I had a greater gold idol worth 300k at lv1 3* and still worth 300k when evolved to 4*, I feel like they have just a based amount that doeset depend on lvl/rank

Yeah, Sparton confirmed this. No point in wasting gold/shards leveling up any gold idols. Just sell the 'lil buggers as soon as you get 'em.

Those gold souls and sacrificial heart could still be seen as characters.

I surprisingly got a “Magnificent Gold Idol”, which is a natural 5*, and if I sell it as-is at 5* Level 1, it shows that I will receive 1M gold for it.

My question is if it is worth leveling it up to 100...I don’t have many Gunner XP shards, so don’t want to waste them if I can avoid it.

Even if you level it up to 100 you still get 1M gold, so total waste of shards! It’s the same with every gold idol. They are not for leveling up.

Wow, so just 800 more essence when the Ultimate sacrificial heart is levelled up to 100? That is crazy...not worth leveling up then.

I scored 3 of these recently, so will sit on them for a while. I see SK has levelled his up and was curious if it was worth doing for extra essence.
