Part 1 of our Brave New World themed content becoming available and a bit of tuning adjustments in preparation of the upcoming PVP feature.

Brave New World Characters
The first assault from the Brave New World has arrived, but you have the opportunity to take advantage of their power by summoning the minions of the Demons of Creation before they arrive!

Highlighting the charge against these devastating minions is Storm Eddie, an Assassin-class debuff specialist, with an emphasis on Blinding and draining Power from his enemies. Use him in conjunction with the new Undead Rescuers, Corrupt Droids, and Corrupt Rescuers as you get ready for the coming challenges!

Various back-end stability improvements, including improvements preparing for PVP
Improved readability of some parts of the UI
When using a shield status effect (Reflect Shield, Magma Shield, etc), there is a possibility that the game will enter an infinite loop that requires force closing the app [Fixed in App Store update 2.1.8/Google Play update 301954]
Marks may not always do the correct damage [Fixed in App Store update 2.1.8/Google Play update 301954]


Known Issues


Certain characters (primarily newly-earned characters) may not appear in the battle results screens which show gained XP. They will still gain XP, though
Perfect timing heals will consume marks on a healed ally and damage them for the mark's damage
Certain popups that should only appear once per session (Daily Rewards, Starter/Legendary Packs, etc) will trigger each time you go to the Cosmos screen. The non-pack popups can be worked around by force closing and reopening the app

when is sacrifice comming out? Right now pvp and new characters are just something I can't get excited about. I know it's my fault I'm in this situation. If I knew when sacrifice was comming out mabey I could just quit until then.

personnaly i dont use modified character except PDK and will leave him soon: less heal and always his bad only one trooper shot

So the Brave New World dungeon isn't going to be open yet, but the characters will be available? That must mean the dungeon isn't far off. The dungeon and pvp for Christmas maybe? That would be awesome.

Whoa, 5* talisman achievements that give out meteor talismans. Nice. Gives meteor skill, 10 power, but BIG damage with burn. Might be a good talisman set for characters with only single target skills, like the desert warrior. At least that's who I tried it on.

That is quite a good idea. The great news is actually BNW Souls for roughly 3.50 each.

I will have a good night sleep now and device tomorrow if I still want to be part of this ...

Hold on ... Meteor talismans I got as well ... Damn upgrade materials are short - that was unexpected

The new Talismans Achivements are not being counted in "Achivements Completed IV". Is this right? Because I didn't get 2 completed achivements with them.

Noticed that also, since I'm one achievement short of a free skill shard. Oh well, got a full set of Meteor talismans at least.

I couldn't resist and bought 3 BNW souls from my saved ironite ...

Got 2 storm Eddies and 1 Angel of Pain ... Is AoP supposed to drop from these souls? That is my third one that I'd like to sacrifice ...

Storm Eddie looks like SoL Eddie dipped in blueberry jam ...

Another 2 bugs :

1. I bought 10 new souls and I got the Storm Eddie, but I'm italian, and the skill description of storm Eddie in the character window of "My Team" menu is written in deutsch, not italian.

2. Once completed, the daily challenges says in the center of main window:

IT: BAD ID = DAILY_CHALLENGES_ALL_COMPLETE_TAG

Healing Shield is BROKEN.

CotD had Healing Shield and I attacked with Red Bat basic attack. The shield healed 7000 por hit! CotD was immortal.

That also happened with my Red Troll when he got Healing Shield.

Btw, got a crash on Game of Death because of reflect shield and Withe from CR. Don't know what happened.

Please send a ticket into support, indicating the achievements you cleared and that you should have gotten the associated talismans, and they will investigate accordingly.


1. I bought 10 new souls and I got the Storm Eddie, but I'm italian, and the skill description of storm Eddie in the character window of "My Team" menu is written in deutsch, not italian.

It seems some of the new localized text we got swapped German and Italian. We've internally fixed the skill descriptions and have identified what we think is the other batch of text strings that have the same problem, but since we don't have native speakers for those two languages in our office, please let us know if you see anything else backwards and we'll make sure that's fixed for a subsequent server update.


2. Once completed, the daily challenges says in the center of main window:

IT: BAD ID = DAILY_CHALLENGES_ALL_COMPLETE_TAG

That was a late addition into the update we just shipped, and it looks like we missed getting that localized. I'll make sure that's translated ASAP, or at least replaced with English until it is translated.

Got 12 of the new souls. Nothing but common 3 stars and a desert golem that I haven't seen since I started months ago. All in all, doesn't feel worth the gamble. Odds might be about as thin as the Halloween characters, but I can't blow anywhere near as much Ironite as I could trooper points.

I checked with one of our CS peeps, and while they've heard that some people are not getting automated responses, but they don't seem to be missing anyone's support messages.

Additionally, I'm informed the best bet to ensure they can promptly diagnose/solve an issue is using the in-game support button (instead of emailing directly/using the website contact form), so as long as you're issue doesn't involve not being able to get into the game, it's best to use the in-game avenue.

It looks like the current heal shield issue was a failed attempt to fix that; our investigating into that has lead us to a possible fix for the new super-shields and making Dancing Sun properly functional, but we still need to test it thoroughly to make sure that works and doesn't have other knock-on bugs.

Is it just me, or has the AI been getting better with the last few updates? It seems much more efficient now compared with a few months ago, and I just saw Soldier Eddie use his heal on auto play. First time I've ever seen that happen.

Seems one other change was the order of talismans when you click on a slot. If its blue, it now seems blue ones come up first. Nice!

But anyone work out how the order is selected for any colour talisman slot? I seem to get a mix, but cant figure out if its random or based on a 'suggested' talisman colour...

Yeah i noticed that too. Had to be in today's update. I've never seen any Eddie switch to past or future before on auto. I was kinda freaked out when it happened.

