Legendary Soul response accidentally turned into a rant... Sorry in advance... lol

Has there ever been a definitive list as to what toons are considered "Legendary"?

Ever since I started back in July I can honestly say I've been furious over every legendary soul I've cashed in. I mostly get useless toons like the Corrupt Harpy that I got when I finished the campaigns. It seems that now I only get 4* dupes of 3* characters that I've already evolved to 5*. I don't think I understand where this game is going.

All the time and effort spent to get resources through the grind just to try and decide if I should get skill shards to invest in a toon that will just be nerfed and I can't reallocate the skill shards into something that might be more useful, or if I should get souls that will most likely be a "Legendary Disappointment".

I love this game, but with the amount of time it takes out of my day to get mediocre rewards has me questioning my sanity. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result just doesn't work for me. I remember when I started and the game only let you play for so long because you had a limited amount of SoT and you didn't have the ironite to refill all the time... The next levels were interesting and you saw new enemies that you had no idea the best way to defeat them... That was the most fun for me... but now with the game finished and no new content with the exception of Arena, I find myself bored beyond belief.

I think the only reasons I keep playing is because I feel a responsibility to all of my loyal troopers and want to help them as much as I can. I have so many 3* evo shards but not one more toon that I feel is deserving of being evolved to a 5. I wish the game could return to something that I truly enjoyed doing and not something that I feel obligated to do. Part of my dilemma is that I've invested so much time into this game that I find it hard to let go. The hope that things will change and it will become an interesting game again has me perplexed. At what point do you "Cut bait" and just move along without looking back.

Promises... promises... and maybe someday the game will once again live up to my expectations... Who knows??? Nobody... Not even the Devs...

With the state of the game right now it would actually be more rewarding if you could choose to spend 4 hours out of your day playing or 30 minutes. The time it takes to use all your troopers and complete all the daily tasks is more than excessive. The fact that the inventory system has never been properly fixed is also an issue that I and many others have raised in the past. When you are spending the time grinding and then have to spend more time selling off runes, shards and characters, it just makes me tilt my head and squint while uttering something profane. The fact that I still have the same phone is a testament to how much better I have become and controlling my temper. :-) I'd love to see a survey about how many phones have been broken due to frustration with the bugs and poor RNGuess statistics.

Which brings up another thought... I know how RNG works, but with this game it really doesn't seem to be the case. I see so many people with the same complaints about duplicate characters. And the duplicate characters I get are all different from theirs. I have yet to get a PDK and yet I see people who have 5 of them. I also saw someone the other day in Arena who had two Prisoners!! How can this be possible if it truly is Random? I know some people are more lucky than others but someone with two extremely rare prisoners???

Ok... This is why I don't post very often. This was intended to be in response to another post and it quickly escalated into a long and drawn out rant, so I'll just copy it and put it in a new thread.

Sorry, but my frustration level is high with this daily time suck and suppose I just needed to vent. Thanks to all my loyal troopers and I'll keep sending badges your way as long as I can. But the amount of time required to play and stay relevant needs a remedy.

Now that I've got all my troopers taken care of for the day I suppose I'll go work on cleaning out the garage or playing one of my guitars in the music room... I have about 7 hours before the cycle starts again... :D

Right... I suppose that's why I find it so irritating!! When you use a word like "Legendary" it needs to be special... it needs to be a reward for work you put in. If you put 4*s on a sandworm or meathead you sure as hell better not be calling it legendary... lol...

I better stop typing... my ranting soapbox is is creeping dangerously close to me at the moment. I think I need to leave the room and maybe watch a commercial about new kitchen gadgets that will make my food so much easier to prepare... :D

A Legendary Soul should give you a Legendary character and since were all Maiden fans here I think we can agree. The only Legendary Character in this game is Eddie himself. Yes, there is a lot of really awesome characters in this game but considering we have all pulled thousands of rare souls and already acquired most of the characters that you can get from a Legendary Soul, It is just false advertisement at this point. I got a Pharaoh Eddie from my first Legendary Soul after completing campaign and I was elated. I would have been mad as hell if I would have pulled a Rocket Dog. I got a Warrior Child of the Damned from one later... Acceptable, I guess. I am perplexed to why this hasn't been fixed... just sell the characters in the store for ironite and let us decide whether we wan't to buy them or wait for RNG to decide when to give them to us. I now have 8 Legendary Souls and 17 Gunner/Assasin souls waiting for sacrifice before I open. I honestly expect all duplicates!

Anything less and you're essentially slapping players in the face when they open one of these souls. I was thinking same things. Nice rant by the way. Legendary souls need to be 5 star characters, and why not have Eddie souls! Why not have a in between 4 star ultra rare soul , or just a gunner soul. Why do ass/guns gotta be in the same category? In my quest to get a Cyborg Eddie I got lots of assassins which shaped how my game has become. Still no Cyborg Eddie . The devs have been very quiet lately so I'm hoping they got something big coming soon.

