the characters we want to eventually have, and I don't want to strip out characters to the point where you're getting Carriage Rider Eddie and Fear of the Dark Eddie the vast majority of the time (because those are the only "legendary" characters at the lowest rarity that soul gives).[/LIST]

That is not true. You can also get 4* Wickerman Eddie and 4* Soldier Eddie.

I played since global launch and I opened ONLY 4 Legendary Souls, give or take 1. I even bought 2, I think.

Probably you are thinking that we are swimming in Legendary Souls. And that's not the case, most of us only got a bunch of them. It makes no sense to get low tier characters from Legendary Souls, no matter what. Getting a 4* generic pyro soldier or some soulless demon is not OK.

Saying "we don't remove characters from legendary souls pool because we don't want you to get CR Eddie or FotD Eddie the vast majority of the time" is not correct. Because we are now getting low tier characters "the vast majority of the time".

If you don't have the amount of characters that you'd like to have it's not our fault, it's yours. Don't punish the player because of your lack of in game content. I'm sorry, it sounds harsh. But that's the way it is.

It doesn't even make sense from a sales point of view.

People won't buy unless you offer something good.

If you guys can't understand this I don't see how you'll be able to eventually introduce new characters. The hype dissapears, same thing that happened with FotD Eddie.


I'm really dissapointed, this is a BASIC thing that every dev/publisher needs to know. This game was given a second chance, it won't get a third. If you don't learn from previous mistakes it will, unfortunately, dissapear.

No, we don't expect people are swimming in them, but people will be able to gain them more regularly over time. We also don't see 4 star characters as "low tier"... and we know many of our players don't, either. Basically it says that even though you "recognize our frustration" you won't change things because your "data" (aka money intake) is still flowing... This is FUBAR...

You missed the part in my post where I talked about HYPE. I posted this same things to the previous dev team. At least now I got and honest response... "We are all about the money".

I respect that you are trying to make the game better, but you don't have a lot of rope here, whether you like to admit it or not.

Go check your Google reviews, since November 19 out of 26 are two stars or lower. I guess thats data you choose not to see.

If one decides to spend 100Ä on a package, he deserves a high value character.
Iīve paid more then 250Ä till now, and got nothing special from it. The only 5 star i got was a Nomad, that came of an ordinary rare soul.

As long as you continue your path, i will not spend a single Ä.

i appreciate, that we are going to get more legendary souls, that was really a nice change. but i totally agree with gonzo, since the legenday souls are still damn rare. i got two of them and i played like a maniac. the first dropped an allied bomber boy (sentinel). that's why i won't open the 2nd because i hope you will realize, that the legendary souls should only drop really legendary characters.

it's a slap in the face of everyone who spend 100$ for the legeandary pack and get a soldier eddie dupe from the legendary soul. this simply shouldn't happen. the chances are good, that the person won't ever buy something again since he feels somewhat betrayed.
of course that's not true, but he probably feel that way because he got something worthless in exchange for very much money. in this case you would have lost a great costumer who could generate a very high income.

well, there are several solutions to counter this, if you won't change the drops.

1. lower the prices for the legendary souls pack
2. make them more common so that they drop in some special events or secret locations from time to time

in both cases it wouldn't be so hard to get some useless dupe, because the chances are good, that you will get some legendary again for a fair price.

but i really appreciate, that you guys are trying to make the game better, imo you managed to fix some huge leaks and i'm positive that you will continue this path.

I'm fine with it and I contribute cash to back that up. Up until the major tuning update, I was wary and on the fence, not spending money.


On top of that, this is a game that's evolving and if certain toons that are consistently falling short of what they're supposed to be, adjustments will be made over time, I am confident of that.

I agree that the Legendary Souls are very disappointing. I opened 4 and got 4 star characters on each. I already had all but 1.

You also want us to be able to level up characters, I have been playing the lol dungeon on level 10 for the past 3 hours and only got 1 yellow 3-star evo shard. I also got like 6 of the rainbow 3 star ones. Now I am getting backlogged on the rainbows , because I can't get the colored ones.
I thought they (3 star colored shards) were also supposed to be dropping in the regular missions. Now if I see them drop ( and that's a big if) they are only in the dungeon.

