How do you rank up to get more trooper slots and more SoT ?

You get experience points for each game level you do. In the game, on the main screen, if you look under your name in the top left hand corner you will see a % progress. Just keep completing levels in the game and this will increase. As soon as you hit 100% you go up a personal level and this is how you get the things you are asking.

12 power / 80 sands of time is the max you can get though. Not sure what level that is maxed out, somewhere around 50?
