Angel of Pain or Death Dog

Just received a Death Dog from a Legendary Soul. I already have an undeveloped Angel of Pain on the bench.

Both of these characters possess the useful Siege passive skill.

Which of these characters do you recommend investing resources in? All advice welcomed.

I don't have direct experience with either, except on the receiving end. But, from what I've read here, it seems like the angel would get most votes.

I'm leaning toward the AoP because I do not like how the DD's power move lowers his DEF.

Does anyone have additional thoughts on the topic?

I have both of them and altough I really like the dog, in the end the Angel is better

I love the Angel of Pain. I have one fully maxed with skill shards and Talismans, and it's Power Move absolutely destroys the Trolls (Warrior and Assasin) in Underworld Madness. Otherwise it used to be very hard to defeat the Trolls unless I had a Trooper CR Eddie.
Now I pair it with my Soldier Eddie, and either Wicker Man or Warrior GS, and I can easily walk through all the Troll levels.
