Afternoon all :)

Really not cool of this what's happening here... I have to skip TONS of useless stuff to read something interesting or find the thread I am lookin' at... So there's no way to get rid of the spammers for real from here or nobody cares far too much to be honest?
I see the human verification seems to not working properly and help stopping the spammers... I have to burn my eyes everytime in searching all those cars, road sings and whatever but evil that men do lives on and on sad to say...

So... How about the REAL authentication of account some admins could provide to save us from flood of junk? Some few simple questions that every Maiden fan who not being the spam boot should know the answers? Like: ''In which year Steve Harris replaced Nicko behind the drumkit''? Or In which album Maiden did a cover of Abba ''Trouper Not so Super'' later on with changed the name, few chords and so the lyrics due to law issues?''

Well... Do something anybody to keep our home clean and tidy, please... Thanks :)

Nah, only cars and road signs for me, sometimes the roads themselves too, but no trousers so far...

Full ack Wit! Reporting spam every time, but slowly it's getting really irritating. Wait one minute, next report, wait one minute, next report... they should really do sth about it!

Same here, I was blocked in the beginning when I signed in the forum and needed a few days and emails to support to have it fixed but it looks that those spammers are really good for no reason, I don't know what will they gain by posting BS like that on this forum.

the amount of spam this week is horrible, thanks for posting about it Witkacy! NF better wise up because it seems to me the barbarians are getting close to their gates.

There isn't a regular and active moderator right now is there? They need to make a few forum regulars moderators in my opinion. Whatever happened to Kaijester - he just seemed to slip away quietly :(

Hey guys. We try to get to the spam as fast as possible, but unfortunately it seems like the majority of it gets posted overnight/early morning. We're looking into some new anti-spam measures since it does seem to be getting out of hand.

Like I said, why not just give a few prominent and regular posters moderator rights so they can get rid of the crap as soon as it appears?

I think that far better sollution would be permanently blocking the ability of spreading spam (IPs bans?), than allow it to happen then delete everything... I find it time consuming and NOT as effective...

I am thinking more short term while it takes however long it is going to take to look at and implement alternative anti spam systems. IP bans won't work as they are probably bouncing through proxy servers left, right and centre.

Look at tha last hour and a half - 85 posts of sheer spam posted :( :( :(