Please do something about this or refund my cash I put down on on this game that is progressively getting unbearable to play.

I think what people want is to make it similar to trading card apps. All "cards" go from 1-5 star, but have different rarities: common, rare, super rare, ultra rare, legendary, etc. and different price points to monetize the character packs. Like 600 ironite for 10 guarantee rares, 2000 ironite for 20 rares+1legendary, etc

I am more than satisfied with the app and devs, they already said they will adjust drop rates as new cards introduced, and I've gotten nice characters without $. And I did spend $ during Halloween promo.

I'd love to see that as well. Of course it won't be perfect, since it may provide a character from time to time that we've sold, but at least it would be far better than now.

Here's another tweak that would be nice, having legendary souls being tied to whatever the current dungeon is running (or random if no dungeon is). So, I could save my legendary soul for 'warrior day' and know I'm getting a legendary warrior 4-5* that's not in my inventory. I still might get something I've already deleted, but at least I have a good shot at something new, in a class I am seeking and I can sacrifice if it's not interesting to me.

I'd be FAR more easily led to spending money (or otherwise spending time earning) on a higher priced tier with that sort of situation.

I agree with them. I love the game. I approve of some updates and disapprove others, but intend to remain loyal awhile longer.

That said, you guys are writing the seminar on what not to do for generating in-game spending. Frankly I have a disdain for 'store-bought players' opposed to loyal grinders, but the overall strategy makes no sense to me.

A 10 rare soul pack for 99 cents or a legendary soul for $2.99 with the drops you give makes sense. Your pricing with the randomness generated makes little sense. People may pay $9.99 for a certain rare character or $29.99 for a pack of "X-amt" of 5-star eddies, but why pay a penny for a substantial likelihood of vend trash, especially 4-star vend trash billed as "legendary"?

And here's the real spice to this chili: you can't starve players into submission because those of us who have remained have endured and tolerated the crappiest of drops unfazed whereas the others have simply left. On top of that, $x may be a worthwhile investment on some holiday promo characters to spruce up the roster... Until they find they have 2 slots remainng and they will have to part with hard-earned character builds AND money for the evil xmas elf, because devs have spent more time on income-generating characters than setting up a way for players to accommodate such charaters. Suddenly that whimsical purchase becomes a frustrating pass.

I disagree. I have @ 96 characters at present. 2 of them are rare/'legendary' dupes, held in vain hope they too will not be vended to make room. Thanks to the halloween event, I had to make 2 CRs a mummy, and a few others go bye bye to make room, so while I had a small handful of altar bait, 80-85+ of my roster have ALL been evolved and levelled eddies and toons, and I have the 4-star imps, meatheads, ox skulls and floating firearms to prove it.

Sacrifice is absurd today in terms of a practically-anticipated feature. Unless you are a latecomer or a no-nonsense roster butcher with 28 serious characters and 50 sacraficial lambs, you are painted into a corner already. You cannot collect all the existing characters with the slots available as it is. New characters are inbound with no new slots. Even the daily challenge forces more vacancy to ensure that at least ONE new character be retained to level up 10 levels or the daily challenge cannot be met.

Counter-view: Is it the developer's problem that many players are using allotted character slots like it's a junk drawer in their kitchen? I'm totally fine with this limit as it is now because I've considered the consequences otherwise......for one example, do you want to go into PvP vs someone who has hundreds of slots, no job, and nothing other to do than be obsessed with LOTB? You'll get your ass handed to you unless that person has some sort of significant limit on what can be brought to the battle....sweet jesus, imagine someone who can bring 3 of ANY AND EVERY particular set of characters against you in battle....like 3 nomads plus a Hellhound in support...someone who has 3 of EVERYTHING can be far OP quite easily.

