Looks like a Legacy of the Beast Comic series is coming! Its being done by Heavy Metal so I'm wondering if Kevin Eastman (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle co creator) will have a hand in it. Ive been a comic book dork all my life so this is right up my alley. Bonus points to the person who knows the comic my icon pic is from. :D

Hey Sparton anyone on your end know if this will be a stand alone comic or if the only way to get it will be in the Heavy Metal Magazine?

It looks really neat frankly! Also a positive indicator on the game's lifespan.

Additionally, I will also be supremely interested in how they're gonna expand the story in the game. One's options for storytelling are very limited in a mobile game I guess.

Ok so it looks like Kevin J. West did the art for this one. No Kevin Eastman or Derek Riggs. I only have one comic in my collection with his work (Evil Dead 2: Revenge of Hitler). It appears he does commissions so I'm gonna shoot him an email about a custom Maiden related piece i have in mind.

What the hell? There's another Cultist hanging out with the Ox, Owl and Wolf...

Looks like Derek Riggs will have a part in this after all. He is doing a variant cover for the Iron Maiden comic premiere in Heavy Metal Magazine 287. Ive seen articles saying it will also be published in Metal Hammer Magazine.

So we missed it. At San Diego comic con they had 666 copies...
But the Heavy Metal #287 will be out this month and it has the same story I THINK in it, with cover by yes... DR himself!

Here is the pic of stand alone. 3416

I believe that Heavy Metal #287 contains the first several pages of the story. Then, the rest of the story will be told in a stand-alone series of 5. The pic from Comic-Con is a special edition #1 of the 5. Those 5 will hit this fall. I could be wrong on some of those details, but I think it's accurate based on information I've gathered from several different sites.

In any case, I picked up Heavy Metal this weekend, and the story is awesome! I won't give any details here in order to avoid spoilers, but the philosophical implications of Eddie got even cooler. And, the art is fantastic! Definitely pick it up!

The Comic con exclusive issue still available directly from Heavy Metal Magazine. $20 is pricey though. Looks like the single issues don't release until late Oct.

NP, they have the Derek Riggs variant cover in stock to. I mention because it was kind of a pain for me to find somewhere that was stocking the variant covers.

Trying to make a long story short, went in to local shop about two weeks before first release to set a pull list, went in on 16-17 Oct and no book; they said might have been too close to release to preorder so it didn't get in but should come in on special order in a week or two, but he'd check on it.
Went in last night to get first two books, since book two was out last week... they got nothing, not even any record of my pull list, even though it was in the bin in Oct, just with no book.
Not real happy and trying to figure out what I should do, I decided to give them another chance and comic guy does a special order sheet and sets a list for the rest.

I get home and check online again to check release dates, and it seems like only book one is out, and that was bumped two weeks later, and now book two has been changed to either 6 or 16 Dec release.

I'm not a comics guy, and never heard of a pull list until I started figuring out how to get these.
Is this a typical situation?
Is there a better place to find info than Previeworld?
Store does seem to have screwed up with my info, but maybe something with the date changes is part of the issue.
The shop has been around for at least 25 years (though a couple owner changes), and I like to buy local if I can, but this is all new to me, so no idea what to expect.

So, has anyone gotten any of these books yet?
Which ones?
