3* Evo Shard Farming

I know there are some threads on this already but they are pages long and need to be wade through, so here's a list of best places to farm for the elusive shards which i found best for farming.

3* Red and Purple (by far the most common ones) - Road to Run and Snake Eyes (the first 2 maps in Underworld either on Hard or Madness)

3* Blue - Toys of Death and Eagles Nest (Battlefield on Madness)

3* Yellow - Road to Run, Snake Eyes and Wayward Path (Underworld on Madness)

3* Green - Heart of Darkness (Battlefield on Madness)

3* Rainbow - Toys of Death, Shell Shocked (Battlefield on Hard and Madness) and Road to Run, Snake Eyes (Underworld on Hard or Madness)

Obviously there are other maps where they drop but from my experience so far these maps seem to have the best drop rates. I will edit this post when I see other maps with better drop rates.

After playing about 10 rounds of Snake Eyes [madness], I'm already getting ** and *** evo shards!
I was beginning to think they were just a myth, like the unicorns. You know, rainbow and all...

The future suddenly looks a lot less bleak!

Well, I somehow have 4 3* Yellow shards, but haven't unlocked Underworld Madness due to the freezing glitch (I have stopped playing past Underworld Hard - Snake Eyes until that glitch is fixed). I don't specifically remember seeing them drop (probably late night grinding trooper points). Any one else finding yellow 3* elsewhere besides Underworld madness?

There is an increased chance for 3* s dropping in secret levels. Also on rare occurrences you may get 4 items dropped. As only the first 3 are shown without scrolling, it is entirely possible that you missed them on the rewards screen.

Overall I have had the best luck with Chains of Misery Underworld Madness. Approximately 33% drop rate for shards. However, not ideal for specific colors or stars. You will get a 3* yellow on round and 3 1*s red the next. Decent Xp and gold.

Part of me still believes it is all RNG but I keep farming Road to Ruin Madness and I have managed 2 more Gunner 3* putting me at 4/6. Of course my luck has been terrible and this is over the course of weekend with easily 150 matches.

Numbers to date
36 Rainbow 3*
10 Warrior 3*
3 Sentinal 3*
17 Assassin 3*
5 Magus 3*
4 Gunner 3*

I have gotten tons of 2* of all colors and tons of runes for my troubles though.

Edited - These are total game numbers not my numbers over the weekend.

Yay, After 200+ matches over the last few days of farming just got my last 3* Gunner shard. So I farmed exclusively Road to Ruin Madness and received 4 gunner within 200-225 matches. Keep at it guys and good luck to all.

Way to go. Done 5x that and still only have 2 3* gunner shards. I have capped 20 talismans 2 warrior, 2 Magnus, have shards for 3 sentinels and 4 assassin to 5 *. Yet the gunner eludes me.

The drop rates on timerift dungeons seem to be very low :(. Only at Level 8-10. What are your rates?

Since Time Rift Dungeons opened I've had 5, total.

It seems to me that the drop rates are fairly high the first run through. After that the 3* evo shards appear to have the same rate as they did in Underworld before the Nerf-bat struck. The nice thing is that I have yet to see an off color drop.

Ah I need my reds. A lot of the characters I have queuing to level up are reds. And you're not having yellows. Not after I brought my Voidling up from 1* all the way to 4* lev79... She DESERVES to get 5* ;)

Found a green 3* evo shard in secret level battlefield "hard". So it seems they can drop in the lower levels and not only in madness level...

The drop rates on 3* rainbow evo shards has been atrocious lately. I've been trying to farm level IX of the Time Rift Dungeon for the past 4 days and I got one - Just one. I need nine for each upgrade and I've got lots of level 80 Eddies and Allies waiting in line for an upgrade. Supply and demand is not in their favor. At this rate, it will take a couple of weeks to get enough rainbow shards to upgrade only one of them. I'm not sure if this is part of the master plan, but this feels tedious and unrewarding.

Is there a better place to farm these precious shards other than the dungeons? I thought that's what the dungeons were for.

This info is definitely NOT accurate for current drops. I have never, ever got a single 3* evo shard from anywhere other than the Lord of Light dungeon, and even there it is slim pickings. This must be pre-nerf drops from months ago.

Ah, thats easy. I've gotten millions auto-farming battlefield madness (along with a heap o' greens).

I think after the update the places where 3*Red Runes drop are Kindom of Sands Madness and Battlefield Madness.