5* chars should be any toon with a passive ability. It's so simple. Such an easy rule to base 5* chars on. (Edit: 5* Lengendary Souls that is)

I have a friend that started playing a month or so after me and bought one of those and got Carriage Rider Eddie, Angel of Fear and Pharaoh Dog King... Hell, I played most of the early game with Soldier Eddie, Soldier Blue & an Ox Cultist. I remember when one of my early troopers pulled a Corrupt General and another one had an awesome Wicker Man. I used these two each night for a month to inch forward clearing the Lord of Light dungeons... If I would have just bought the legendary pack and got an Angel of Fear... By the way I saw an earlier thread where you were looking for a new trooper. I have two to replace if you're still looking.

With legendary souls we are just certain to get a 4* character minimum.
Seriously those souls are the most frustrating souls in the game because they are (were) very rare so we have to much expectations about them!
This is a little better now because we can buy 1/month thanks to the arena shop...
From my experience i never got a good character from a LS (from a dupe soldier eddie when i finished the game to dupes AoF and green GS from my last ones)
All my premium characters came from normal standard or G/A souls... just need time, luck and some ironite savings!

Well 2 out of 4 isn't bad I guess. I have 2 War Trolls and the Wicker Man. Not to handy when you go up against the Prisoner/CG combo though. Would much more prefer a CG myself. I have a Lengendary and a few rare souls that are hanging out in the BoS too. Same reason. Waiting for sacrifice. Tired of spending hundreds of thousands of gold coins to expand character inventory just for more dupes.

On the other hand, my last 3 lengendary souls have been non dupe chars, the Death Dog being the best of the bunch. I'll make him my champ after he's fully maxed so my troopers that don't have him can see the crazy damage he's capable of dealing.

about the game being time sucking.... i agree. i'm still in school and it's really hard for me to play all troops, but i still do. come home boot the game up while i make (way too much) homework. i'm also a pretty passionate pc gamer, so i constantly look at 2 screens at a time, 1 screen with a pc game, and 1 with the legacy :p to use all my troopers, i have always been up till 1 am, constantly getting only 5 hours of sleep. not saying that's the legacy's fault, it's just one of my shitty ideals to use all troops. and about the rng.....it's been like... 82? 82 days since the release of viking eddie, i have opened 1 sentinel and 1 rare soul everyday, somtimes more, sometimes less, but still everyday! no viking.

I've been working from home for the past few months while they do renovations to our office, so I can generally balance my time and run the game on auto throughout the day and just look down at my phone every few minutes or so to move on to the next trooper. Sadly yesterday was a crazy busy day at work and I was unable to use all my troopers. In fact many trooper badges were lost. When I finally had some time to play, I only had 30 minutes until the reset and it wasn't nearly enough. I'm starting to think I may need to take a break from the game until they come up with a solution. I don't want my troopers to suffer because I don't have time to send badges their way. We've got some projects coming up at work and unless I can teach one of my dogs to play for me while I'm busy, I fear there will be more missed badges. I'm not going to be upset if my troopers replace me with someone who can be a guaranteed "Daily player", but I just know that I'm not going to be as dependable as I've been in the past. I'll do my best to use all troopers, but it weighs in the back of my mind when I can't. I don't want to be a "One way trooper" Hopefully the Devs offer a solution soon. I still love the game and I don't mind the grind so much when I have time to kill, but all the hours out of the day to complete all responsibilities is just not a sustainable business model... lol. I love the game!! But I love my paycheck a whole lot more!! :D

I still love the game and I don't mind the grind so much when I have time to kill, but all the hours out of the day to complete all responsibilities is just not a sustainable business model... lol. - many promises over and over for months, and very few real changes

this game is evolving, but it's evolving way too slow. every few months some changes is not enough to keep people playing.

only the most insane ones, like me and some fellow forum members and troopers can take such long streaks of boredom ;-)

most people, will quit after a while but some of us seem to have masochistic tendencies...

at the moment it's more a daily routine than enjoyment at all for me. the thing that would help me the most is an option to shorten the
time needed to fulfill every f'n obligation out there. and sacrifice to get some rewards out of the dupes and useless normal souls.

Fully agree with Slauki, it's hard not to rant about the game when so many things, minor or major go unchecked or unfixed. My only hope is that my patience will hold out longer than the steady decline into insanity takes.

Yup!!! I suppose many of us are in the same boat...

And yes I have to agree with you about many of the long time players have collected some really great characters although RNG somehow knows the ones I want right now and is playing hard to get... I'm pretty happy with my team, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't be excited if it threw me more bones I want to chew and not just the same bones I have or the ones I continue to sell :-)

I love the game and so I'll press on and do my best to use all my troopers until things improve. Hopefully sooner rather than later. I just feel guilty if I don't get to use all of my loyal troopers. It doesn't happen very often, but with extra projects being added at work the time gets shorter and shorter for me to dedicate to playing. A speed play option is a must for this game with all the obligations to fulfill. Surely the Devs have heard the cries of the people and will implement this feature. It would really make the game better while we wait for the new PvE content.

As much as I hate to admit it, I think I have the same masochistic tendencies as you... lol