I'm fine with the 100 slots, for now as it puts pressure on me to carefully evaluate what I want to keep and what I want to discard. For example, if it's a toon that pops up pretty much in any batch of regular souls, it's on the chopping block unless it has some very special use. 1. PVP (and Brave New World for that matter) have been 'coming soon' for months. While I would be devestated, I would hardly be shocked if two bad patches/mistakes down the line, the whole game folds before we ever see a single round of PVP played. We are getting pushed, prodded, and nerfed for a currently non-existent feature and that's not making sense when A feature (PVP) should conform to the the game and not the reverse

2. This whole fairness thing in PVP has always been a ridiculous notion in line with how the game has been set up. This is a RANDOM CHANCE game in which skill must be used to contend/overcome. The idea we need a perfectly level playing field for every player (regarding the characters) defies everything about the game. First, if there is zero advantage between players, there is zero incentive to spend money (As detestable as the bought army concept is to me). Second, characters with peaks/valleys smoothed uniformly is boring and makes wins/discoveries pointless.

3. There are ways to make PVP even more enjoyable with uneven potential than uniform. I mentioned this elsewhere. What stops devs from making a better, more interesting PVP (esp for all we have waited/sacrificed for it already)? Why not character-only PVP matches? 4,000 attack restriction trials? Magus-only leagues? This all goes back to the win-win of feature follows game rather than the lose-lose converse.

Limiting the slots has NOTHING to do with levelling PVP (Not sensibly anyway) and worse, it hamstrings the LotB bottom line. If 1,000 slots were practical and feasable, a whimsical purchaser could buy any ridiculous toon, eddie, or baubble sold in the LotB store. If 100 slots are locked in, that same player who is 50-80% full of developed/purchased characters is going to tell the LotB staff to jump in the lake with any offering for sale that doesn't dwarf a legendary great by comparison. Great way to stunt development and promote stagnation within the game and the tesm roster.

Ok, now will be my 3 cents throwed at the pool while discussing about the matter of ''legendary'' characters and their rarity... As always will try to be totally honest and show you how things looking from my point of view and experience I've gained so far... I see that you like all kind of data, numbers and analysis... That's why I'll give you possibly as many numbers as I can... Let's start, shall we?

1. Legendary souls:

I've got 4 of them so far...

* - bought ''Legendary Starter Pack'' - 4* Child Of The Damned (Gunner)

A few words of comment here... At first I wasn't aware how great and powerful toon I was given right at the start of the game, really... First of all it came of my completely unexperience - it's the first time I play such kind of game - if it wasn't linked with Maiden probably I woudn't play at all... I knew nothing about properly setting toons - well... now it's changed a bit, yet still I wouldn't call myself ''experienced'' despite being at 94 level... So... Not having enough materials, right talismans and all that stuff quickly stated that I won't be playing much with that character... Just recently when I finally made my ''Smokie'' a 5* toon with right talismans (thanks to your changes making them more obtainable) I realized how much I've missed... Still he hasn't all skill shards equipped, yet he's a key character of my every team... Do I recognize him as legendary? - YES, because his name is linked with Maiden song, he's not very common and have unique abilities...

The same as Troll with the difference that he's not so great, I can't see him very useful at any point - probably because I haven't played with him that much and haven't seen anyone who would set him as the champion - like I said all the time learning myself how to play and I totally rely on my GREAT troopers and their HUGE experience - if any of them wouldn't set him as the champion, there must be something on the point... In my humble opinion also not legendary... Not to mention he was a dupe in my inventory... So one sold immediately... Do the same with the other while there be a chance called ''sacrifice''

Right now I guess I won't be upgrading/eveolving him - saving money for other ones... Maybe just for do some achivement tasks or when will be nothing better to do... Not legendary - not worse than other dogs I have or tried, but no better either... Pay 100€ for Rocket Dog? C'mon... In fact I did and I did it on PURPOSE cause I wished to show my appreciation towards you and thank you for Grim Reaper Eddie and so Fear Of The Dark Eddie - I paid for them IN FACT, but again - if you ask me - it was the LAST time - right now I am completely not after legendary souls... I know I could be winning couple another ones off achivements, but this not excite me in any way now, and at least not that much to pay for them in the future and get another ''legendary'' dupes...

So... 4 Lenendary Souls - 100%
Given 1 Legendary Character - 25% of getting something really valuable

That's right - I also think that 4* characters not being ''low tier'', but it no means they all should be automatically legendary as well as it happens right now... Legendary means something exceptional as I already wrote in some of my comments... Simple question: Can you name at least ONE 4* character which DEFINITELY is NOT legendary and never will be, having chance to drop off Legendary Souls in opposite to show me what I have missed so far? Thank you...