I spot this too... As CR Eddie heals his mate around on auto play... First time I thought it was just coincidence, after a few more - dunno... Maybe AI was improved a bit in fact?

Not playing that much with CR now though... As finally made all talis to max with GR - I am learning this new Eddie :)

I don't have a lot of ironite to buy brave New souls. I just had 10 rare souls staying there and had 4 rare gunner & assassin souls. Prayed to RNGESUS and dropped them:

10 rare souls = 3 x Rare Corrupt Owl cultist (my fav), 2 x Rare Corrupt Ox cultist ( I know you can't be without your best friend), some more rare-gulars and..

One Sentinel Undead Rescuer. Skills looks good.

4 rare gunner & assassin souls= 2x Newborn of Light ( gunner), 1x Rocket dog (gunner, my third one )

And one STORM EDDIE. Which is my first assassin Eddie

Well, not bad.. I got it!

I've made this mistake as well :( As I had more rare souls I silly thought that some of the new characters I will get from there... None...

So, I've risked (miss those 900 though could be LOT of time refills - I had no free refills anymore) and made it...

But from this I've read earlier many people weren't that lucky as I did...

Alliance general doesn't steal power he does steal the fury but the chance is like 10% with the new update my general is suppose to have 70% chance to steal power and fury this character is key for my team I hope the team fix it

I didn't read about any nerf to AG. Did they do something to it without saying. If they nerfed him I'll be pissed I just used all my trooper points to max him out.

I hope or this is a mistake.

That's been bugged for a while. It's back to where it used to be when I first pulled him, at least if my memory is right. It wasn't supposed to guarantee critical hits, just a reasonable chance. He's stealing 5 power now though, instead of the usual 4. I'm still stealing lots of both power and fury though.

My CR Eddie has used both past and future skills in autoplay since before this and the last update. Not that common but it sure happens.

People have remarked on the AI improving. Perhaps, but I just learned that the devs have utterly ruined a toon if not a team, and certainly a talisman.

The Assassin Golden Son had a devestating combo attack. When another character unleashed a Mark ability from the Death Talisman, Golden Son would ignite it with devestating effects... devestating to the point that the LOL or Beelzebub in Battlefield (Once his immunity was dispelled) were potentially nuked on round 1. There is no question that this was a powerful move, but it came with a price. First, the mark ability requires 7 power to deploy. Second, it required a perfect ignition from Golden Son. A perfect ignition from another character (Say a recovery shot from troll after golden son missed the perfect) did not yield the results. Third, it required Golden Son to survive all successive rounds to detonate death, and if that is an easy enough feat comparing the player's team to dungeon's enemies, then they would have been slaughtered anyway making the nerf pointless.

My CR Eddie has used his "Life Line" skill that gives "Spell Vamp" (heals according to magic attacks) but never his real heal thingy "Preserve". Lucky me that my main allies are a Hellhound and a Red Troll that benefit not the slightest from this brilliant move of my CR. So I named my CR "Baldrick" because he must have a cunning plan ...

I believe there's been yet another round of nerfing. They destroyed the Assassin GS ignition of the death talisman marks, which was a game changer for farming. It works, but the power has gone from nuking LOL/Beelzebub in one round to eliminating 30% or somof his HP. I am livid over that, and the fact that AG may also be nerfed would be rhe icing on the cake of both of my fully invested teams nerfed. Fucking ridiculous.

Sentinel Undead BuzzLightYear looks like a good character with useful ability but his damage is awful. Even with maxed talisman dealing less than 2k damage per enemy in Magus LOL dungeon...they are supposed to have class advantage against Magus.

Ironic that there was a thread discussing whether PDK should get a buff, and here his heal's gone down again. Poor dog has it ruff.

Also surprised about Soldier Eddie healing now. Though I've seen Mummy, SoL and Reaper dip into Past and Future abilities for several weeks now.

Looking forward to trying the new characters if I ever get em.

Something is wrong with class bonuses. Level 79 green bat in Light Bringer Hard did 20K damage to my CR Eddie. CR Eddie and Golden Son damage to RED bat was smth like 1000.

The blue number that pops up to indicate that power has been stolen says +1 for me, although he does steal 5 power.

I have seen him use Preserve once, when all characters were pretty low on health. I don't really watch while it auoplays so it could have happened more than once of course. But he does indeed use Spell Vamp in situations where it really isn't needed, but that is in line with how the AI normally works.

Seems like the problem with burning talismans were fixed with this update, now they do inflict 1-3 burns on perfect hits again.

Okay, so this is almost definitely the dumbest question I've asked on this forum, but where can I buy BNW souls? I only see the usual soul offerings in my store. I don't want to buy a bunch of souls only to find out those aren't the ones I want.

You find them under Specials, where you also find normal rare souls, sand of time refil.

Thank you! I figured that was the spot, but under my special I don't see Brave New World souls. I did the update, but maybe I need to re-download? Anyone else having this issue?

*UPDATE** In case anyone had the same issue I did: I logged out, deleted my cache, and deleted the app. Then re-downloaded and logged in. The store was updated with BNW Souls.

Not sure if the devs mistake more content with dumping more chars. I would love to have some more stuff to do than autofarming all day. Instead of using all these dev ressources on cahracters they could be used to reinvent the game with a new mode for example: "Turn the tables" mode or call it whatever you like. In this mode the AI would always have the first round. Suddenly you have loads of new campaigns with just a flip ... :)

Don't get me wrong I love the artwork and the fury of Storm Eddie is stunning. But give me some real stuff to do and more than shoving souls down this book ...

For those who don't know, he's the writer of the novel Brave New World, from which the Maiden song was based on.

The halloween special characters felt a bit rushed and didn't add much to the game for me, but some of these BNW characters actually seem useful. Still, I agree that there are enough characters as it. The problem is that it is too hard get the ones that you are missing. Withut new gameplay, the only sense of progression is getting new characters but for every new character you get, it gets harder to get another new one, so it gets harder and harder to get that sense of progression.

