Hey guys and girls,

as the old forum members know, i love these kind of threads :)

So the Idea in short:

The crucial part about the immortal soul event is the dropchance of the fragments. If they drop like rare souls we will never get an eddie in 48 hours ;).

To get a quick idea of the dropchances i would like to ask you to post the number of fragments you get for every refill.

For example 2 refills --> 50 fragments

i will edit the start post and after some hours we will have a real good idea of the dropchances.

So we will know very fast if it's a reasonable investment or a fuckup. If we play all on our own it might take 24 hours or more to get a grasp of it. With the power of the swarm we might get an idea very soon, if some of you participate....

okay guys and girls good luck for your favourite eddie (hoping for cyborg, samurai, rainmaker and aces high and 100 skillshards ;-) )

Thanks for coordinating this! It would also be good if people would note which LoL floor(s) they focused on during each refill. I plan to do X manually as much as I can, but I'm sure some refills will be spent on VII or VIII, so I can do them on auto while giving attention to other things that can't be neglected. Alrighty, here are some numbers from my first run through:

Level X
Refills: 1+ (I had daily reward SoT carry over)
Fragments: 70
Average: 70 per refill

Considering I had more than a full refill in SoT to start, I wanted to include an additional number. I did 13 battles of LoL X, so the Average Per Battle is 5.384615385 Immortal Soul Fragments. Seems like a decent rate of return to me.

Another thing I wanted to consider was the cost of the Immortal Fragment Pack in the store. It's 1200 Ironite for 250 Immortal Fragments + 3 Precious Souls. Discounting the addition of Precious Souls, how does purchasing the pack stack up against using that Ironite on Sands of Time & earning the fragments via LoL? Here's how I looked at it:

-With that 1200 Ironite, you can buy 40 refills of Sands of Time
-With that 40 refills, you have 3200 Sands of Time
-With that 3200 Sands of Time (not accounting for Sands accrued at the end of a battle), you can complete 400 rounds of LoL X
-Assuming average rate of return, 400 rounds of LoL X will net you 2153.846154 Immortal Soul Fragments (this is based on my Average Per Battle Number)

All in all, it looks like plowing through LoL X will provide the best rate of return vs purchasing the pack, if you have the time to do it. That said, if I have the chance to get another Immortal Soul towards the end of the event, I may buy it.

EDIT: Looking at other numbers, it looks like most levels of LoL are providing decent return. For those that didn't do LoL X, how many per instance were you netting? I got 10 fragments sometimes, 15 fragments a few times as well.

Right, the only way that makes sense is if you need those 250 fragments to push you over the edge at the end. No one should be buying that until 30 minutes before event expiration.

Yeah, too much whiskey and sweet leaf to track refills, sorry. Probably about 12-14 runs per refill. Just doing ticks on my sheet. Figured refill count was kinda moot considering bonus SoT awards are at the hand of RNGesus.

80 X = 460.

Nice come back that I attribute to the randomizer pulling up Fear of the Dark from June 2003 at Waldrock. One of the best Maiden boots I have ever heard. Super clean recording of a great set.

Btw, for those of you who are having trouble autoing LoL X, here's the team I'm using if it's any help: Maxed Soldier Eddie, Maxed AoF, Maxed AGS, and an unsharded Assassin ABB. This team has done really well, and in over 30 runs has only lost once because my Assassin ABB decided to use his power move at the worst possible moment. I really wish we could have autofarming settings and could choose to have certain toons only use their basic attacks.

Edit: Nvm, turns out the reason my emulator wouldn't open LoL was because I had it set to sync the time with my computer. Resetting that option made LoL open up. :D

For anyone who needs autofarming team help, I switched out my Assassin ABB as his power move is far more of a liability than it is useful in autofarming. Now I'm running with a team that most veteran players should have access to: Soldier Ed, AoF, AGS, and the new contender, Assassin Soulless Demon! The purple SD works really well in autofarming with the recent update that makes him get an extra turn when using his power move. Too awesome with his invincibility!

I started my first refill and realized that I needed to charge my phone, so my next report will include some extra runs because of the SOT I earn back from the time not playing the game.

I came up with a team, any ordinary player could make:

AG, Nomad ,AoF (naked (aka no talismans) and soldier!

Round 1: Everyone fuckng attacks a golden son (always), except nomad, nomad then uses mirage on the son that revived himself, kills all enemies, golden sons revive, u get extra turn, kill all that is left.

Round 2: repeat same shit

Round 3: switch to the carriage rider that i totally mentioned u gotta have, use fury, rape a golden son, mirage on the revived son, gain a turn, switch back to soldier (there should be a son and the lol left), use roulette, hope u get energy, use AG's grand strategy, attack Lucifer with AoF and nomad, done.

And thats how i made my ultimate strategy for flawlessing gunner X

I was thinking the same thing. With the recent NoL change, I find Gunner LoL much easier than Assassin on Floor 10. So, I'm trying to get as many Gunner refills in as possible.

Yup haha I am only missing some Assassins and Gunners from all 5* roster, will not have any problems later on with this :D

Plan C, get Grim Reaper up in here and ress AoF, while expecting to get an extra turn cuz he killed his target, useless AoF comes back with -93 hp and gets raped again, then they rape Grim Reaper (naked btw) and i lose.

with my initial SoT (without the amount for SL) and 3 refills, i played 47 match on LOL X = 460 fragments and 89 common souls

at the 4th refill the droprate felt and i've only got 40 fragments

It seems to me that the game give you fragments more frequently if you kill the boss at the first round...

