General or Careiage Rider?

Trying to make it easier for my troopers to use my champion. I could stick with a max General, or a 100 CR that needs a few more skill shards, and still has four 4* talismans.

What do you all think would be better?

I'd say stick with the max general. If you have troopers who haven't finished the game, he will be of the most help since everyone has soldier Eddie.