Hopefully the release of BNW characters indicates that BNW will soon be playable, giving us some new content.

I do like your idea of giving a twist to existing dungeons to add some more stuff to complete, but it may be hard to do something sensible that adds some kind of challenge to endgame players. Without a challenge to it, it would just be a little variation to the grinding.

Hopefully the release of BNW characters indicates that BNW will soon be playable, giving us some new content.

Pretty sure they said the intention was to release the BNW levels, but it got hung up on testing so they just released the characters first just to get something out. Which is good. But your larger point stands: there are tons of characters, it's too hard to outfit them properly, and there's little to do with them but farm the same 2 or 3 levels.

I had a particularly rough night with some of these 'bugs/bug fixed/developments, and decided it fair and prudent to edit/redact my earlier post (#42) and get all the facts.

What I would like clarification on is this:

There have been reports of performance augmentations of various characters, such as PDK, Allied General, Assassin Golden Son and Angel of Fear. I/we want to know whether some/any of these augmentations are unintentional (Bugs) or intentional (nerfs).

What if any characters have had performance modifications?

Guys do you know what are the requirements to get the meteor talismans ??
From the challenges window, I clicked on the button to get those, I upgraded 32 talismans to 5* and now I have to reach 100 5* talismans to get comets talismans.
But no meteor talismans in my team.
Where are those ??

check your taslisman inventory. You don't get a message, that new talismans have been added to your inventory. Just if you click it, the next requirement (100 5* for the blue - comet) is shown. the previous - 4x meteor will be in your inventory. If you are over stocked, you'll get the "1 talisman over limit" message on homescreen, just go there and browse - make sure to have enough place left.

Sorry. It's a broken record I know.
Today is the blue lord of light, and I really struggle to put together a team for this one that doesn't take 10 mins to finish a round. I have some of the characters to beat it, but they're in desperate need of talismans. I'd farm the upgrade materials for the talismans but that's not possible at the moment. There is nothing I can do, it's literally pointless for me to play. Game is incredibly broken due to the drop rate. I literally might as well not play today. Game has been like this for months, it's literally only gotten worse for this issue as time has gone on to the point my game progression has stopped. The shard farming is fair and so is the drop rate, finally, so happy, but I can't use these new characters I've upgraded.

And the bugs, just wow, I know you guys are trying hard with the bugs, but there are LOTS of bugs with damage calculations, and crazy stuff like the infinite reflect bug, carriage rider healing bad Guys with his fury, dead characters still attacking or being attacked, there's a laundry list about a thousand miles long here of little stuff I catch everyday. As a community it's extremely difficult to quantify or capture some of these bugs if we don't know things like how physical damage and magic damage are calculated taking into account defence and MR stats. A lot of the time the damage calculations just don't add up, and we suspect it's a bug, but we can't confirm it due to a lack of a working knowledge of the behind the scenes coding. So we have to rely on the dev team to catch these bugs themselves, and they simply aren't being reported and investigated. PvP....

Yes, it's a bug. I checked in the talisman inventory, and in all characters slots but no sign of meteor talismans.
This update is full of bugs.
They have to give us our missing reward in the next patch I think.

My CR Eddie has used his "Life Line" skill that gives "Spell Vamp" (heals according to magic attacks) but never his real heal thingy "Preserve". Lucky me that my main allies are a Hellhound and a Red Troll that benefit not the slightest from this brilliant move of my CR. So I named my CR "Baldrick" because he must have a cunning plan ...

LOL... You've just forced me to break out my Blackadder box set and entertain myself until the latest bugs are ironed out!!

Is it just me or does somebody else also have the feeling we have more than enough characters in this game.

Not sure if the devs mistake more content with dumping more chars. I would love to have some more stuff to do than autofarming all day. Instead of using all these dev ressources on cahracters they could be used to reinvent the game with a new mode for example: "Turn the tables" mode or call it whatever you like. In this mode the AI would always have the first round. Suddenly you have loads of new campaigns with just a flip ... :)

Don't get me wrong I love the artwork and the fury of Storm Eddie is stunning. But give me some real stuff to do and more than shoving souls down this book ...

While I get where you're coming from, the thing to keep in mind is that a game development team is not a team of people with interchangable skills. The short(-ish) explanation is that a team is predominantly filled with artists (people who make graphics/3D models), designers (people who figure out how the game plays and how to tune it), and programmers (people who write the code to make things do what they're supposed to and look the way artists/designers intend). A game like ours needs various things to help keep it interesting/fresh, but not all things require as much work from the different departments. For example, things like PVP are very programmer-intensive, but don't require as much from the art department, while things like characters are very art-intensive (and somewhat design-intensive), but require little programming work (except where entirely new functionality is needed, but even then much less work for a new kind of skill effect compared to making PVP leaderboards function, or implementing screen flow, or whatever).

So the reason we've had more character-related stuff lately is that we've been having most of our programming power tied up in the upcoming features/fixing bugs, and while the features are getting close to release, we still need a bit more time. But since our artists have finished most of the work for that, they can then work on more character stuff... and the designers balance between those facets of the game (while planning out future stuff).


There have been reports of performance augmentations of various characters, such as PDK, Allied General, Assassin Golden Son and Angel of Fear. I/we want to know whether some/any of these augmentations are unintentional (Bugs) or intentional (nerfs).

What if any characters have had performance modifications?

The first post has a table of what characters were intended to have changes, and what those changes were. Anything beyond that is other fixes or changes that we missed logging formally (such as the burning talisman applying 1-3 burns again), or are bugs.

There are indeed some concerning bugs that went live with this current update, and we have people looking into issues reported (here, other forum posts, and directly to CS) to diagnose and solve said issues.