Btw, my pull was a dupe vampire hunter eddie...rng hates me...

I am finding my Magus Corrupt Rescuer is a godsend here. She is pretty much freezing the whole team every time at the start of the round when I use her power move. From there I am using my Nomad, AoF and whatever Trooper's Eddie to pick them off. Saying that I am close to the point of using all my Trooper's Eddies up and am going to have to use Trooper's other chars so I will have to drop Nomad or AoF out.

Discounting the addition of Precious Souls, how does purchasing the pack stack up against using that Ironite on Sands of Time & earning the fragments via LoL? Here's how I looked at it:

-With that 1200 Ironite, you can buy 40 refills of Sands of Time
-With that 40 refills, you have 3200 Sands of Time
-With that 3200 Sands of Time (not accounting for Sands accrued at the end of a battle), you can complete 400 rounds of LoL X
-Assuming average rate of return, 400 rounds of LoL X will net you 2153.846154 Immortal Soul Fragments (this is based on my Average Per Battle Number)

All in all, it looks like plowing through LoL X will provide the best rate of return vs purchasing the pack, if you have the time to do it. That said, if I have the chance to get another Immortal Soul towards the end of the event, I may buy it.

EDIT: Looking at other numbers, it looks like most levels of LoL are providing decent return. For those that didn't do LoL X, how many per instance were you netting? I got 10 fragments sometimes, 15 fragments a few times as well.

Right, the only way that makes sense is if you need those 250 fragments to push you over the edge at the end. No one should be buying that until 30 minutes before event expiration.

Convert will prompt you to change the immortal fragments to precious ones. Use Claim, then go to Book of Souls and do the regular process

I can't weigh in with accurate numbers - had a burst water pipe in the bathroom this morning and was fixing it all day - farming LoL X at the same time ... I hope there are no LoTB leaks now :)

But the average 60-80ish per refill seem about right. Could also convert my first soul and got a Vampire - not a dupe! Cool ...

Off to the pub now but will farm LoL X later. My auto farming team is not the fastest but very reliable if somebody is searching for a team. They are all full sharded:

CR, Sentinel Harpy, Red Troll, AGS

P.S: One MACL0 today but got the drop after the restart - including 15 fragments ... MACL0 still not nice but at least it seems you don't loose that much any more - not sure about the trooper points. So whoever it was - sorry!

Before Assassin day starts, do any of you have good autofarming team tips for Assassin LoL X stage for those of us without a Prisoner? With any luck, I might get lucky and pull him from a legendary or G/A soul granted from a vortex bonus before the event ends, but until that happens (or doesn't), stage X will be quite tough to auto. :S

So far, I'm toying with using Cyborg (or Soldier Ed), DM, Gunner GS, and AoF. Three single-target attackers should hopefully keep the revenges to a minimum, RNGesus willing.

Soldier, AoF, AGS, Prisoner. All maxed. Autoplay LoL X, even if AI makes some dumb move, it reacts immediately always so the round is eventually faster. I'll try to go with Soldier Ed on strike talismans, and replace AGS for Gunner ABB when LOL changes to assassin mode

Mjust got a whopping 110 fragments from a refill! Last level was fucked cuz assassins took over and troopers reset and i used kardas's nav eddie which made the lvl a walk through the park. And that gave me 15 which made my 85 into a whopping 110!

I hate Assassin LoL post-NoL change! On my latest run, I dropped down to 7 to see how the drops compare to 8 and X. I ended up with 100 fragments! Anyone else having a similar experience? I may just stay here.

I'm not sure, man. I did the same thing earlier, but ended up going back to stage X because I found the drops from VII to be rather minuscule. Stage X may take longer, but I appear to get far more fragment drops from it.

Thanks again slauki for coordinating this! And, thanks everyone for reporting! I found the early reports very helpful when trying to decide how hard to push.

Below are my final stats for the event. Who knows if any future event will have similar drop rates - but, maybe this can be helpful at some point in the future.

Total Souls Earned: 6
Total Fragments Earned: 3,000 (2,990 from LoL + 10 from NF)

SoT Refills Used: 47 (some were split between LoL & Skull Quests)
Ironite Spent for SoT Refills: 1290
Total LoL Runs: 577
Ave Fragments per Run: 5.18

I split my time between Floors 7, 8, and X.

Floor 7
SoT Refills Used: 22 (some were split between LoL & SQs)
Total LoL Runs: 285
Ave Fragments per Run: 4.65

Floor 8
SoT Refills Used: 14 (some were split between LoL & SQs)
Total LoL Runs: 156
Ave Fragments per Run: 5.90

Floor X
SoT Refills Used: 11
Total LoL Runs: 136
Ave Fragments per Run: 5.48

So, no material difference between Floors 8 and X. Floor 7 did seem to give fewer fragments per run, but this was mitigated by a lower SoT cost per run. Plus, I seemed to get better SoT drop rewards from Floor 7 than from 8 and X.

In the end, 1290 Ironite for 6 5* Eddies, 750+ regular souls, ~5 rare souls, plus all the Gunner and Assassin shards I'll ever need was a pretty good deal.

I didn't have much luck with the BoS on those 6 Eddies (only 1 non-dupe, despite only having 3 of the 9 Eddies going in to the event), but the domino effects of the resulting Essence is sure to bring great things . . . I'm saving the Sacrifices for later in the week.

Thanks again Nodding Frog for a great event! With Sacrifice and Fragments in place, I have a feeling that the dam is about to break regarding these kinds of events. At least, I hope so!
