View Full Version : Nastiest Dungeon Team Ever : Grim Reaper and Hell Angels

I was just trying some different team strategies for Dungeons today. Here is what i have found out:
Grim Reaper Eddie and a complete wave of Hell Angels. They have a very nasty and devastating synergy together! Even on Gunner Dungeon Level 10..
Here is what happens :
Angel Of Fear (Red) gives Extra Turns and hits damn hard (Especially to Lord of Light)
Angel Of Pain (Blue) Reduces Beneficial Effects and gives painful shocks with power ability + Hits damn hard.
Angel Of Strife (Green) Strong Tank + Hits damn hard like Angel of Fear (Boss Killer) + Power generator : I have put 3 x Energy talisman set, when it triggers, steals 6 power points from enemies rightaway.
His power ability one of the filthiest move in the game i guess, maybe number 1.. Most of the time taunts all enemies + grants Immunity and Invincibility for himself rightaway. This means he disable enemies power moves and enemies can only attack to him. But since he become invisible in same time - enemies just attacking to nowhere.
So, how Grim Reaper Eddie works with this killers? This is the funny part:
When this team come up to Boss wave, Angel Of Strife's "Block" passive protects my low HP & full damage build Grim Reaper Eddie. And usually dies. You know what? Grim Reaper uses his Fury right after that.. Angel of Strife revives again! :cool: Then hits the boss together with Angel of Fear : 2 hits and goodbye Lord of Light.
Note : If you want to try this, be sure you have strong talismans. This is a damage-focused strategy. Enjoy :cool:

What are the talisman you have on each of the angels? I'm currently building up the blue and green ones. Really want that red one but he never drops

For Angel of Fear (Red) : Currently i have;
2 x Rush Will Talisman (Because his power ability scales with ATK and SPECIAL)
2 x Health Overwhelming (His basic attack scales with HP for additional damage)
2 x Strength Fierce (2 mandatory reds, Safeguard can be better to add some MR, but he don't need it because F'n kills everything on his way)
But i will change it to 3 x Thief Will Talisman + 2 x Strength Fierce + 1 x Health Overwhelming,
When i am done with leveling Thief talismans on this set. Because i also want to steal some fury. This set is much more useful for Red Bat. Since he have 3 hits damage, it's easier to trigger. So this can make wonders with Angel of Strife's Energy Talisman set aside, it's almost same with having Alliance General steal fury & energy effect without having him on the team. And they hit much harder :cool:
For Angel of Strife (Green) :
3 x Energy Talismans (2 Overwhelming + 1 Ward, for additional balance to ATK and MAGIC since he have True Damage)
2 x Assassin Talismans (For true damage support. 1 Shield and 1 Barrier for additional balance to DEF and MR)
1 x Shock Talisman (Can be any blue talisman due to his mandatory blue talisman slot)
For Angel of Pain (Blue) : Currently i have set him with;
3 x Freezing Talisman (No special reason. Can be any blue talisman. I just to put them because those set was only 5* blue set left in my inventory)
2 x Paladin Talisman (Boost magic)
1 x Health Ward Talisman (Due to his mandatory green talisman slot & i choose ward for additional magic damage)

Yes, i realized that also hehe. Thanks for your kind words by the way. Well, if i was you my first focus would be to get an Angel of Fear and spend all my trooper points for warrior rare souls, to obtain this beast. He is a must have character!

Yeah that's the hope. Only problem is I got a couple of good pulls over the Halloween event so I'm due for a dry spell of 3* toons for awhile lol

My usual dungeon team as of right now is soldier Eddie + (pick 3 out of 4 depending on what day it is) alliance General, wicker man (ally not the Eddie), red bat, rocket dog. On assassin day, I use SoL Eddie instead of soldier Eddie.
I use the green general on every day except the gunner day, because you do NOT want the boss stealing the General's buff. On magus day I team him up with two green soulless demons with blind + energy sets.

Gunner lol X can be beaten without giving him a turn with AoF, assassin GS, and Nomad+CR Eddie or a few others.
Magus lol is prob the hardest

Beaten Gunner LoL X with 3 characters without giving them a turn, and AoF is not involved...did it as I accidentally forget to add Prisoner back to my team and started a battle.
I think the fun and key to LOL battles are class advantages.