I've just noticed a little bug:

when being redirected to the screen that shows the characters used in a stage after the victory, it doesn't show those characters you pulled out the BNW souls

Some do, some don't. Some old characters also don't show up in the results screen either (or at least don't after this update). We're still working on that, but at least XP gains are still being recorded for everyone in a battle.

Under Character Tuning, Crit Chance (Status Effect) is listed with "Standardized Critical Strike Chance to trigger 35% of the time, unless otherwise specified".

Having a buff let you do 2x damage over multiple turns (way better than things like Attack Up or Magical Charge) was not intended, and some characters had wildly varying crit chances, so we took the opportunity to standardize that accordingly for characters that don't explicitly call out that they can get 100% crit rate (such as Stake on Vampire Hunter Eddie and Assassin Corrupt Harpy).

I didn't even think about them being sorcery type. I am still waiting on support to give me mine for the achievement. If they get them soonish I'll let you know what types I get.

Thinking about tailismans I am still needing one guard overwhelming tailisman. With all these defense based characters they could really be useful.

Troll is still bugged. Today I just got a infinite "Miss". The game keeps in loop and you can't do any action besides Options->Quit.

well, spent a few ironites on both my devices and got somewhat lucky. My Samurai-Eddie Tablet got himself a Nomad. A good companion to my 5* Angel of Fear), so i'm ok with it No new characters here, though.

My Main Tab dropped my the Gunner Corrupt Rescuer (and Yes! she's great!), A tailgunner Eddie and sentinel undead rescuer. At least something.

Now i'm going to spend my soldier points on 2* g/a souls to get storm eddie....

Nice to see the translations fixed.
Yet another thing i noticed: While playing the bonus levels and leveling my 3 new characters i noticed all 3 are missing from the result screen. Only "bug" i noticed now that none of my 3 new characters (Tailgunner and both rescuers) are noth showing on the result screen. Only my spare and the companion eddie are shown. Yet they still level, no not that big issue

While the burn Talis effect was fixed, something happened to the dmg it is putting out. My team could 1-round LOL X easily, but suddenly it's a multi-round fight on each stage. Using Red GS w/ maxed burners and WME to consume has always been $$$, but now it is weak sauce... This, along with the Death Mark/Assassin/Gunner fiasco, my go-to teams (that I've invested 90% of my time and resources in) are pretty much MEH now.

Hoping this is just an error, and not some sort of ninja nerf.

Trying to stay positive though, as I'm about to blow 900 ironite on some Sacrifice fodder! 😂

just got that, too. I forgot to disable auto-play. My therory was, that if the troll would not interact, he would do no harm. For my test now on autoplay, he activated his ability, which caused the bug.
So if you have a troll in your troopers list, put him in the easy levels (or bonus level) on ailing kingdom, pair him with 2 massive AOE damage dealers and play yourself, so that 3 basic attacks from eddie instant kill all 3 round without using the troll, thus getting the 25 points. I try tomorrow. Yet it does not fix, the problem, when you have the troll and want to use it, but you could use your trooper.

Because of the nature of that bug, you'll need to contact support about that problem for them to gift you the talismans if claiming the achievement did not give them to you. Whatever fix we do will likely only help future players who redeem the achievement.

Yeah, we're seeing smatterings of reports for this... you might be right that it has to do with newly-earned characters. I'll pass along this extra info to the team to see if it helps narrow down the problem.

Even though we almost never post in there, we do go through it from time to time to find easy fixes to quickly do and record problems that require more extensive fixes in our internal tracking system.

Thanks for the detailed info about the skill shards thing; most people see the issue go the other way (skill shards not counting), and while I suspected something along the lines of what you posted was possible, it's good to see a consistent set of repro steps to ensure a mixup occurs in the other direction.

That's odd... it looks like a nerf that was planned for a future update closer to the release of PVP, but that shouldn't have gone out yet. It looks like in the flurry of activity to rush out a fix to the major issues some other unintended changes also went live.

I'll work with the team to identify the additional changes and post back here with the results.

Hard to tell, lots of debuffs were applied when it appened, I was playing the lord of light sentinel dungeon X with the following team:
- Pharaoh Eddie (100% sur that none of his debuff were applied)
- The Prisoner (possible debuff : stun)
- Magus Golden Son (possible debuffs : hp drain from his special move and freeze from talismans)
- Sentinel Pyro Soldier (possible debuffs : flame from his primary attack, freeze and blind from talisman)

They're the only Comet Talismans in the game for now at least (unless you got them through the Founder's Pack).

The Comet skill is a devastating skill. Although I know that most players seem to disregard any stat bonus that isn't HP, Attack, and Magic, I would encourage players to carefully consider how they can utilize this successfully.

I just got my comet tailismans from the support staff. They were all sorcery wich is sad because until the game changes sorcery tailismans are useless. Kinda disappointed.

I don't have to do a restart on the app on androids, I just need to click on the options icon and choose EXIT which forfeits the trooper points and sands of time....that gets me out of the loop without closing the app.

Not 100 % sure about this, but it seems very likely. Should help your team find the problem.

My second Aces High was summoned from legendary soul during the BNW event, also doesn't show in exp screen. My guess is any character summoned after implementation of BNW character event will not appear in exp screen.

I have tried to use tailismans with the alt stats to get the max effect from skills that need defense for primary stat. Trying to see if a glass cannon toon could be effective but the results were not pretty. I tried using 2 sorcery tailismans. The main problem is that the character dies the first time it gets hit and must be revived. The places that have toons using permadeath really hurt the chances of winning. In pvp it will be worse.

That was just using 2 sorcery tailismans, comet requires 4. That is an instant kill on that toon. I have had success using one non hp tailisman but 2 was pushing it.

The problem with using non hp tailismans is the opposing team will kill u so fast. Yes I can plan for a magic or defensive battle in pve and win. But in pvp it makes no sense to go with a non hp tailisman.