Correct?

If that so... When there are such great odds to get Legendary Character off rare souls why to pay and go after Legendary Souls while you might not even get what it claims to be?

I was observing this few pages long,off topic arguing with amusement....up until now.
I cannot believe that (i believe it was) xcarecrowx's reaction to your picture linking got deleted and pulled into some kind of a racially motivated statement. it was just a screenshot of some movie, with a nutz looking soldier.
As if i would call you out now for hating:black and white film,pantomimes,john lennon,people with hats (all which i deducted out of one picture,you posted). Oh! and let's not forget your hatred towards italians since you used word BRAVO instead of WELL DONE!

Don't feed the troll. I wasted time attempting discussion with the nitwit, and he had nothing intelligent to say whatsoever. After calling him out to produce his argument his brilliant reply was it was not his job to... Discuss... On a...discussion forum, all the while throwing in two posts of personal attacks. And then the icing on the cake was when I stooped to his level after having enough of his avoidances and peronal attacks he concludes that *I* dodged his rebuttals (note: to him rebuttal = Not my job to say why your point is dumb) and am here to cast insults.

I've got 4 of them so far...

* - bought ''Legendary Starter Pack'' - 4* Child Of The Damned (Gunner)

A few words of comment here... At first I wasn't aware how great and powerful toon I was given right at the start of the game, really... First of all it came of my completely unexperience - it's the first time I play such kind of game - if it wasn't linked with Maiden probably I woudn't play at all... I knew nothing about properly setting toons - well... now it's changed a bit, yet still I wouldn't call myself ''experienced'' despite being at 94 level... So... Not having enough materials, right talismans and all that stuff quickly stated that I won't be playing much with that character... Just recently when I finally made my ''Smokie'' a 5* toon with right talismans (thanks to your changes making them more obtainable) I realized how much I've missed... Still he hasn't all skill shards equipped, yet he's a key character of my every team... Do I recognize him as legendary? - YES, because his name is linked with Maiden song, he's not very common and have unique abilities...

Dude - Gunner CotD, Rocket Dog, and Troll? These characters all kick butt. I actually agree with the point you're trying to make, but many of us pulled 4* Pyro Soldiers or Pharaoh Dogs with our Legendary Souls, so you really are lucky. I'd be happy with any of those for a legendary soul...

Agreed. Many of us ended up with horrible legendary characters. When I won the game, my "legendary" pull was a 4* wickerman Eddie, which was ridiculous considering every player with a pulse got a 2* wickerman Eddie in Ailing Kingdom, and by the time I won the game, mine was already evolved to that level. The sad part was that as unacceptable as this was, some people felt they got far worse: e.g., 4* pyro soldier.

I think by definition, if the character appears in any form below 4*, it is NOT a legendary character.

In the other thread we figured out that legendary just means premium rare character.
Regardless of however you feel about what you received out of the thing, this probably isn't the place to be bashing devs or other players. Just sayin.
legendary soul is as advertised in that sense.

Please read once again what I have written above, okie? I CLEARLY wrote that all these characters you've mentioned are fine indeed, didn't I? Point of my comment was not to complain of what I have got (I would never dare to do so, looking at other people's teams and seeing what THEY have got)... My intention was just to state that not everyone of them should be legendary ones... And this what you wrote only PROOFS Gonzo's and my points of view in that particular case... If the pool of legendary characters wouldn't consist among others of ALL 4* characters ever available as I do believe it is now, then you never have gotten the chance to pull what you just did in fact... Just think of it for a while and ask yourself if it's true or not :)

Personally, I'm okay with Legendary Soul providing 4* characters but I wish that it will exclusively provide 4*-5* character that is not within our character inventory.

Totally agree with you, imo even though not every 4*+ characters are "legendary" but all of them are great characters, definitely better than most of 3* characters, my only hope is "Legendary Soul" can guarantee 4*+ character i don't have yet, new 4* is better than duplicate 5*.
