Wicker man skills not triggering

I don't think I've ever seen his skill effects trigger on either attack. Bug?

They work for me, quite often in fact. I'm two skill shards short of having the skills maxed though, so that helps.

The thing to remember about his basic attack is that it isn't really an area attack, it is a single target attack with some sort of slash damage. Both debuffs increase physical damage done to the target, but are useless for magic and true damage.