I have also tried using taunting toons to help out my glass cannon but the success rate wasn't high.

Many of us have tested alternative builds using tailismans like sorcery but they just aren't as good of a choice right now. I promise if I could have made them work effectively, I would be using more of them.

It's not that we don't want to try new combos it's just that at the current time they don't work.

The only time i have won constantly using a toon with no hp tailismans on it was in a battle that I could win with just 1 or 2'charaters. So it is possible but not on really hard lvls.

I am hoping in the future that will change then the lvl 100 tailismans with no hp on them will not be just collecting dust.

I will still lvl my comet tailismans to max just to try the skill for fun but I don't think it will be worth the lost hp to use on a competitive team.

Just wanted you to know there was a reason why they are not preferred. If the att/magic that was offered on a skilled or sorcery tailismans was significantly higher then what is offered on a regular hp tailisman they might the be more useful alternative. But right now there is no benefit to giving up the hp when the other tailismans offer the same amount of att/magic.

If there was a toon that had an attack based on both def/mr that might make a difference. But right now I have found it hard to defend the use skilled/sorcery tailismans.

I could be wrong and mabey I'm missing something. Y'all let me know if I am.

My second Aces High was summoned from legendary soul during the BNW event, also doesn't show in exp screen. My guess is any character summoned after implementation of BNW character event will not appear in exp screen.

My Wickerman was summoned before the BNW event and does not show, but he was pulled the weekend before the event so perhaps some changes were already in place?

I have tried to use tailismans with the alt stats to get the max effect from skills that need defense for primary stat. Try the comet on a toon like the blue child along with a tank build for grim reaper or pharaoh ;) maybe add the purple golden son for maximum cheese. You might need a power generator like allied general. Does the comet skill trigger on auto battle?

I don't have to do a restart on the app on androids, I just need to click on the options icon and choose EXIT which forfeits the trooper points and sands of time....that gets me out of the loop without closing the app.

Actually, I just saw our bug ticket for that get resolved; apparently characters in slots 101-125 (ie the newest ones a lot of long-term players would have) are what are affected by the bug. There's already an app store update waiting to be approved to fix a few other major problems, but we'll have a fix for this issue in the one after that.


[Some great comments about talismans giving HP vs Def/MR]

It's definitely expected to build a character with at least some HP from talismans (if not a health talisman or two), but I understand where you're coming from.

The intent for building defenses on a character is to find a good balance between adding HP and adding Def/MR, but it sounds like it's hard to get enough Def and MR to compensate for the amount of HP given. I'll make a task for myself to revisit this and do either something along the lines of what you're suggesting (make such talismans more glass cannon-y by giving more Magic than comparable talismans) or improve the Def/MR given on talismans to encourage more of a balance (or more of a reason to push more HP or more Def/MR depending on your opponent/your team comp).

125 character slots is a technical limit we have right now, but the intent is that character inventory (and talisman inventory) will be expanded much more once we're able to fully test the implications of extending it. It's on our list of things we want to solve sooner rather than later, but without diverting too much attention from releasing PVP.

Thanks Sparton, for looking into the skilled/sorcery tailismans. I did find one team that works a complete freeze team with comet. GR, blue cotd, blue masked harpy. Comet and health on cotd and full freeze on harpy. The team works good but fights are long and when you get to a boss your hurting because freeze doesn't stick on most bosses.

I would like to echo my appreciation for the latest update. I was chomping at the bit hoping for an opportunity to snag meteor and comet! Now to level up tailsmans so I can start playing around with comet too. I notice some people here are frustrated with the new world souls. Personally, I couldn't be happier... I went with two 10 packs thus far to include:

1st set:
Corrupt Rescuer 4*
Undead rescuer 3*
Wicker Golem 3*
^ all assassin
SoL Eddie 3* (magus)
And the rest usual suspects

2nd set:
Rainmaker Eddie 5*
Storm Eddie 3*
Corrupt Harpy 4*
^ all assassin
Soulless Demon 4* (guardian)
And a few other misc...

I dropped $50 on the Black Friday special so I might go for one other 10 pack. I like to budget about $20 / month for my love of the game and all the work the dev team puts into the game. Although there can be some frustration with drops it tends to work itself out in the end. I got a couple doubles on the rarer characters but plenty of new one's as well. It looks like the new world souls have a higher percentage of other rare characters esp assassins. Happy turkey leftovers everyone!

Agreed. I HAVE spent money however. I bought the $20 Alexander's Amphora to buy a 10 rare soul pack early on in the game before learning, and got the usual crap. Just the other day I bought the $29.99 legendary soul pack (the one with 3 days remaining). The "legendary" soul was a fucking 4* pyro dupe. Between the remaining rare souls and the full conversions of Ironite to BNW souls, I have scored the Prisoner, Gunner Corrupt Rescuer, and Corrupt Droids, Sentinel and Gunner.

Had I scored a Rare Eddie, I would be satisfied with him and the Rescuer (with the Prisoner rounding things out in rarity, not overall performance). The fact is that I have ONE somewhat/truly rare Eddie from gaming through July and it makes me sick to think of all the L49 players who have long since abandoned this game with Corrupt Generals, Angels of Fear, Samurai, and Vampire Slayers rotting on defunct accounts when I grind daily, even buy and get the shit end of the stick constantly.

Perception =/= reality I am aware, but it seems like half or more posting walked off with FotD and Storm Eddies through these promos, and I'm blowing money and resources like a fool for droids and pumpkins notwithstanding the vague promises of "increased odds." The bottom line is that the mechanics and development of this game pay no allegiance to the loyal nor to those who pay. This is purely a slot machine dressed up as a vs strategy game, and while that gambling element may appeal to some, it is one of the things I truly detest about this game.

