LOTB on recent Moto phones, how does it run?

I'm currently on an old Moto Razr M (cue the laughter), and looking to upgrade since this old thing doesn't handle long fights very well. I can't afford the latest and greatest phones, so I was wondering if anyone has LOTB running on the following phones.

Moto G 4th Gen (current model)
Moto X Pure Edition / Style (2015)

I'm thinking the game would run better on the X, but looking for the experiences of others in any case. The G was known to have overheating issues, but word is that the latest system update cured it. If the G works ok with LOTB, that would be plenty enough phone for me.

I am using Moto G 3 currently. Yes, it has some heating issues. But unless i have something open in background, i can play for hours.
Note : Game works faster if you don't install it to SD card.

Well that would already be a massive improvement over my current situation. :-) I'm lucky if I can get 15 minutes out of this one before it crashes, heh. I'm restarting the game every 2-4 fights in the mean time.