I agree with you guys. Actually you can beat him without giving a turn, class advantage is most important key to do that. But what i do here is giving one turn for Lord of light on purpose. When LOL hits me, green bat dies. Than Grim Reaper revives green bat back and that killer kicks him out. This is a filthy and fun move for me :cool:
Personally, i find more fun to try different team strategies with combining skill synergies.

Bats are wonderful! They definetely worth attention.

Hi.
I seem to do OK on Gunner LOL with my four man red team - I cant farm it but can do it manual ever time.

All 5*Lvl 100 with mostly 5* talisman. In fact this time can beat most LOL levels and types.
My secondary Eddie is usually 5* Carriage Rider for the debuffs...if required!

I am farming Warrior LOL today with my red team and using a different variable Trooper each time - works a treat and not had any fails yet.

Depends on your overall team power. If you have strong team with strong talismans (especially for green bat), you can put 5 x Holy Talisman + 1 x any Yellow Bulwark talisman (gives more hp than blue talismans + more magic than green talismans,reasonable choice for adding some HP + Magic Damage).
If not, i suggest you to have him with 4 x Holy + 2 x Warp Bulwark Talismans for more survivability.

Sounds awesome. I have all the angels also, but only have the red equipped and leveled up... Have you ever done an all COTD setup? I have all of them also, but same issue... only the red is equipped and levelled so far...
I will eventually have all of them ready at all tiems... hopefully lol
Oh, and I also want to try an all soulless demons party too... Have them all but they are all stuck at lvl 60 still.

sorry, but why would you do that? the set bonuses are quite important and like this you end up having one useless holy talisman and one useless yellow talisman...i wouldn't bother with any yellows on a magus eddie. you either go full glass cannon with 6xholy or then if you must (for to me an unclear reason) have yellow talismans equipped,use 2 to get the 25% special bonus. i would still prefer to use a green set though.
in my experience,this game is so simple,that fantasizing about any combos is completely unnecessary (even though i would love to see some and i have many of my own in mind).
but at the end it all comes down to one big word of wisdom,which someone on these forums said a long time ago (think it was Gonzo...sorry if im wrong):
"It's all about how much damage do YOU do."
you can easily manually beat all LOLs and campaign stages (except for the beast) without allowing the opponent a single turn. especially once you get the red bat. so why would you bother with some sentinels,no matter how fancy their passives look?
Just get: red bat,glass cannon GR,soldier,CR,pharaoh,storm(or other strong eddies),PSS/warrior golden son and the fourth slot is pretty much a free one (used for troopers or wicker man/nomad for more damage).
with this setup it's just about the right use of character order and enemy targeting.
sadly...in my experience 90% of talismans are just not worth using losing the 15-20% stat boost from holy,paladin,strenght,guardian. you anyway never need that freeze or paralyze,when you get 8 hits (9th with shock or burning) in your first turn and finish the opponent...

I got your point. But it depends on the situation. I always go with high damage strategy, because i have enough heavy hitters in all kinds. But i change talismans depending on what i am facing with. In some situations (like facing Gunner Lord of Light) some HP is much better than one set bonus. You can't stand with a 12-13.000 K HP Grim Reaper against Magus or Gunner LOL boss, or a wave of Trolls. If you give a turn, they can kill you like just hitting a fly. I choose Yellow Bulwark instead of Green Ward Talisman, because it gives me more Magic damage than Greens and i got some Special to build my fury faster. Yellows have just 1500 k less HP compared to Greens, which makes putting Yellow instead of Green reasonable for me.
For example, i run my Grim Reaper Eddie with 2 x Holy set, 1 additional blue and one yellow talisman. Lets compare them with maxed talismans and level:
Grim Reaper Eddie Additional Stats with Talismans:
Full magic damage set (6 x Holy Talismans)
HP STAT - 13865 K, MAGIC STAT - 4084 K, SPECIAL STAT - 503 K
Survival set (5 x Holy Talismans + 1 x Yellow Bulwark)
HP STAT - 15572 k , MAGIC STAT - 3752 k, SPECIAL STAT - 617 K
Point is, i choose to have 1707 K HP + 114 K SPECIAL instead of having 332 k additional magic damage. Which is a very fair exchange in my view. Because when i have enough heavy hitters in my team, having 332 K less damage on my Eddie don't make much difference for me. I rather have little bit more HP and SPECIAL. Because when Eddie dies, you lose. I want him to survive first, and release more fury : which can recover losing little set bonus damage.