I hit this promo with everything I had -admittedly little since the mechanics of this game has crippled me (no reg runes + multiple new L 100 characters = endless ironite for SoT with no rare souls in the game anymore has starved me out of ironite among other things). I blew 13K of badges I saved on rare gun/ass souls, blew the few hundred remaining ironite I had on BNW, and sent off a half dozen rare and 3 stacks of regular souls. Out of all of that, the ONLY promo-germane pull was a warrior Corrupt Droid from a regular soul stack, no less.

When I spent $30 I got a legendary soul, some rares and ironite. The legendary was an insult that the upcoming sacrifice had better remedy. The packaged rare souls plus the BNW I spent all the ironite from the deal yielded one very good (Maybe the best) toon and two of the most lackluster. Granted, none of this information is new as opposed to my last post, but here is the point as it relates to you.

BNW soul drops are no guarantee that you will get anything from BNW, much less anything good from BNW. The problem here is the disservice done to us being that Storm is a G/A class. FotD Eddie allowed you to pull via 1,250 badge Sentinel souls. It costs 3X that for one Assassin soul and those drops are very dismal in my experience for rare characters. Thus, BNW souls offer you a bad chance of getting Storm for a high price, whereas G/A souls offer you a terrible chance of getting Storm at an absurd price.

Frankly, I am beginning to rethink promos given the RNG. It seems many pulled FotD after the Halloween promo... even during this one. What that suggests is there is little reason to get excited until they change the RNG, as unlikely as the odds are, I seem similarly as likely to stumble on the character randomly some other time as I am during the promo.

So if you MUST have Storm, BNW souls give you the (somewhat) less-costly advantage of "probably not getting him" over the alternatives.

EDIT: just to prove my point, I tossed the meagre scrapings of my ironite into one BNW soul just now and got the Bruce RTTH "Yaaaaaaaaaaa!" Scream.

Gunner Cotd.

Great pull for a rare soul, but nothing to do with BNW, and not so great for the player with one or the one dying for storm (And inexcusably, it's a MUCH better pull than the legandary soul pull that I paid for with $).

Are you using characters that have a reflect shield such as red Troll or blue Allied Soldier? If yes, then I would avoid them until they get this issue fixed.

If you have Android, there is that Google Play store update that became available within the last 24 hours, which fixes the mark thing and the combat hang that happens with certain kinds of shields. The corresponding update for iOS is still waiting for review, but we hope will be approved and become available some time within the next few days for that platform.

Just a heads up, the SIEGE passive seems to be somewhat bugged right now. Previously it would remove 1 turn from buffs on the enemy per character with that passive, per round. Right now it's taking off way more than that for some odd reason. You'll really notice it with a buff heavy team playing on Circle of Fire / Underworld / madness. I'm using Alliance General, Soldier Eddie, and Angel of Pain, and you'll almost always lose 4 rounds worth of buffs on the enemy turn vs. the blue angels, even if one is dead.

I was excited to use the new Sentinel Undead Rescuer as he can block beneficial effects. Tried him on the Prisoner in Underworld Madness. Got to the second level with the Trolls and he successfully blocked all of them. Cranked up the Generals buff, released Eddie's Fury and BAM - my team is hit for a boatload of damage from the Reflect Shield!

Is the Trolls Reflect Shield not a beneficial effect? It's in blue so assumed it was. Or does this only block the summoning of additional beneficial effects while leaving those already there in place? Thinking that must be the case...

I asked this in the Wickerman thread. Yes, that's how it works. Main target takes a good solid hit, and the other enemies take a "splash" of damage

Kaz is spearheading the design for that, and while I don't have a timeline, that is being worked on. Trooper points (and an equivalent currency from participating in PVP) will help to get different feature-exclusive Eddies and other characters.

I'll double check with Kaz, as I'm not sure what the intent is there. I know there's quite a few characters that should be doing multiple hits which aren't clearly specified (or do differing amounts than what they were designed for), but I don't know what category The Wicker Man falls under for that.

It's already fixed on Android if you grab the new update on Google Play. We submitted the update to iOS last week and still haven't been approved as far as I know, so there's nothing further we can do other than wait for it to get through their approval process. Everything's starting to slow down for the holiday season, I suppose.

Yes, that is most probably the answer to your question. There exist two types of this skill: "removes" (see CR Eddies fury skill) and "blocks". so this one only prevents the enemy from acquiring new beneficial effects.

Getting the Brave New World dungeons to all players and getting PVP out to all players is our two major priorities, and we have different people on the team dedicated to each (with some additional programmers having been hired to either help with one of those or to focus on other things so existing team members can focus as much as possible on their feature). I'm still not sure which of those will come out first, but they are coming.

Well... It happened to me as well, yet yesterday downloaded the update directly from Google Play Store and the problem seems to be gone (at least for now)... I've tried my own troll and couple of my friends ones - both on manual and auto play and game not crashing anymore now...

I doubt if the devs will fix this soon (I wish I'd wrong) - they HAD couple chances already - I guess they don't recognize the problem as THAT important and this is highly unlikely that would missed all the posts asking them to do this... I guess it's on purpose... my theory is that they simply want us play even more and more with this awful drop rates, using the LOT of ironities to refills the sands of time, and then buy a lot of ironities with money to do it again and again...

I am going to stay positive and cut the devs a break on this one (I feel like I owe them one when I made a rash post without confirmation earlier).

Even though this issue has bankrupted my resources and dramatically altered my play these past few weeks for the worse, I am going to remain hopeful that the Brave New World dungeons encapsulate this issue and working to bring this online is effectively addressing the xp rune issue.

If I am right, the only thing that I would have appreciated would be a heads up/confirmation. If I'm wrong... well, that's why I am trying to be patient on this one because the issue might get ugly with people.

Well... It happened to me as well, yet yesterday downloaded the update directly from Google Play Store and the problem seems to be gone (at least for now)... I've tried my own troll and couple of my friends ones - both on manual and auto play and game not crashing anymore now...

Yeah, we're definitely aware it's a problem for many endgame players, it's just a matter of I'm out of easy solutions with how the drop tables are set up without shifting the problem around (like causing character evo shards from being a huge bottleneck for midgame players or something). While the Brave New World dungeons will be the eventual longterm solution, I'm still giving it some thought to see if the situation can be improved in advance of those dungeons arriving.

I might be in the minority here, but I'd leave the drop rates alone if the BNW dungeons are the long term solution. We can survive in the mean time by focusing on fewer characters. You're never going to please everyone, regardless of what you do. Looks like you have a solid plan in place, stick with it.

I don't think one can Focus on fewer characters when the XP runes are more or less dried. For those who still have a way to go, idle time can be invested in the LOL dungeons raising 20 or 30 characters to four or five star status. Talismans are a completely different issue. I have three or four characters that are getting the dedicated xp runes... (a magus gets the blue, etc.) it has literally taken weeks to get some of these characters up into the 50s on these talismans with two or three left to go for that one character alone. It is much easier to superficially level a bunch of characters, which of course creates an even larger vacuum later. For those who have already leveled the number of characters the real problem is the only resort is more or less a pointless grind for resource building without the enjoyment of leveling for completing a character.

Yeah, as Reeb said, if there is a solution coming, I dont mind the XP runes as they are. I dont think they need a huge boost anyway. At least, from tracking my drops the past 3 days, I'm getting enough to max a 5* talisman (though across different colours) per day.

My pain is the 3* evo shards. 3 sands refills yesterday and I got a huge total of 2x3* coloured evo shards! That is not unusual when Im trying to get a char to 5*, so at that rate, I can have 21 maxed 5* talismans in the same time I upgrade 1 char to 5*!

I don't think you are - I agree totally with you. The problem is that there are too many items and people concentrate on different things. To dedicate a dungeon to runes seems a good solution - always depending on the drop rates of course. LoL seems a bit low at the moment compared to the cost in SoT ...

maybe it sounds too simple, but what would be about simply double the drops?

let's assume xp runes drop 20% of the time and if they drop you get 5x 3* runes or 2x 4* runes or 1x 5* runes.
you could leave the percantage as they are now and simple double the drops. instead on 5x 3* increase it to 10x 3* or from 2x 4* to 4x 4*and so on.

this should fix the main problems till BNW arises, without having an impact on the other materials like shards or other runes, which seem to be in balance now.

Well... Not agree with you on this one - getting xp runes - or the lack of them is not being the problem just for endgame players, as this situation affects ALL of the players in the same way - beginners, advanced and hardcore - the veteran ones - as EVERYBODY using the talismans, right?

Let's leave the awful ratio for a moment - and see what is dropping where, ok? (I am talking about the stuff in general, regardless the stars)

1) coloured evo shards - dungeons + secret locations sometimes + worlds (the more advanced levels - the better ces we get) + store (various upgrade packs)
2) colourless evo shards - dungeons + worlds (the more advanced levels - the better ces we get)
3) xp shards - dungeons + secret locations sometimes + worlds (the more advanced levels - the better xps we get) + store (various upgrade packs)
4) evo runes - secret locations GRANTED + worlds (the more advanced levels - the better er we get)
5) xp runes - secret locations sometimes + worlds (the more advanced levels - the better xpr we get)

That's correct? And now see Sparton how easily you can get xp shards (as they being EVERYWHERE possible) and compare this to xp runes... You have chosen that path to make things EASIEST to the maximum with evolving characters - which is even easier itself than evolving talismans - far more xp stuff is needed to level 6 talismans, than xp stuff to evolve 1 character... 6 > 1 Agree? But OK - get used to it what you have chosen...

However keep in the mind the fact that midgame players or beginners are having even far worse than us - not having unlocked all the secret locations... And I guess they DO need good talismans as well assuming they would like to get good stuff from the dungeons or achieve some real progress in the game...

I AM very happy and excited hearing about the future plans... I can only wish you good luck! Yet now is NOW and it would be good to make a things even LITTLE better while awaiting future content, right? The players have given you bunch of ideas on a golden plate... You don't need to mess with everything and start the revolution... Keep the drops of xp runes AS THEY ARE NOW, yet icrease their QUANTITY... Sounds simple? Or GRANT xp runes in secret locations as you did with evo runes - yet this would be worse as not fair for everyone (see above)...

I believe you'll choose such solution which will make happy everyone...

Was there a new, major nerf on freezing and paralysis talisman the last couple of days? I didn't notice anything over the weekend but now it is at 12% ? Seems like a major reduction significantly undermining overall strategy for many here.

They were on 12% for some time now :cool:

I have both Freezing & Paralysis on Blue Allied Soldier and can't remember the last time I saw either work yet I have a couple of Corrupt General troopers that seemingly freeze at 95%. Maybe they behave differently on different characters.

Here's a suggestion for my health's sake...can we increase the cap for Sands of Time from 80 to 100? Since June, I've been waking up in the middle of my sleep to play a few games so that the SoT will not be wasted by reaching the cap in the morning lol.

80 SoT is 6hr 40min which is less than the recommended sleeping duration. Depending on the age, the recommended adult sleep range from 7-9 hours, so 100 SoT would be 8hr 20min which will allow me to sleep in peace.

WOW that is commitment - do you literally play this all the time you are awake? If so kudos - I must admit I farm most of the day but have never thought of SoT they way you do! I thought I was a bit addicted too!

Still it is a great idea. Though at times when farming lower levels like Powerslave Madness you often get so much SoT back each round it is difficult to spend them all.

Well guys it used to be set at 100 and they lowered it to 80
Also they increased the AK from 3 sands to 4 (unless that was just when you complete the game it goes to 4)

I'm not sure exactly when they changed the daily rewards to automatically update but
Can you please change it back to when you open the game
I used to leave it open overnight so I could play for a bit and then later in the day I would reset and get my bonus sot
I know they have increase the max on those days but I'm now t sure I get the extra sand every 5 mins until I get back under 80 or if the sot earned as reward is added while above 80

Alternatively couldn't they just add it in the daily achiements so I can claim it when I want to

You can't AutoPlay the entire Kingdom/World though right? You still have to manually click on each level, choose your troopers (if applicable), etc. correct? Or am I missing something?

I would love to be able to play an entire Kingdom/World on AutoPlay without any manual intervention.

No I don't get to play all the time I'm awake, 80 SoT is only 8-9 LOL dungeon games which can be completed in less than 30mins, which it will take 6hr 40min to fully refill. I just play in a way that the SoT will keep on refilling.

Technically, I won't get to play more than before if they raise the SoT cap to 100 as the maximum SoT that can refill in 24hr is 288 SoT, not counting battle reward. This will benefit players purchasing SoT refill with Ironites and dedicated players getting proper sleep.

I'm trying to complete the achievement "80 Achievements" and the one I'm closest is the "25 5* Talisman - Reward: 2 Comet Talisman". But the first 2 Talisman Achievement were not accounted for that achievement.

Anyone can confirm if that is now repaired? Thanks!

I don't know, but I don't think so.
I am one of the unlucky ones that completed the task and did not receive the meteor talismans because of that bug :(

I can live with BNW coming out before sacrifice because those characters are no longer 'new' in conjunction with devs opening another 25 slots (that more or less have since filled), but I too would want to see sacrifice ASAP- certainly before any other major character modules develop like those with FotD promo or BNW promo.

Now I don't care that MUCH to be honest... I had SOLD over 40 4* toons just to have room for another toons I might be getting off BNW souls... To be CLEAR it weren't any dupe Eddies - those I am still holding in my possession, yet toons I had PLENTY of 'em like Harpies or German Troops, Mummy Dogs etc. and I was completely SURE I don't want them and won't ever use them... Evolving them just for achievement and then goodbye... When I will get another ones for some time I WILL DO the same without looking for sacrifice... It seems that Maiden will release a new record much sooner than sacrifice happen :p

It's more about the fact that i'm waiting to open all my rare souls at once, so that later - depending on what i get - i can decide on which char i should focus, to improve it with all the skillshards i'm putting aside for weeks now.
But of course i can't do this until i get rid of all the dupes i have, so at the moment the game is all about grinding everyday waiting for the moment when i'll finally boost up my new squad...but until then it's kinda boring

Like the Red Troll miss Loop, Not being able to consume Assassin marks, random bleed effects being applied (maybe from assassin mark).

So there are clearly some updates which don't get their own thread, but just posting here as some of us are having problems since the most recent additions to the game, and I guess the devs are more likely to see it here:

Started one morning: started app as usual on my tablet. Loading never ended, it just got to 75% and no matter how many times I restarted the game, it did the same thing. Fired off a message to support but I don't expect to hear back. Cleared data, uninstalled/reinstalled. Same issue.

Wanted to make sure my troopers got badges so I installed on my phone. Great for about 2 days, then the same bug. So... Clear data, uninstall, reinstall, and works fine until I log out. Then same loading issue next time. I'd rather not have to reinstall every single day.

Now, not only do I have to reinstall but performance is soooooo sloooooow - takes minutes to switch to my team or even upgrade a talisman.

Both phone (HTC 10) and tablet (Galaxy tab4) are Android but not the same version, and both have exact same problem.

Yeah something is definitely not right. I haven't been able to play reliably in about 22 hours now. If I get in, everything is seriously choppy. It's like playing on a high packet loss connection.

Same here. The game has been quite choppy today for me too. Even worse, I've been getting a ton of server errors / crashes at the very end of battles. Looks like it might be time for some more server maintenance. Going to take a break since I've lost about half of the trooper badges I've attempted today. :mad:

I was so excited to see a new update for iOS and then deflated to see minor bug fix/tweaks...and then no description here.

Would love some info on the update we had and when we can expect a proper update. Thanks!

it's on android, too so what's new?
I've yet not noticed any mayor or minor issues (don't play SoL or Mummy Eddie)
And the troll bug is fixed (3 devices, on one of them, the troll is a regular part of the team)

This is just another minor update to try and address stuff that we missed from the previous app store update, including the issue where people were seeing things like the Daily Rewards calendar or Starter/Legendary Pack popups repeatedly in a session instead of just once.

We're working on buttoning up an update right now. Not sure when it'll be released exactly, but it'll be well before Christmas.

The extra data shouldn't have been anything major, from what I understand. I think it was something for the shop, but not actually changing what you get from purchasing anything that's there.

Hi Sparton, facing a problem suddenly. At first game worked fine this morning, after restart it now hangs in the starting screen
at 75%. After uninstalling and reinstalling and log in with my Facebook account many things were missing that i already saved.
Got only 25 Char slots (were at 100), sands of time were down to 20 and first the game started with the intro movie.
Seems like quite some people have these issues right now and support team seems to be overfloated with requests.

I've seen that many times after updates/reinstall/changing acccounts. a simple reload should fix that.

Uninstalled/reinstalled it again, now everythings back but the game performs really slooooww. reload would put me into 75% loop again...

I had that 75% login problem this weekend. After a few tries of reinstalling the game and slowly selling a few talismans and evo runes due to the lag, it sorted itself out. Unknown if it was fixed due to a game update or me actually selling a corrupted item, but I can play again with zero issues.

I feel like our inventory shouldn't be an issue, besides that i can't even get it to load enough to try and sell anything. If we have to reinstall the game more than once, send like that would be a server issue, not an individual account issue.
